New Launch: Van der Valk 35.00 M Hull no WV0147

Van der Valk Shipyard has launched the 35-metre hull number WV0147 titled as motor yacht Jangada, with sea trials scheduled to commence shortly. The super yacht represents the third collaboration between the yard and the same owner, following a predecessor that received a World Superyacht Award nomination in 2020. Designed by Nick Top and Guido de Groot, Jongert WB0147 features an additional deck compared to her predecessors while maintaining the elegant raised pilothouse profile that characterised the earlier builds. The exterior design employs graphic lines to integrate the increased volume into a cohesive aesthetic. The interior showcases whitewashed wood details combined with architectural functionality. The layout has been specifically configured to accommodate the owner's family lifestyle, with a full-beam master suite positioned on the main deck foredeck. Lower deck cabins have been tailored for the owner's children and grandchildren, while a dedicated gym provides alternative exercise options. Large glass surfaces in the main saloon, paired with high ceilings, create an open atmosphere and extensive sightlines. The wheelhouse lounge offers unobstructed views when at anchor, with dashboard screens designed to fold away discreetly. A notable engineering element is the four and a half metre jet-stream pool on the flybridge deck, with a capacity of 7,200 litres. The installation required a dedicated warm-water tank below the tender garage. The yacht's design emphasises separation between crew and guest areas, with comprehensive insulation planned to minimise noise transmission throughout the vessel.

Project: Numarine 27XP

Numarine, the renowned builder of efficient explorer yachts presents the 27XP project. An evolution on her successful predecessor, the Numarine 26XP, of which thirty hulls are currently cruising oceans worldwide, the 27XP offers greater length, expanded volume and a creatively reimagined, flexible design. With an overall length of 27 metres, the elegantly designed explorer super yacht is instantly recognisable as a natural evolution of the XP series. Its sharp and commanding exterior lines are courtesy of Numarine’s collaborative designer, Can Yalman, who is also responsible for the vessel’s interiors. The 27XP’s robust naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini. Accommodation will be for eight or ten guests, plus two crew cabins for a four-person crew, the 27XP provides plenty of flexibility where layout is concerned. For owners seeking a five-cabin configuration, the 27XP provides a main deck VIP cabin, with three full VIP suites in total, alongside a dramatically expanded full-beam master suite below complete with a spacious bathroom and walk-in closet, and a generous additional guest cabin. All cabins benefit from oversized sea-view windows, immersing guests in natural light and establishing a clear connection with the ocean surroundings. When the four cabin option is chosen, the wheelhouse is placed on the main deck, in contrast with the five cabin option, which places its wheelhouse on an enclosed flybridge. The 27XP provides numerous upgrades compared to her predecessor, including an expanded galley and dining offering. In particular, the open kitchen concept creates a contemporary, social atmosphere, delivering a true ‘big yacht’ feel, notwithstanding the size of this pocket explorer. Designed to provide exceptional outdoor living, other standout areas on board include her raised bow lounge, where lounge seating has been elevated to provide clearer views of the horizon and surrounding nature, as well as her supersized flybridge. Even longer and wider than the one found on board the 26XP, the flybridge provides a phenomenal space for entertaining, relaxation and open-air enjoyment. Unsurprisingly for a builder renowned for the exploration capabilities of its yachts, the 27XP leaves nothing to be desired where performance is concerned. With power provided by twin MAN 560 engines, the 27XP has a top speed of 13.5 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at eight knots. As an added bonus, she also offers the options of a completely enclosed, glass flydeck helm area, ensuring navigation and leisure in absolute comfort for voyages in cooler or more temperate climates.

