Traditional Cruiser Runs Aground at Oyster Creek, New Jersey

A twelve meters in length traditional cruiser ran aground at Oyster Creek, New Jersey on the afternoon of Monday first July 2019.  TowBoatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven who shared the story on its Facebook page, assisted the boaters, and following removal from the reef took the boat for repairs.  The cause of the incident is reported to be an error of navigation, with some Facebook comments saying the markers showing Oyster Creek are not present in this moment.  Some of the boaters were reported injured in the collision, with the type of injuries and number of boaters injured not reported.

The boat in this accident is a Sabre 42 Salon Express as produced from 2011 to 2020.  The 42 Saloon Express was a replacement to the 42 Express, and was replaced by the Sabre 43 Salon Express.
