Two man got out unhurt as a ten meter Carver motor cruiser went ablaze as it was on anchor near the Dredge Harbor Marina, off Delren, on the Delaware River, just after 18:00 hours of Monday fifteen July. The two men were first assisted by a nearby boater, as Delran Fire Department responded to the fire call first with a helicopter and then from the water. The U.S. Coast Guard Station Philadelphia, the New Jersey State Police marine unit, the Philadelphia Fire Department marine unit, and the marine units from Delran, Palmyra and Burlington City fire departments all responded to the blaze.
