New Model: Aquila 45 Sport

Aquila Catamarans has launched the 45 Sport power catamaran it's largest offer in it's Sport range, which includes three models designed upwards of nine meters. With the benefit of a large beam, stability and seakeeping abilities, the 45 Sport has a thoughtful design for both exhilaration and comfort. Designed in partnership with Florida-based Yacht Design Works, the 45 Sport has a styling inspired by luxury SUVs with bold, contemporary lines and a commanding presence. The aft cockpit of the 45 Sport acts as the main social hub onboard. By utilizing the hydraulic flip-down hull side terraces, the beam is extended to an extra two meters, creating an even larger space which also brings guests closer to the water and increases connection with the sea. Two flexible U-shaped seating areas convert to a large sunbed, while the galley area accommodates optional BBQ and television installations for all-day entertainment. An integrated slide-out stainless-steel swim ladder with teak steps provides seamless access to the water. The bow of the 45 Sport is another key, full-beam social space. It has forward-facing sun loungers with flip down armrests and other conveniences, such as cup holders and phone storage. The central bow hatch provides easy access to the anchoring system with additional hatches to each side, providing storage for fenders and dock lines. There is an expansive hardtop roof with integrated racks, designed for storing water sports equipment. A concealed aft electrical slide out awning provides extensive shade cover when required. Below deck, there is a large cabin with light wood laminate furniture with matching hardwood trim and maintenance-free synthetic flooring. The cabin is filled with natural light thanks to a large ceiling skylight. It also features a king size bed and a large private wet head with shower. The Aquila 45 Sport utilizes double-stepped hull technology that delivers top speeds above 50 mph and efficient 30-40 mph cruising, with power coming from twin Mercury 600hp.

Project: Maxi Dolphin MD51P Walkaround

The walk-around call is hard to resist, as Maxi Dolphin Power presents the project for the MD51P Walkaround. Here we see the first renders of the new MD51P Walkaround, Maxi Dolphin’s latest motor yacht project set to arrive in 2027. Currently under construction, the MD51 Power Open debuted the motor power range in 2007 a limited production semi custom open yacht, combining refined design, functionality, and the attention to detail that has always defined the Maxi Dolphin brand. The first unit is scheduled for delivery by the end of April 2027.

Classic Cruiser With One Aboard Ends Aground in Barnegat, New Jersey

A twelve meter classic cabin cruiser with one person and a dog ended aground on the North Jetty of Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey on the early afternoon of Saturday fifth September.  TowBoatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the yacht, first by towing the boat to safer grounded location, so that the one passenger and dog can be dropped and to dewater and make a temporary fix to the sustained damage.  Following this the classic boat was towed to Holiday Harbor Marina for an emergency lift out.  The boat ended aground for an error of navigation.

The boat in this accident is a Pacemaker 40 Motor Yacht as produced from 1972 to 1980.  Pacemaker was founded in 1948 by C.P. Leek and his sons, John E. and Cecil building boats and yachts from eight to 22 meters and up to 1980.

Founded in 1966 by Hugo Vold, Windy has had a slow but important expansion over the years and decades, becoming the known, respected and wall spoken builders from Scandinavia, and becoming famous for the handling and sea capability, of its sport cruisers and yachts.  In 1992 Windy purchased Draco, the 1963 founded competitor.  At first Windy drops most of the models, keeping only three units, only to return three small models in 1999 to 2002. Westport Yachts proudly marked a major milestone as they launch of the first hull in the new 41-meter raised pilothouse W135 semi production series at the start of this year. The launch of the first W135 represents a significant evolution in Westport’s semi-custom portfolio, blending proven performance with a refined raised pilothouse design. The 41-meter raised pilothouse super yacht is build in fully cored sandwich construction to ABS class and introduces a contemporary profile, enhanced interior volume, and long-range cruising capability, while maintaining the efficiency, reliability, and the quality for which Westport is internationally recognized. Designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of clients, the new W135 emphasizes comfort, functionality, and timeless styling. Cannes 2026 Boat Show Preview

