Two boaters escaped unscathed as a sixteen meter flybridge yacht was wrecked by fire at Ed Huck Marine marina in Rockport, Ontario for a blaze reported to have started at around 14:00 of first July, 2019. The owner and his wife tried to control the fire with no success, as Leeds and Thousand Islands Fire department tended to the blaze, which also needed a second bigger barge to be controlled, with the yacht then towed outside of the marina as it went ablaze. The yacht was ultimately wrecked with a nearby Sea Ray sport yacht also suffering some fire damage to its port side. The cause of the fire is not report, with this stated to have started on the main deck. No injuries are reported from the blaze, as the owner and his wife escaped as this started.
The yacht in this fire is a Carver 530 Voyager as produced from 1999 to 2005. The other damaged yacht is a Sea Ray 55 Sundancer as produced from 2008 to 2009.
