An eight meter Bayliner cabin cruiser fell from its trailer on the Westbound lane of Highway 401, near Hamilton Township, Northumberland County, Ontario on the evening of Sunday 23 June. Because of this boat trailer drop Highway 401 was lane reduced to just one lane from three for almost three hours. The 43 year old driver was charged with unsecure load by the Ontario Provincial Police. Luckily no one was injured in this trailer boat drop.
The Bayliner in this trailer fall is a 2859 Super Classic as produced from 1993 to 95, and then up till 2002 renamed as the 2859 Ciera Express with some minor decal changes. The Super Classic was a unique model in Bayliner's sport and cabin cruiser range, a tribute to boat styling from previous decades.
