New Launch: Admiral 74.85 m

In 2022 Admiral launched the 74 meter super yacht its largest build to date, which overcomes by just one meter the 2018 launched Planet Nine. Title m/y Kensho this fully custom Admiral 74 meter came into life from an owners expression who sketched twelve lines of design in Winter 2016 and then directly oversaw the project in every detail, redefining the boundaries of space, integrating ideas of residential and marine design, creating a union of form and function. The owner’s intuition has also been able to unite a strong team made up of naval architects and designers; Azure from the Netherlands and German firm Archineers.Berlin for the exterior, Jouin Manku for interior, and the technical part followed by Technical Marine UK and Trappmann Consulting. The idea on the largest Admiral build was to forget about the traditional layouts, with state-of-the-art features such as a single crew corridor and gangways only on the upper deck and optimizing the volume for luxury guest areas. Full height glass and lowered bulwarks where used wherever possible while all outside decks with their own specific functionalities make this fully custom 74 meter Admiral complete and efficient, and comfortable. Azure and Archineers.Berlin redefined outside looks, fusing aesthetics and technical feasibility, designing an exciting exterior schema that pushes the edges of elegance and soft lines embracing the purest forms of functionality. No exterior item has been compromised to make room for the technical outfitting of the yacht creating an unparalleled organic shape that comes from an unexplored underwater world. The exterior of this Admiral 74 meter was followed in the sixteen guest cabin interior with the experience and the youthful enthusiasm of fresh eyed newcomers, posing fundamental questions that challenge naval tradition, synthesising superior solutions from residential and naval architecture to trace new lines for quality living at sea. Generous high ceilings, panoramic views, intelligent and modular configurations that adapt to enhance space, intimacy and comfort. The lighting, curated by Voyons Voir Lighting Design, recreates a soft environment recalling the lighthouse that gave hope to the navigators of the past at sea. Noble materials are artfully transformed into rounded and organic forms. Teak, marble, onyx, silk, wool, bronze and glass a diverse material palette deployed in a deeply personal and poetic expression of design. From her exterior hardscape to her soft touch interior, the narrative is coherent, seamless and contemporary; each element orchestrated by the agency.
