A ten meter flybridge cruiser with four persons onboard was saved from sinking near Santa Margarida, Girona, the Mediterrean side of Spain on the morning of Monday eleven August. Salvamento Maritimo responded to the emergency with the Salvamar vessel and the Lyra crew, and rescued the four boaters first. After this the emergency operation was continued to save the boat, with the Lyra lifeguard crew finding the water ingress coming from the exhaust riser and securing it, after which they towed the flybridge cruiser to its mooring in Santa Margarida.
