Project: Benetti B.Yond Limited Edition 40 m

Celebrating 150 yeas, for 2023 Benetti is presenting a long list of projects, including of which is the B.Yond Limited Edition, a forty meter four deck explorer super yacht available to purchase for one year, starting the past July and will end on the same month in 2024.  The B.Yond Limited Edition, is based on the B.Yond 37M which debuted in 2022, with a hull extended by three meters in length, creating additional exterior spaces and volumes, especially in the upper deck.  Thanks to the extended hull the B.Yond Limited Edition will feature a stern which gets more generous dimensions and will include a sunbathing spot and a scenic infinity pool with a glass bottom.  The B.Yond Limited Edition will also be available in an exclusive elegant metallic colour called Vulcan Grey, embellished with a distinctive black shield, with a refined golden waterline gracing the yacht from stern to bow, with a gilded backlit Benetti logo adorning the sides of the Upper Deck.  The B.Yond Limited Edition just as the three meters smaller sister will offer five double guests cabins on the main deck, including an owners stateroom located forward.  The lower deck will feature five crew cabins for eight to ten crew including a large captains cabin located at midships.  In between the crew quarters is the large galley serving all the yacht and a C-shaped for the crew.  Also in the lower deck is a gym room.  Fair to advice the B.Yond Limited Edition’s layout, is supported by a host of pre-engineered solutions that are one of this series’ strengths, makes it possible to redefine the existing spaces and adapt them as alternative hospitality areas to suit the owner and guests’ specific needs.  The B.Yond Limited Edition also offers as an option the E-Mode Hybrid propulsion system, developed in partnership with Siemens Energy, which optimizes on-board energy consumption, making it the most sustainable in its segment. This innovative system offers four different operating modes, including Full Electric. This zero-emission cruising option allows the B.Yond Limited Edition to enter marine protected areas typically off-limits to motor yachts with diesel engines, offering a unique opportunity to explore ecologically sensitive areas while respecting the environment. Based on an average annual use of 1,000 hours, 400 underway and the rest at anchor fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24%, and NOx by a maximum of 85%.  The B.Yond Limited Edition has a range of 8,200 miles at nine knots in Eco Transfer mode, almost double the range of similarly sized explorer super yacht with the two generators off and only one internal combustion propulsion engine in operation.  As the smaller 37 meter the forty meter B.Yond Limited Edition is designed by Stefano Righini, what is the designers last project before leaving for the better World in 2021, with naval architecture for the full displacement hull by Pierluigi Ausonio.

Project: Benetti Class 44m

Benetti present the project for the new Class 44m, a new fibreglass flagship in its semi-production Class range of super yachts which today starts at 37 meters, but in the past has seen smaller sizes of 28 meters. The Class 44m is also a replacement to the Diamond 145 produced from 2020 to 2023 in eight units. Benetti says the new Class 44m is a transparent yacht with the elimination of all barriers between indoors and outdoors and every detail designed to have the least possible impact. The interior design and exterior styling are by Giorgio Maria Cassetta, who presented a yacht with clean, pared-down lines. The new Benetti Class 44M is targeted at expert owners who want to make the most of the precious asset that is free time. The on-board living experience on the new Class 44M is about the innovative use of materials and finishing's conveying a sensation of informality and naturalness that changes the way spaces are perceived. The shipyard has achieved this result through the extensive use of sustainable materials such as FSC-certified wood, sourced from forests managed according to the strictest environmental standards and also thanks to the endless transparent surfaces that let light flood into all the decks. The Benetti Class 44M is designed for long, safe cruises around the world, lasting weeks or months, thanks to the perfection of the layouts and flow paths, as well as to generous stowage capacity and meticulous functional research into every detail. An absolutely unique yacht, with uncluttered lines that more than timeless are beyond time. Class 44M has four decks that can be customised to match owners’ tastes, and the star of the show, as always, is natural light. The forward section of the Main Deck is home to the full-beam master stateroom, which includes an office space, a generous wardrobe and a bathroom. Still on the main deck, the galley area and head are amidships, while the spectacular, spacious lounge offers direct views of the water thanks to the low-profile bulwarks. In addition to the helm station and captain’s cabin, the Upper Deck offers the owner and guests a large interior living space that extends outdoors towards the stern and can accommodate a dining table for ten. The Sun Deck provides over 102 square metres of space for dining, sunbathing or simply sipping a drink at the bar and can, of course, be configured according to the owner’s preferences. The Lower Deck contains four double guest cabins and, separated from them, the crew quarters. Specially studied crew flow paths run the entire length of all four decks. The water’s edge beach club is an independent and versatile space with a striking design, while the generously sized garage on the port side ensures problem-free launch and recovery of the tender and water toys. There was a sharp focus during the design process on the highest standards of soundproofing and in this respect Class 44M ranks at the top of the category. In order to minimise vibrations and maximise soundproofing, floating floors and bulkheads are used throughout, along with flexible transmission couplings based on state-of-the-art technology. The air-conditioning and purification system ensures high-efficiency air circulation with six changes per hour. In the engine room, the Benetti Class 44M is equipped with two MAN units rated 1400hp delivering a top speed of fifteen knots and a range of 4,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of eleven.

