Castagnola presents its new web site. Founded in 1974 by Giovanni Castagnola, a shipwright who starts his trade in the repair and building of wooden boats, ships and yachts in 1959. In the beginning Castagnola Yacht is known as Costruzioni Navali Tigullio and has since its founding operated from the large yacht harbor of Lavagna on the East Levante Coast of Liguria. For Giovanni Castagnola it will take twenty years to launch his first 25 meter model, a fully custom wood build super yacht designed by Stefano Righini with speeds up to 33 knots, which is followed three years later by the meter smaller 24 unit. Since 2018 and the passing of Giovanni in 2017, Castagnola is managed by the grand child of the founder Gabriele Maestri, a shipwright himself and a graduate from the San Giorgio Nautical Institute of Camogli. Since launching its first hull Castagnola has build fifteen yachts from the Heritage 9.9 as designed by Nauta and launched in 2020 to the largest 38 WJ as designed by Andrea Borzelli and delivered in 2015. Of interest are also the custom sportfish inspired looking units with Italian flair which debuted with the Fisherman 60 Piedi designed by Formentini in 1999, followed by the 19 designed by Stefano Righini, and Fisherman 20 which was designed in house and delivered in 2010. Castagnola new web site takes you around with the following buttons; Home, About, Charter, Works in Progress, Processo WTS, Exclusive Projects, News, Partner, and Contact. Castagnola is also on social media with bottom right links taking you to its Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin pages.
