A Sea Ray sport cruiser first and then a Viking sportfish cruiser ended aground near Barnegat Bay and Barnegat Inlet in New Jersey on the afternoon of Friday 22 March 2024. TowBoatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the two boats by removing them from the grounding, and taking them in deep water. The case of the grounding was a blow out tide, along with navigational errors. The damage to the boats if any, was not reported.
The boats in this accident are a third generation Sea Ray 300 Sundancer as produced from 2002 to 2007, and a first generation Viking 48 Convertible as produced from 2002 to 2009.