New Launch: Benetti 67m FB278

Benetti presents m/y Calex a 67-metre hull number FB278, tailor-build and customized in every detail for a Californian owner. Launched in the end of 2022 Benetti FB278 has indoor and outdoor spaces that ensure absolute privacy and comfort and cater to the owner’s passion for exercise and well-being. Cassetta developed the streamlined, well-proportioned exterior contours, while the interiors designed by the Benetti Style Department feature alternating light and dark colour shades, with the extensive use of maple and American walnut, ivory-coloured leathers, and white statuary and crema marfil marble. The fabrics used for the decorative cushions are by Loro Piana Interiors. The yacht extends across five enclosed decks, plus a Sundeck, and stands out for her perfectly balanced volumes. The interiors were fitted out using the ‘box in box’ method and meet the highest construction standards, testifying yet again to the shipyard’s exceptional craftsmanship, with new technology used to minimise noise transmission and ensure silent navigation at a speed of twelve knots. The stand-out feature of the 67-metre FB278 is the Upper Deck, which has a surface area of 160 square metres devoted entirely to the owner’s personal spaces. A huge Master Cabin, containing a spacious suite, an elegant double bathroom, a private office and a walk-in wardrobe, extends from midships onto the foredeck outside and offers a 180-degree view, with two curved automatic sliding doors opening out onto an exclusive lounge area furnished with chaises lounges, armchairs, a table and an original gas fireplace. While wide open, it is a very private space, much of which cannot be seen from the upper decks as a result of the carefully planned volumes and depths. The foredeck can also be used as a touch and go helicopter pad, giving the owner the greatest possible freedom when coming on board. On the same deck, an open area in the stern, with a dining table and a relaxation area furnished with armchairs and other seating, is complemented by an interior lounge with a TV cabinet. The stern area on the Main Deck hosts guests in a spacious open-air lounge, while inside we find the main lounge, with a table seating 12, sofas and armchairs, followed by the galley. The owner also wanted two large VIP cabins on this deck, one on each side of the yacht, with two garages of different sizes in the bow for the main tender and various water toys. The four guest cabins, two doubles and two with twin convertible beds, are located to midships on the Lower Deck and completely separated from the accommodation in the bow for the crew of sixteen, which at the owner’s request is decorated with materials and furnishings similar to those used in the guest area. Separate guest and crew flows and the use of dumb waiters ensure maximum privacy and excellent service on board, connecting these areas with the galley on the Main Deck and the upper decks. On the Lower Deck amidships, is the large engine room, Benetti’s first on a full custom yacht this size to fully comply with TIER III regulations because it is fitted with a scrubbing system for the exhaust gases from both the propulsion and generating systems. In the bow, the spacious swim platform and the beach club are connected to the Main Deck by two fixed stairways. A gullwing door opens onto the swim platform and lets light flood into the interiors of the beach club, where a long swing-down hatch on the starboard side provides easier access to the water and even more light. The Bridge Deck, which has an outdoor space containing a lounge area furnished with bar, sofas, TV cabinet and barbecue and is served by a pantry, revolves around the captain and the wheelhouse. The large captain’s cabin is separated from the officer and crew quarters to be close to the ship office and the futuristic helm station, which features a touchscreen console designed by Telemar. On the Sun Deck, the only deck not served by the lift, a central area with gym equipment and a Jacuzzi pool ensure the utmost in comfort and well-being.

