Cigarette New Web Site

Iconic US powerboat builder Cigarette presents its new World wide web showroom.  Cigarette was one of the brands founded by at the time retired construction magnet Don Aronow. Cigarette debuted in 1969 with a racing 32 feet deep Vee hull featuring twin Mercruiser 475hp, and this hull expanded the Aronow fame of building winning boats from the start taking first at the Long Beach to Esenada Mexico race averaging 76 mph.  In three years time Cigarette with Aronow at the helm will win countless races including two World championships, three US titles, and breaking the record in the Miami Nassau race.  This success will continue with a dozen plus of other racers, winning countless races and titles all over the World.  Following this success of the Cigarette racing boat, the company presents its first production model the 28 Standard, which will be updated to the 28 Super Sleek a few years later.  In 1978 Aronow sells Cigarette to Halter Marine, with the idea of pursing horse racing and other stuff, but pass some time later on 188th street in Miami he founds Squadron XII experimenting with some 27 and 38 feet hulls.  Halter gives again opportunity to buy back into Cigarette for Aronow and with this he merges Squadron XII into the brand.  Don Aronow will buy back the remaining Cigarette shares but will sell the company in 1982 to Jerry Jacoby of Hawk engines, this featuring a clause that Aronow cannot build a deep Vee bottom till 1987.  Jacoby will sell Cigarette in 1984 to Jeffrey Friedman.  After the mid eighties Cigarette launches some important models still called as classics till today from the 35 Café Racer and the 38 Top Gun, this last selling 500 units as at year 2000 and as yet still in production.  The nineties will see Cigarette build the 42 Revolution 188 dedicated to its founding street, and 46 Rough Rider.  In 1994 CRT Inc founded by Bob Torter and Craig Barrie starts to head Cigarette.  In 1999 Cigarette introduces its first stepped hull this model will be the 38 Top Gun T/S.  In 2002 Cigarette is bought by Chicago businessman Skip Braver, who will sell in 2021 to John Ruiz and Lionheart Capital.  Today Cigarette builds a total of nine models divided into two lines; Performance Centre Console, and High Performance.  The smallest Cigarette is the long standing 38 Top Gun, with the flagship being the 59 Tirrana.  Cigarette new website takes you around with the following buttons; Boats, Our World, Store, and Contact.  Cigarette is also featured on social media on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube with link located at the bottom of the page.

New Model: Cigarette 38 AMG Electric Drive

Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing are launched the latest development of their cooperation at the Miami International Boat Show past February 2013. Numerous components from the SLS AMG Coupè Electric Drive have been integrated in the design of the "Cigarette 38 AMG Electric Drive Concept" engineering design. The high-performance drive fitted in the electric super sports car makes the off-shore powerboat the world's most powerful and fastest electrically driven motor boat. With an output of 2,220hp and a maximum torque of 3000 Newton metres the Cigarette 38 AMG Electric Drive is a fascinating new development.  Inspiration for the drive was very close to home for the US-American company, with the SLS AMG Coupè Electric Drive being the world's most powerful and fastest electrically driven series production vehicle in America. The technology, performance and design of the Cigarette powerboat is closely based on the electric super sports vehicle made in Affalterbach, Germany. This joint project underlines the technology leadership earned by Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing.  The 38 foot long Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept powerboat is finished in "AMG Electricbeam magno" - the matt chrome paintwork exclusively reserved for the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive. Proudly wearing AMG logos on the side, the powerboat is a clear sign of the alliance between the Miami-based boat manufacturer and Mercedes-AMG GmbH from Affalterbach, Germany. The design features also exemplify the transfer of technology from the gullwing to the powerboat. Mercedes-AMG uses two drive units, each featuring six independent electric motors. At the rear of the boat, each drive unit has its own transmission, one on the left and one on the right. A glance at the engine data proves that the boat is fitted with the twelve compact, liquid-cooled permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors which are the signature piece of the SLS AMG Coupè Electric Drive: each electric motor delivers 138 kW and 250 Newton metres. The maximum output of 1656 Kilowatts and maximum torque of 3000 Newton metres combine to reach a staggering top speed of over 80 knots making this locally emission-free "Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept" the world's fastest electrically driven powerboat. In keeping with the SLS AMG Coupè Electric Drive, the motors and the battery are ideally placed in the "Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept". The low centre of gravity and optimum weight distribution ensure sublime handling characteristics during more dynamic changes of direction.

Improve-it = Cigarette 39 Top Gun Unlimited

Ciagarette presented itself at the Fort Lauderdale show with an improved 39 Top Gun Unlimited, an evolution of this model featuring a new top deck profile, engine hatch redesign, enhanced cockpit fittings, and more powerful engine package.  The 39 Top Gun Unlimited in fact will be powered with staggered Mercury Racing 700's and NXT drives, kicking speed up a notch. Its Mercury Racing and Garmen instrumentation stand out on a black carbon fiber dash, and the full billet package includes speaker covers, foot boards, bolster bases, swim platform and fender holders.  The striking paint design of the first model of the improved 39 Top Gun Unlimited combined matte black, bright blue and lipstick red accents on shimmering pearl white to make a sleek silhouette and a classic Cigarette. The sharp black and white Daytona style interior show Cigarette's unrelenting attention to detail; white on white double stitching and design accents in the cockpit are carried into the "Cover Girl" cabin.  The new engine hatch design is another Cigarette statement on performance. Expanding the air-intake and cooling of the higher horsepower engines inspired this hatch which includes two, 3-D stainless steel, machined panels, framing a sizable sun pad with added stainless screens for a unique flair. While acting as an air-induction system, these panels add a touch to the revamped 39 Top Gun Unlimited and maybe even a little "Tail of the Dragon" feel as the boat achieves triple-digit speeds with ease.

Many Cigarette loyalists in the international markets had achieved a level to acquire what they wanted and the renowned US boat builder delivered at the time the 49 Grand Sport with an expanded ten feet beam, a full berth, separate shower head, and complete creature comforts of a private detailed cabin. The Grand Cigarette could accommodate more in everything from people, accessories, storage, to more powerful engine, and propulsion options. While maintaining the six feet head room in the cabin is a great attraction for taller customers the new 49 Grand Sport II deck has been raised for ease of movement in and out of the boat. Various seating options can be customized for boating preferences, but comfort, top-quality upholstery, and room to move about the boat remain Cigarette staples of design. Newly added features include a Cigarette designed custom made muffler exhaust system, and a Cummin Onan 5kw generator. The paint scheme of the 49 Grand Sport II is also special being designed with official Ferrari paints featuring Nero Daytona Black metallic, accented with Grigio Ingrid gold metallic and highlights of Ferrari Fiorano Rosso metallic red in the logo.
