Three Boaters Saved as Sport Yacht Goes Ablaze Near Nettuno, Italy

Three boaters including a young five year old girl were saved from a seventeen meter sport yacht fire near Torre Asturia, Nettuno, Italy at around 19:00 of Saturday fourth July.  The yacht was assisted by the Port Captaincy of Anzio who assisted with the Guardia Costiera CP859 SAR boat and the B89 saving the boaters first.  Following the saving of the boaters, an operation to save the yacht was started which at this point was also taking in water and was in risk of sinking.  The saving of the yacht was a success with this then towed to the marina of Nettuno for inspection of eventual repairs.   

The yacht in this fire is an Atlantis 55 as designed by Stefano Righini and produced from 2004 to 2009.  The 55 was replaced by the Atlantis 54. 

Bertram Sportfish Yacht Part Sinks at San Juan, Puerto Rico

A not attended fifteen meter Bertram sportfish yacht named Vintage II partly sank at San Juan Bay Marina in San Juan, Puerto Rico on the afternoon of Monday six July.  US Coast Guard San Juan who reported the story on its Facebook page tended to the yacht accident, and following pollution protection as the yacht was oil leaking and polluting, advised the ownership to start salvage operations to float and remove the yacht.  

The Bertram yacht was then removed and dry docked on Wednesday evening.

The yacht in this fire is a 1992 Bertram 50 as designed by Dave Napier and produced from 1987 to 1996.  The 50 was a replacement to the 46 Convertible and was replaced by the Bertram 510.

Project: Dalla Pieta DP86 HT

Dalla Pieta present the project for a new DP86 HT.  Based on the DP80 which was produced from 2004 to 2008 in four units, the DP86 HT features differences in the fore deck, and aft deck layouts.  The DP86 HT will feature a four double cabins lower deck with crew accommodation for three.  The living is located on the main deck, while the galley located to port side, is to be found in a mid level layout accessible from the stair case which takes guests to the lower deck.  The Dalla Pieta DP86HT is to be powered by twin Cat 2200hp engines with line shaft propulsion for top speeds up to 35 knots.

Project: YOT 53 Inboard

YOT present the project for a new 53 Inboard model. The YOT 53 Inboard is the new flagship of the Catana power catamaran brand which debuted in 2023 with the 36 model, this followed by the 41 in 2025. Like all other smaller YOT models the 53 is designed by JNJ and is to be built do CE A category standards. The YOT 53 Inboard is available with three or four cabins lower deck layouts, with a crew captains cabin located forward. The living is all on the main deck with a central position galley located to port side. A massive flybridge covered by hard-top; offering large dinette, galley, and spacious sunbathing spacious forms part of a three exterior zone; the other two being the aft deck, and the foredeck lounge settee. The YOT 53 Inboard is to be powered by twin Yanmar 440hp as standard, and or optional 550hp.

New Model: Caribbean 40F Flybridge

Purchased by Maritimo in Summer 2025, Caribbean shows its new direction by debuting its first new model, the 40F Flybridge.  The 40F is a replacement to the Caribbean 40 Mk.II, a totally revised and enhanced flybridge cruiser developed as a crossover platform equally capable of extended coastal cruising, offshore game fishing, as well as leisurely family boating.  The 40F draws heavily on the qualities that defined earlier Caribbean flybridge cruisers, namely strong seakeeping, dependable handling, deep-V offshore performance, and practical layouts, whilst introducing a more refined and contemporary interpretation of the Australian offshore cruiser.  Its exterior styling features sharper flybridge lines, cleaner and larger glazing areas, a modern hardtop profile, and a more sophisticated overall presentation, without sacrificing the purposeful functionality for which Caribbean became known.  The flybridge access has also been thoughtfully designed. Instead of compromising valuable cockpit space, the ladder is neatly positioned within the awning envelope on the starboard side, leading through a dedicated hatch to preserve a clean, practical layout. Project: Saver 35 GT

Saver present the 35 GT project.  The 35 GT is Saver's largest model to date, and also debuts the new GT line for the Sicily made cruisers which are very popular in Southern Europe also for the very competitive quality/price offer.  The Saver 35 GT is a cross-over walk around sport cruiser type, offering a full beam cockpit with a forward raised deck for better accommodation in the lower deck.  The lower deck cabin offers a four berths accommodation plan with a double berth forward and twin berths at midships, galley to ports and shower/head opposite to starboard.  The Saver 35 GT can be powered by twin engines up to twin 600hp.

Projects: Baglietto Project 53, Baglietto Project 58

Baglietto presents the two 53 and 58 meter Project super yachts.  As the similar looks show, both the Project 53 picture above and the Project 58 pictured below come from a design of Enrico Gobbi.  The projects also show similar layouts with both featuring sleek low profile lines, and both offering a beach area aft with splash pool.  The Project 58 which was the first announced of the two projects, was first called the Vesta56 and is being offered with interiors by Meyer Davis.  Baglietto did not advise if these concepts are under construction, and if these will be part of a new line or are part of it's custom offer.