New Launch: Oceanco 111m Hull Y722

Oceanco has on the tenth August launched the 111 meters hull Y722 as it was put in the water to start her sea trials.  Titled Leviathan this 111m diesel-electric super yacht redefines how to live and operate at sea, and was designed not around tradition but around purpose, putting people at the heart of every decision. Built for an experienced owner with a deep commitment to team building and crew wellbeing, Oceanco Y722 represents a shift in how yachts are imagined, built, and run. From day one, crew were invited into the process not just as operators, but lending their operational insights to shape a yacht that works better for those who run it. Materials and systems were chosen not to reduce effort, but to redirect effort toward higher-value work, not repetitive basic maintenance. Durable, ease of care materials like honed stone and natural wool carpets reduce upkeep, allowing crew to focus on the things that truly matter, whether it is creating richer guest experiences, supporting onboard scientific work, or managing complex operations in real time. Traditional high-maintenance elements like polished handrails with wooden capping's, teak decks and vast painted superstructure sections were intentionally replaced with smart alternatives such as composite capping rails / decks and full height glass superstructure bulkheads, all without compromising but enhancing aesthetics. Y722 design reflects a human-centric approach to life at sea. With naval architecture by Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco, exterior design by Oceanco, and interiors by Mark Berryman Design, every element has been developed to enhance functionality and comfort for both crew and guests. The owner played an active role throughout the process, alongside YTMC the owner’s technical representatives, and Y.CO, ensuring the yacht remains aligned with its guiding philosophy. Crew and co-makers alike contributed their expertise, reflected in every practical detail and solution. As a tribute to the spirit of collaboration at the heart of this project, a glass panel engraved with the names of over 2,000 individuals involved in the build now stands in Y722 main staircase, a permanent reminder that this yacht was built by people, for people.

Projects: Benetti B.Now 52M, Benetti B.Loft 58M

Benetti's steel legacy announces the two new projects for the B.Now 52M and the B.Loft 58M. Pictured above is the B.Now 52M project, with exteriors by RWD and interiors designed by Valentina Zannier. The B.Now 52M is a replacement and reinterpretation of the B.Now 50M, one of the most successful models in the family, which has sold 21 units in just a few years, an absolute record in this size category. The revolution stems from the desire to reimagine the spaces, not only by increasing the size of the hull, but also through innovative interior design that breaks with tradition to promote a harmonious flow between the various areas. The Oasis Deck® is 30% larger than the previous version, extending over a surface area of 130 square metres and extending a full 15 metres of space from the stern to the lounge entrance. The larger and completely redesigned pool incorporates a retractable cover system that transforms the area into a spacious platform on the water with a magical atmosphere. While the exterior has been redesigned to offer generous spaces, the real heart of the project can be found on the Main Deck: entering through the lounge door, a continuous 48-metre pathway extends right up to the panoramic bow terrace, offering uninterrupted views. Here, the layout amplifies the sense of space by eliminating the external starboard side corridor, which is now integrated within the interiors in a new solution featuring huge, glazed surfaces. The larger internal staircase, positioned in the centre of the new open space, becomes a design feature, while the dining room, now located at the bow, is flooded by light entering through floor-to-ceiling windows. On the Upper Deck, the elimination of the external staircase up to the terrace creates a new area entirely reserved for the owner; 110 square metres split between the master cabin and the private terrace.
The Benetti B.Loft 58M project is like its bigger seven meter B.Loft 65M sister designed by Giorgio Cassetta, retaining the distinctive features and contemporary architectural language inspired by large villas and modern lofts.  The experience on board starts with the Cabana, a shaded area that can be open or closed, right on the water's edge, offering a new and original interpretation of the beach club. The side wings swing out to create a 120-square-metre bathing platform stretching over fifteen metres wide. An indoor and outdoor space on the water, where the light reflecting from the pool on the terrace above envelops this convivial and relaxing setting.  The loft experience is characterised by the panoramic Sky Lounge on the Upper Deck, which extends across over seventy square metres and has a remarkable ceiling height of 3.5 metres. The large glass side walls offer an unobstructed view of the horizon, while a wide sliding door opens onto an outdoor area with sea views.  Both the sleek, elegant exterior styling and interiors featuring generous proportions and a wealth of functions are by Cassetta Yacht Designers.