Project: Benetti B.Now 72M

Benetti announces the sale of the the first B.Now 72m, which is to be build with Oasis Deck stern layout. The new super yacht confirms the close collaboration between Benetti and British design studio RWD, which has designed a super yacht with generous spaces reserved for the owner’s exclusive use. With a length of 72 metres and a beam of over twelve metres, the new yacht is now the flagship of the B.Now series of four models from fifty to 72 meters all designed in partnership with RWD to offer owners a modern lifestyle experience with spacious interior and exterior settings characterised by their multi-functionality.  These are the features that convinced the owner to choose his super yacht, which embodies all Benetti's expertise and technical know-how. Designed with the idea of creating a unique super yacht that meets the owner’s own personal needs, B.Now 72M Oasis Deck stands out for the steel hull and an aluminium superstructure with a flowing layout, extended windows that accent the sleek lines, and a general opening up of the spaces to create an appealing and convivial atmosphere. The exterior styling by RWD has successfully translated the shipyard’s desire to build a yacht animated by a contemporary spirit, without compromising on the privacy and comfort of the owner and their guests.  The owner, who will have ample opportunity to customise the interiors, has chosen the B.Now 72M with the Oasis Deck iconic layout. At his disposal an entire Owner’s Deck that dominate the entire yacht, offering the utmost in privacy and a space in which to relax without ever losing visual contact with the sea. New Model: Benetti Oasis 34M

Benetti present the new small Oasis 34M, its current entry level superyacht model, which follows the footsteps of her big sister Oasis 40M in a six meter smaller size, and was the first in the series and a resounding global success. The Oasis series encapsulates all the assets that have helped write the history of the Benetti brand: a strong tradition kept up to date, with investment in research and development, new style codes, quality and reliability. This highly innovative concept satisfies all the needs of contemporary owners who today more than ever choose to return to a life lived with emotion and engagement in close contact with the water. Oasis 34M is the right answer for active, curious owners who want a dynamic, less formal lifestyle on board and are always on the lookout for an exciting adventure. The exterior styling is like the bigger sister by British design studio RWD, a familiar name in international yacht design circles, and many recent semi-custom Benetti's including the B.Now series, while the interior design is again by prominent New York-based firm Bonetti Kozerski that has introduced influences on board derived from the architecture of sophisticated residential projects, featuring style solutions made famous by fine buildings as the Pace Gallery in Manhattan and elegant private homes, and high-profile collaborations with starchitects of the calibre of Peter Marino. Bonetti-Kozerski have harmonised the spaces on board Oasis 34M, achieving a balance between interiors and exteriors and bringing the warmth and naturalness of outdoor teak indoors to create a calm and relaxing setting dominated by bleached Canaletto walnut. Here too, it is the intersection of design excellence and the avant-garde that has generated the new model in the series, expressing a luxury as understated and unostentatious as it is richly detailed. Made of fibreglass, the Oasis 34M has three decks plus a generous sun deck. The silhouette features a vertical bow, from which sleek, modern and elegant lines descend in a gentle gradient to water level and form a big pieds dans l’eau swim platform. For this sleek design, with its water-hugging stern, RWD has also drawn on stylistic hallmarks borrowed from car design, such as the silver-coloured trim that helps accentuate the lines. The cornerstone on which the appeal of Oasis 34M is built is once again the spectacular Oasis Deck®, which hosts an extraordinary beach club, and the key driver behind the success of the yacht’s 40-meter big sister. Oasis 34M boasts all the plus points of the Oasis Deck® solution, which are key to the success of Benetti’s range of the same name: the two extending wings increase the size of the deck, establishing closer contact with the water at the same time as providing protection from the waves, while the infinity pool incorporated in a prominent position on the deck leaves you breathless with its incredible view of the water. Owners and guests therefore have an uninterrupted 270-degree view towards the Oasis Deck®, including from the lounge on the main deck. The combination of sun and shade provides guests with somewhere to relax at any time of day. The social design defining the spaces from the main lounge to the water creates a unique oasis of conviviality that is an invitation to dive into an immersive experience with nature. Close connection with the sea and nature is another focal point for the project, a feature achieved and masterfully showcased by the design team on every deck and in all outdoor areas. Every outdoor space is designed and developed to create a convivial atmosphere and offer exclusive panoramic views. The layout is open and flowing, featuring an elegant and understated style expressed by the selection of materials chosen to highlight visual continuity; the custom-designed furnishings take their inspiration from ocean waves and are joined by selected iconic pieces from top Italian design brands. The design reveals the architects’ meticulous attention to detail, to how the materials are used and their positioning. The parquet on the main and upper decks is perfectly coordinated with the teak used outdoors, while the ivory-coloured leather decorating the ceilings is the perfect foil for the bleached walnut panels with a ribbed design on the vertical surfaces. Together they form a palette of understated colours that are light and bright but create a warm and relaxing atmosphere in every setting. This theme is also a powerful influence on the master suite, designed as an intimate cocoon-like space. With excellent hull efficiency enhanced by the vertical bow, Oasis 34M has a top speed of 16 knots and, at an average cruising speed of 10 knots, a range of 2,700 nautical miles, or more than enough to complete a transatlantic crossing. The rationale is to provide customers with a highly reliable product that is designed to meet the real needs of life on board and maintains its beauty with passing time. For this reason, Benetti has already sold thirteen Oasis 34m with build slots running into 2026.