Europe's fall boat shows start with the most important to the World, Europe and the Mediterranean sea exhibition, the Festival de la Plaisance of Cannes.  The 2026 Cannes boat show addition starts on Tuesday eight and ends Sunday thirtteen September. Cannes is a unique venue located in one of the yachting meccas of the world, the Cote d'Azur offering the opportunity to preview new models by many respected European builders with yacht owners and buyers from countries around the world gathering in this show to see the latest models in the Mediterranean play ground of the "Old" Port and the large yacht area in Port Pierre Canto, for this reason the boat is referred to as the Yachting Festival, because it does represent a Festival of Boating. The Cannes boat show debuted in 1977, with the event starting as a rather intimate local exhibition, becoming more successful over the years, and since the noughties is one of the most important boat shows in the World.  From the nineties, Cannes started to grow, with some of the Italian yacht builders helping in shaping the event as they started to preview World first of some models at the show.  An important show in this respect was the seventeenth 1994 edition which was a turn around event, as Cannes expanded its spaces.  In the noughties the show also added Port Canto to its Vieux Port exhibition spaces.  Port Canto debuted first as an area for super yachts and then in 2018 it became the sailing yachts area.  The Cannes Boat Show was cancelled in the 2020 and 2021 COVID years.

New Model: Saver 35 GT

Saver present the 35 GT, its new flagship and largest boat build to date.  The 35 GT is a sport cruiser designed for maximum comfort, thanks to large spaces, well-organized environments and equipment designed to make every stay on board pleasant.  The 35 GT offers accommodation for four persons in a forward cabin with a double bed, and second cabin aft features two single beds that convert to a large double bed.  In between the cabins is an interior galley and batrhroom.  Outside, the Saver 35 GT offers spaces designed for conviviality and relaxation. The wide-body cockpit features an L-shaped sofa, a table that converts into a sundeck, a wet-bar with a sink and provision for an outdoor kitchen or grill, as well as numerous storage compartments and a convenient sliding door to the cabin.  The forward and accessible from both side is a bow sundeck.  The 35 GT central helm station is completed by adjustable pilot and co-pilot seats with armrests, a silk-screened dashboard and a glass windshield integrated into the fiberglass hard top, equipped with a rear curtain and electric windshield wiper.  The Saver 35 GT is powered by twin 350hp outboard engines, but is certified to take up to twin 600hp.

Project: Galeon 420 Fly

Galeon proudly presents the 420 FLY project, the latest addition to the Polish builder successful Flybridge range range which today offers eleven models from eleven to its 25 meter flagship model. Building on the proven qualities of the Galeon 400 FLY, the new 420 Fly introduces refreshed styling and enhanced comfort, while retaining the practical dimensions that make yachts in this class suitable for a wide variety of marinas and cruising destinations. Its sleek profile, balanced proportions and enlarged side windows create a distinctive exterior appearance. Extensive glazing allows natural light to play across the superstructure and establishes a visual connection with the larger flagship models. Despite its compact dimensions, the 420 FLY offers an impressive amount of usable space across three thoughtfully designed levels. The aft cockpit offers a welcoming social space, featuring an L-shaped sofa with a folding table and a wet bar. The yacht’s symmetrical layout supports easy movement around the yacht and creates a natural flow between the yacht’s exterior and interior. At the bow, generous sun pads provide a comfortable spot to enjoy the sea breeze. With both balconies extended, the yacht reaches a width just short of six metres, significantly increasing the deck area. To starboard, a comfortable C-shaped sofa with a folding table creates a flexible dining and lounge area. A smaller sofa to port provides additional seating, while the adjacent galley allows meals and refreshments to be prepared without interrupting the social atmosphere. The main helm station is positioned forward to starboard and features a double helm seat. From here, the captain benefits from excellent visibility and convenient access to the yacht’s principal navigation and control systems. The lower deck offers two spacious cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The full-beam master cabin is situated amidships and features a king-size bed, generous storage and a private bathroom. Increased headroom enhances the sense of space and makes entering and moving around the cabin more comfortable. At the bow, the VIP cabin provides welcoming accommodation for family members or guests. The flybridge forms the heart of the yacht’s outdoor entertainment experience. A large seating and dining area with a folding table is complemented by a grill and wet bar, making the flybridge ideally suited to entertaining. The centrally positioned upper helm station provides clear all-round visibility and places the captain at the centre of the experience.
