A fifteen meter Galeon yacht ended aground as it was coming in near Marco Island in Florida, on Saturday six May 2023. TowBoatUS Naples and Marco Island who shared the story on it's Facebook assisted the yacht, which ended heavy aground, and was taking water from it's engine vents rather then damage to it's bottom. The yacht was removed from the grounding after six hours of pulling, and was was towed to a dry slip, and interestingly it sustained little damage to its propellers and rudders. The yacht ended aground as the channel is not marked correctly.
The yacht in this accident is a Galeon 500 Fly as designed by Tony Castro and produced from 2015 to 2025.