New Model: Benetti B.Yond 37m

In an emotional and awaited ceremony held on July 4 at the Livorno shipyard, Benetti launched the brand’s new four-deck B.Yond 37m.  Worth to add this ceremony was emotional in many ways first of all because this was the last project of Stefano Righini before he left to the better World on October 2021, and second because of  the innovation the B.Yond 37m represents.  Unlike Benetti of recent years in this size B.Yond 37m is build of steel, with an alumimium super structure. Worth to note that metal represented a huge step in the success of the Benetti onwards of the 1950s, with most of the custom Italian yards of the time still building of wood. The B.Yond 37m is innovative for its E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy which makes it possible to optimize on-board energy consumption according to specific usage profiles, which translates into unprecedented CO2 and NOx emissions reductions for a yacht in this category. The B.Yond 37M is the world’s greenest boat in its class, combining SCR catalytic filters, a gas control technology that uses a urea-based liquid solution already adopted in the automotive industry for Euro 6D diesel engines, with the innovative E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy, which is based on a crew-friendly integrated add-on architecture built on top of a traditional system. The result is extremely simple management, with switching possible from mechanical to electric propulsion and vice versa without the intervention of specialized personnel on board. This innovative solution offers the freedom of four different operating modes, including the standout Full Electric mode for zero emission navigation, an exclusive plus that allows B.Yond 37M to enter protected marine areas or those normally off-limits to motor yachts. The lithium battery pack also makes it possible to stay at anchor in Hotel Mode with zero emissions, keeping the generators switched off and running the main on-board utilities from the batteries. This translates into time spent at anchor in harmony with nature, immersed in vibration-free silence. With the new generation of high energy density batteries, the 300 kW/h pack will provide up to 8 hours of autonomy at anchor during the day and 12 hours at night. The batteries recharge in just three hours. Estimating an average annual use of 1,000 hours, of which 400 under way and the rest at anchor, fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24% and NOx by a maximum of 85%. All this plus the added value of an incredible range almost double that of traditional explorer super yacht of the same size, or up to 8,200 nautical miles at 9 knots in Eco Transfer mode, with the two diesel-generators switched off and only one propulsion engine running, which reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 16% and NOx emissions by up to 80% compared with traditional propulsion systems. The B.Yond 37m comes from a revolutionary concept devised by Stefano Righini, who brings all his creative flair into play, features the inclusion of a fourth deck, which makes it possible to raise all the most noble areas of the yacht and gives them an incredible panoramic view. The service area on the Lower Deck includes a walk-in wine cellar and a cold room, unusual features on a boat this size. The Main Deck provides the night area for guests, offering four suites accessed from a panoramic lounge featuring generous windows, which Benetti calls the Playroom. Stepping up onto the Upper Deck, the living area offers a completely unobstructed 360-degree view. Moving up still further, the Bridge Deck is set aside for the owner, while the Sun Deck provides a dining area with a pantry and an outdoor table sheltered by a hard top. Two stairways, one for guests and one for crew, provide completely separate flows, ensuring total privacy for both owner and guests. The layout is extremely flexible: the Main Deck, in addition to four guest suites that are particularly spacious for a 37-meter yacht, can optionally contain either the master cabin or the Playroom with a panoramic view. The Bridge Deck can accommodate, on request, either the master cabin or a panoramic veranda. On the Lower Deck, the gym can be replaced by a sixth guest cabin. Another important new feature is the double accommodation solution for the captain, with a full-size cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse and another very spacious one adjoining the crew quarters. If the captain chooses to use the cabin closest to the wheelhouse, the other one could become a seventh guest cabin. The spacious garage contains a 6.5-meter tender for the owner, a 4.2-meter rescue boat and two jet skis, for the first time in a protected and out of sight area. The white steel hull and aluminum superstructure express the personality and elegance of B.Yond 37M, complemented by stainless steel railings also