Two boaters were saved as a twelve meter aft cabin cruiser went ablaze in Loggerhead Marina at Lantana, Florida at about 15:15 of Labor Day Monday fourth September. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tended to the fire first, and were then helped by Boynton Beach Police Marine Units. The fire units fought the fire from both land and water, with ending semi-sunk and a wreck. The two boaters were reported to be having an afternoon rest, with the fire alarms alerting them of the danger as they escaped. They were later taken to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
