Sport Cruiser Ends On Reef in Acciaroli, Italy

A sport cruiser of twelve meters in length ended grounded atop a reef near the waterfront of Acciaroli, Pollica, to the South West of Italy on the late afternoon of Tuesday twelfth August.  The boat was assisted by the Guardia Costiera, who removed the boaters first, and then with the help of two boats removed the sport cruiser from the reef, and towed her to safety at a nearby marina.  An investigation on the accident has been opened.
The sport cruiser in this accident is a Rio 42 Art as produced from 2007 to 2009.  The 42 Art was a replacement to the Rio 40 Art, with the model evolving to a totally new 42 Art model.

Project: Evo Yachts R4 Icone

Evo Yachts celebrates the tenth anniversary of the launch of the first R4 with a model that pays tribute to the shipyard’s history, and at the same time taking a new step forward towards an on-board experience increasingly focused on comfort, without however betraying the brand’s sporty spirit and the desire to offer maximum flexibility and customisation options. This model is the new R4 Icone, which will be given its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, featuring a hull about a metre longer than the original version, an aggressive bow, a new integrated design for the air intakes, and large windows in the hull sides that flood the interiors with natural light.  Designed by Evo Yachts with Valerio Rivellini to offer an incredibly comfortable and convenient lifestyle on board at any time of the year, while maintaining the boat’s dynamic performance, Evo Yachts’ new model has a main deck with an enclosed area covered by an aluminium hard top, built entirely by the Shipyard and a console clearly based on automotive design, featuring a large C-shaped sofa with a backrest that can be arranged to offer either a forward or rear-facing view, and a pilot seat that can be adjusted to various heights for perfect ergonomics. The living area contains a table that can be converted into a double bed and is completed by a kitchen unit, while a pantograph door provides easy access to the outside area. The XT platform at the stern, developed by the Shipyard jointly with Besenzoni, extends the surface area aft and brings it closer to the water, increasing the space and comfort on board and transforming the setting into a seafront terrace that can be configured and furnished as desired, to enjoy in different ways at different times of day.  Below deck, in addition to the fridge and storage area and a hallway, there are two large enclosed double cabins. The interiors are decorated and furnished to transmit a feeling of great warmth, achieved through the use of Alcantara, Alpi wood and various types of materials that share an appealing texture. The yacht is powered by two Volvo 480hp with IPS pod drives.  Like all Evo Yachts models, this boat too, which draws on ten years of experience and is the result of a process of continuous range improvement, can be customised in many different ways – including both the interior and exterior layout, for different types of owner from families to groups of friends, and for different needs, and for people who love spending time in the open air, to those who enjoy the cruising experience in Winter.

Improve-it = Bellini Astor 36

Bellini present the Astor 36 as reinterpreted through Daniel Arsham’s unmistakable “future archaeology” aesthetic. Essential, clean lines merge with a visionary concept, where nautical design embraces the language of contemporary art. The result is a walk around sport cruiser with a distinctly contemporary character, also thanks to a meticulously designed color palette: elegant shades of grey and black are complemented by the iconic “Arsham Green,” a unique aqua green hue symbolizing the artist’s poetic vision, skilfully integrated into the hull line, console, hard top, and onboard furnishings. On the outside, this limited edition stands out for its custom-designed side air intakes featuring the artist’s logo, a hard top signed by Arsham Studio, and smoke-colored faux teak surfaces decorated with Arsham’s monogram. The dry-feel fabric covers the aft sunbed, enriched with a custom plate, while the pilot seats feature “Arsham” embroidery that echoes the project’s overall aesthetic. The helm console is notable for its steering wheel with the artist’s logo and a Simrad chart plotter wide navigation system, with an interface developed in collaboration with Daniel Arsham and Mònade Studio. The interiors are characterized by the use of customized fabrics and color schemes, along with two pieces of furniture; a mirror and washbasin from the Kohler x Daniel Arsham collection. Astor 36 by Daniel Arsham also introduces a cutting-edge technological innovation to the yachting sector: the Digital Product Passport, developed in partnership with Arianee, a French company leading in DPP solutions for durable goods. This digital document, based on blockchain technology and activated via a QR code on a card provided upon delivery, ensures transparency throughout the yacht’s supply chain and lifecycle, tracking all key events and enriching the owner’s experience with access to exclusive after-sales services.

Project: Antonini SUY110

Antonini Navi expands its Sport Utility Yacht range with the SUY 110, the second yacht in the series designed by Fulvio De Simoni. In 34 metres, the La Spezia-based Shipyard and the renowned naval architect offer a compact take on the legacy of the SUY135, providing functionality, versatility and an incredible choice of on-board entertainment. Spanning four decks, the SUY110 is designed to provide maximum access to all forms of on-board activity, featuring a fifty-square-metre stern hangar that can house a 4.5-metre tender, a 4.2-metre sailing boat (or a second tender) and two 3-metre jet skis, as well as canoes, SUP boards and other water toys, without sacrificing interior living space. Another distinctive feature is the innovative Raised Deck, which can be used as a 54-square-metre beach club and overlooks the garage, offering additional space for equipment or outdoor socialising. This area communicates directly with the Main Deck, creating a 27-square-metre lounge veranda with a dining and relaxation zone: one big space designed to ensure comfort, privacy and harmonious integration with the marine environment. The ease of connection between the various decks, another distinctive feature of the yacht, is provided by seven ramps up and four down that ensure functional integration and continuity between the levels. The refined and functional interior accommodates up to ten guests in five cabins, including a master suite with private studio. The lower deck offers two VIP and two double cabins, all with en-suite bathroom. The fully appointed crew area is designed for six people. The SUY110 will have a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, achieving the ideal balance between performance, strength and sustainability. The standard configuration of two CAT's 700hp, give the SUY110 a top speed up to fourteen knots and a cruising speed of twelve knots, as well as giving it the range to make Atlantic crossings at the speed of ten knots. An optional diesel-electric system will reduce fuel consumption by 20% compared to similar yachts, underscoring the shipyard’s commitment to increasingly green solutions. Located in La Spezia near the gulf of Lerici, Antonini Navi is currently completing its first two super yachts; the EVO 31 and Seamore 34, with the larger yacht set to be launched later this year.