painted white and finished with teak handrails, in an unusual but highly effective stylistic feature. The hull was designed by Pierluigi Ausonio’s firm P.L.A.N.A. Open and spacious, the interior design by Benetti architect Mauro Izzo offers even more potential for customization, allowing the owner to express their own taste and personality on a yacht to live on as if it were a second home. This spirit has been captured to perfection by leading contemporary design brand Giorgetti, chosen by Benetti to provide the furnishings for the first B.Yond 37M, with solutions that accommodate all the owner’s requests in an embodiment of beauty and functionality expressed through haut de gamme quality. The fine materials chosen feature a palette of natural colors, enhanced by touches of blue provided by the fabrics and accessories, standing out against the optical white walls and echoing the color of the sea. Giorgetti’s refined and sophisticated language runs through all the yacht’s decks, telling the story of the brand’s prowess in designing spaces that form part of an overarching vision.  The Benetti B.Yond 37m was already a success with eight units sold and under construction before hull one even touched the water in July.

New Launch: Benetti 48m FB601

Benetti launched from Livorno MY “Hawa” construction number FB601, a 48-meter full custom super yacht designed in collaboration with the famous English studio RWD, who penned the exterior and interior design. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, FB601 stands out for her original layout, the incredible brightness of the rooms and the refined interiors, furnished with matte painted eucalyptus woods and refined dark walnut details. Characterized by elegant external lines, FB601 stands out for the elegant “desert sand” hull color, chosen by the experienced Benetti loyal owner, and the original layout which prioritizes continuous contact with the environment. The use of refined furnishing elements and materials is striking, in particular the matte painted eucalyptus with dark walnut details and inlays of various leathers and marbles. The Main Deck enjoys incredible brightness, thanks to a lounge with five openings to the outside that allow continuous views of the sea. On the same deck, toward the bow, instead of the traditional galley, the owner asked to have a pantry and a large VIP cabin with shower with sauna that precedes the large master cabin, full beam and with drop down side windows. Here the space was designed with a private study for the owner, bed, two wardrobes on the port side and a lounge area with bathroom to the starboard. The Lower Deck houses three double cabins for guests, as well as the galley, equipped with a dumbwaiter that allows the crew to serve all decks, including the Sun Deck. The beach area has two side openings that deploy into platforms, overlooking the sea and adding to the considerable beach area. The interiors of the beach club are designed to maximize the enjoyment of relaxing moments, featuring a comfortable L-shaped sofa, a bathroom with shower and sauna, and an area dedicated to equipment for fishing and diving, two great passions of the owner. The aft part of the Upper Deck is designed for convivial moments in the open air, with areas for relaxation, conversation and sunbathing. Inside the bright sky lounge with two large opening side windows, there is a pantry, a complete gym, also with opening side windows, and the wheelhouse with full-height windows covering 180°. For the classic wheelhouse, the owner preferred a futuristic “light bridge console” developed by Benetti. The advanced level of software integration, derived from military technology, and the choice to have ceiling screens and an ergonomic Besenzoni commander’s chair, made it possible to have all the controls in two small “peninsulas”, oriented like extended armrests of the “Captain Chair”. Racks and navigational devices are housed within two compartments located by the entrance to the area. The Sun Deck is designed to make the most of every time of day. The stern and bow spaces are separated by a windproof structure with sliding doors that increases the feeling of privacy for the owner and guests. The stern area features a dining table for 12 people. The large sofa that frames a cinema area is accessible from the external staircase, while the bow area is equipped with bar counter, table for four and forward-facing sundeck sofa. The space can be accessed by the crew from a separate staircase. The hull, designed by the P.L.A.N.A. studio in collaboration with the Azimut Benetti Research and Development department, ensures high performance and excellent seaworthiness for safe and comfortable navigation. The engine room houses a pair of MTUs of 1,700hp each, which guarantee the yacht a maximum speed of fifteen knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at the ten knot cruising speed.

