During the fall of 2023, and just making it in time for the Genoa boat show in September, Spanish yacht builder Astondoa debuted its new AX8 model. An explorer inspired looking super yacht with a lot of spaces both inside and outside as designed by Christian Gatto, the AX8 is the precursor of a new line by Astondoa prioritizing spaciousness and living spaces to the maximum of its size and length, with exteriors that open to the sea and interiors with large ceiling to floor windows, which brings inside outside. The Astondoa is also offered in two options for all its areas, from a separate or open with the saloon helm station in the enclosed-flybridge deck, to galley on the main or lower deck, and three or four double cabins. The Astondoa AX8 also features an option for the fore-deck lounge available with a C-shaped dinette and bench forward or opposite facing settees. Powered by twin Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives propulsion the Astondoa AX8 has a top speed of 23 knots and cruises at fifteen knots.
