Caribbean Boats New Web Site

Caribbean Boats presents its new web site.  Caribbean boats was founded in 1958 by Arch Spooner, first under International Plastics and then renamed as International Marine.  Arch Spooner is known as a pioneer in Australian boat building, and the first to introduce fiberglass boat building down under.  In the sixties International Marine will start building Bertram boats under licence.  In the eighties the Bertram licence agreement is ended, with the new line of boats named Caribbean.  In March 2025 Caribbean boats was purchased by Maritimo led by other down-under boat building legend Bill Barry-Cotter.  Caribbean Boats currently offers two models; the 27F Flybridge and 40F Flybridge which both debuted this 2026 year.  Caribbean Boats new web site takes you around with the following buttons; Our Story, Models, Experience, News, Find a Consultant, and Enquiry.  Caribbean Boats is also on social media with both links taking you to its Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages.

New Model: Caribbean 27F Flybridge

Caribbean goes step two under the new Maritimo ownership and presents the new 27F Flybridge.  The new 27F refines a legendary offshore hull into a bold, modern platform, evolving the classic Caribbean layout while setting a new benchmark for versatility and performance.  The Caribbean 27F carries forward the brand’s hard‑earned fishing DNA in a compact, highly capable offshore package. Its deep‑V hull is built to handle chop and run clean, while the open cockpit delivers a practical, uncluttered working space suited to casting, trolling, or bottom fishing. Designed for flexibility, the 27F can be easily configured with the gear serious anglers expect, yet remains equally at home as a versatile day boat. It’s a platform that speaks directly to fishermen who value performance, fishability, and the freedom to rig the boat their way.  The Caribbean 27F is designed to do more without compromise. Its open, intelligently planned cockpit provides generous usable space that can be configured for fishing, socialising, or day cruising, while the secure forward cabin offers genuine overnight capability. Seating, storage, and deck access have been carefully considered to maximise flexibility, making the 27F equally comfortable hosting a group at anchor as it is heading offshore with purpose.  The Caribbean 27F offers a selection of Mercury outboard power packages, ranging from twin 200hp up to optional 300hp, with the large option just short of a fifty knots top speed.

New Model: Caribbean 40F Flybridge

Purchased by Maritimo in Summer 2025, Caribbean shows its new direction by debuting its first new model, the 40F Flybridge.  The 40F is a replacement to the Caribbean 40 Mk.II, a totally revised and enhanced flybridge cruiser developed as a crossover platform equally capable of extended coastal cruising, offshore game fishing, as well as leisurely family boating.  The 40F draws heavily on the qualities that defined earlier Caribbean flybridge cruisers, namely strong seakeeping, dependable handling, deep-V offshore performance, and practical layouts, whilst introducing a more refined and contemporary interpretation of the Australian offshore cruiser.  Its exterior styling features sharper flybridge lines, cleaner and larger glazing areas, a modern hardtop profile, and a more sophisticated overall presentation, without sacrificing the purposeful functionality for which Caribbean became known.  The flybridge access has also been thoughtfully designed. Instead of compromising valuable cockpit space, the ladder is neatly positioned within the awning envelope on the starboard side, leading through a dedicated hatch to preserve a clean, practical layout. Balancing this arrangement, the port side incorporates the fridge/freezer, and functional amenities such as a sink and barbecue are situated on the right-hand side under the ladder, creating a package that is equally capable as a serious offshore performer and an exceptional entertainer.  Designed for serious time on the water, the Caribbean 40F delivers expansive spaces due to a total rethink of the deck and cabin design, including the removal of the side elements of the forward-facing glass to allow for increased fridge and pantry space. The result now has more integrated solutions built in with wide and practical side decks, a large contemporary saloon arrangement, updated onboard systems, and a flybridge helm configuration engineered for offshore visibility and usability.  The Caribbean 40F comes with multiple configurations, allowing owners to tailor the vessel toward dedicated fishing applications or family cruising requirements.  Performance and offshore capability remained central throughout development, with the 40F engineered around efficient shaft-drive diesel propulsion with an emphasis on reliability, predictable handling, offshore range and comfortable cruising efficiency.  The Caribbean 40F is standard fitted with Volvo 440hp, with the first hull fitted with the larger option of twin 670 horsepower.
