Project: Breedendam Eightzero Sport

The Leeuwarden-based shipyard, Breedendam has revealed its latest super sport yacht concept: the 24-metre convertible Eightzero Sport designed by long-time collaborator, Guido de Groot who was also responsible for designing the WW2 British Navy-inspired Fourzero and Sixzero models.  The Breedendam EightZero Sport concept aims to take a fresh look at how a classy gentleman’s sport yacht look according to her designer, by taking the lines and level of outfitting beyond what is expected from a typical large open super sport yacht.  Designed with various interior layout possibilities and propulsion options on offer, the Eightzero Sport is home to a large open outdoor entertainment deck with different seating areas, including one to fore deck. She features a spacious multifunctional aft deck. This carefully thought out space is perfect for guests to relax and take in their surroundings with removable furniture available on request, and for deploying tenders and toys. In addition, her large aft garage has space for a tender, WaveRunner and numerous other water toys. Created with socialising in mind, a great deal of attention has been given to ensuring that exterior and interior spaces blend seamlessly together for a relaxing onboard experience, with the large main deck aft cockpit area designed so that it can easily become part of the saloon area once it is closed off. Accommodation is provided for up to eight guests across three cabins, comprising one master, one VIP cabin and one additional guest stateroom, all of which are ensuite, as well as one crew cabin which houses two crew. Performance-wise, the Eightzero can either be powered by three Volvo 900 or 1000hp with IPS1200 pod drives for estimated top speeds up to 32 knots.  Alternatively Breedendam is also offering larger Man or MTU engine with top speeds up to forty knots.

Project: Breedendam MTB Eightzero

Breedendam presents the project for the MTB Eightzero. Designed by Guido de Groot this pocket sized super yacht takes things further than the other smaller but successful Breedendam Threezero and Fourzero models as she has a flybridge and a multi-functional aft deck that can be used for both tender and toys, as well as a recreational area.  As seen on modern explorer yachts these days, a lot of attention has been given to mixing exterior and interior together. The large main deck aft cockpit area can be easily closed off to be part of the salon. On the other hand by opening the aft door area, the salon inside can become part of the open aft deck cockpit area. The MTB Eightzero has been designed for those owners who are looking for something fresh and new and yet timeless; not just a fashion statement like most new super yachts nowadays. Guido de Groot and Breedendam looked for an iconic traditional shape, which is part of the brand philosophy on giving a modern take to traditional looks. The Breedendam MTB Eightzero is to be powered by triple Volvo 900hp engines with IPS1200 forward looking dual propeller pod drives.

Project: Breedendam MTB Three Zero

Just following the announcement of a new flagship and a classic torpedo boat inspired line with the MTB Four Zero, the Dutch Breedendam follows this with its smaller Three Zero.  Designed as the larger sister by Guido de Groot and Flame Yacht, the 32 feet plus Three Zero, is solely designed as a day cruiser, but overnight staying is available in forward cabin having a Vee shaped berth, and a separate shower.  The exterior offers two L-shaped loungers, and classic style helm to port side.  Power for the MTB Three Zero is twin Volvo or Steyr 260hp engine which should give a max speed of 35 knots.  Standard CE certification is so far C, but the 600 liters fuel capacity and dual engines do suggest that a higher rating might be possible for the more sea user customer.
