A hit-and-run incident between Indian Creek and Biscayne Pointe in Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach at around 20:00 of Wednesday 25 March involving a twelve meters Formula sport cruiser killed a 55 year old father and injured his fourteen year old son. According to Police reports the father and son were trailing slowly on a small rib about 2.5 meters in size, when they were struck by the Formula cruiser. Following the collision the sport cruiser kept on going and was seen traveling northbound in the Meloy Channel. Two landscape workers heard the sons cries for help and called the Police on 911 who came to the scene within minutes. The two struck boaters were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, with the 55 year old reported dead shortly afterwards, while the fourteen year old son reported a broken arm. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the case, releasing also the video of the hit-and-run incident, in order to find the boat.
The boat in this hit-and-run is a Formula 400 Super Sport Crossover as designed by John Adams and produced since the fall of 2018. The Formula Super Sport Crossover line debuted with the 430 Super Sport Crossover in 2018, and today the range features four models from 38 to fifty foot.
