Prestige Yacht Catches Fire at Ruskin Tampa

An unattended sixteen meter Prestige flybridge motor yacht titled m/y Flood Cuts under Warwick registry went ablaze while berthed in Little Harbor Marina, Ruskin, Tampa on 09:12 hours morning of Thursday 26 January 2023.  Hillsborough Fire County responded to the fire from land first with Engine Seventeen, and later on from the sea with Fire Boat 29, to de-water the vessel in order to avoid her from sinking. No one was injured in the fire, with the damages being limited to the yacht.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
M/y Flood Cuts is a Prestige 550 Flybridge as designed by Garroni, and produced from 2012 to 15.  The 550 Flybridge and S is one of Prestige most successful models above fifty feet, with the model selling 170 units in a production run of just three years, and then evolving into the 560 in 2016.
