A fourteen meter Sea Ray sport cruiser ended aground near Barnegat Bay, New Jersey for a story shared on social media on twenty March. TowboatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven shared the story reel on its Facebook page, as they assisted the vessel by ungrounding it, which was then reported leaving on its own power. The cause of the grounding was reported strong winds of over twenty knots. No injuries were reported from the accident.
The boat in this accident is a Sea Ray 48 Sundancer as produced from 2005 to 2009. The 48 Sundancer was a replacement to the first generation 460 Sundancer, and was replaced by the Sea Ray 470 Sundancer.
