Spring 2023 has started rather busy for AB Yachts as it launched its new 80 Sportfly model. Presented as a project in 2020, this AB 80 is the third unit to launch and is set to go in the USA. The AB 80 replaced the AB78 in 2020 and is the current entry level model from the jet super sport yacht builder specialist. The AB Yachts 80 will feature a traditional cockpit stern layout with an upper sun-pad, and garage underneath, with an interior of three double cabins and a separate galley located in between the cabins. A crew cabin with two berths is located forward. Like any AB Yachts these details are subjective as the Viareggio yacht builder builds custom and to order, and an owner can change things before signing on the dotted lines. The AB Yachts 80 is powered by triple Man 2000hp with MJP Jet propulsion for a top speed of up to 55 knots. As any AB Yachts the 80 is a superior performance super sport yacht with a hull specially design for jet propulsion, which has been the set up of all AB Yachts produced from fifty up 145 feet and since the yard was founded in 1992.