New Launch: Benetti 65.40 meter FB270

Benetti is proud to announce the delivery of FB270 titled M/Y “Triumph”, a 65.40 meters full custom yacht with sleek and clean lines spanning her six decks. The steel displacement hull and the superstructure, made with aluminum, are painted in a classic white. The external lines were penned by Giorgio M. Cassetta, complementing the naval architecture by Benetti. Green and Mingarelli Design contributed to the interiors, adding to the work done in-house by Benetti. The yacht, which accommodates twelve people in six double cabins, offers a host of luxurious amenities, including a touch and go helipad located on the bow, sauna, fully equipped gym, massage room, jacuzzi and seventy square meters of beach club with a drop-down platform. For FB270 Giorgio M. Cassetta notably used large curved windows to balance the yacht’s impressive presence. Green and Mingarelli arranged the elegant interiors and many furnishing details, closely following the direction of the Benetti Interior Style Department. All the artwork onboard is created by renowned British photographer David Yarrow. The Sun Deck sits atop the yacht on the sixth deck, not always present on yachts of this size. New Model: Benetti Oasis 40M

Beanetti presents the Oasis 40M, a revolutionary forty metre 385 Gross Ton super yacht build of fibreglass. Addressing a modern clientele with a dynamic and casual lifestyle, the Oasis 40M has the look of an adventurous yacht but at the same time it shows an unexpectedly glamorous side that reveals the idea of well-being and total independence from the rest of the world. RWD’s UK designers, who worked on the project with Benetti, created a beach area that’s never been seen before in the category, with a one-of-a-kind pool for yachts this size, appropriately called the Infinity Pool. Just a few steps from the sea, it is set in a big space clad entirely in teak, with side wings that open out to extend the floor space, turning the beach area into a huge lounge and terrace overlooking the water and designed to experience the life at sea in a completely new way. No longer an area that makes use of what space is available, as is the case on traditional yachts sold on the market, but an area designed precisely to experience the sea at any time and as intimately as possible, unimpeded by the tender and water toys hidden away in the side and forward garages, and so always perfectly ready for use. Another bonus in design, construction and engineering of Oasis 40M is the wheelhouse that represents one of the most important innovations. Designed as a multifunctional space, it’s not just a helm station but a new area where Captain, Owner and guest can enjoy the cruise and decide the course for a new point of view. Thanks to a futuristically designed steering position with a panoramic view, the space can accommodate six people all seated. This space also features full-height windows and huge spaces, making a comfortable area for guests. The exterior lines designed by the famous UK firm RWD are a perfect synthesis of Italian elegance and classic British lines, thanks to which guests can enjoy an unprecedented atmosphere of freedom and intense intimacy with the sea. The interiors offer relaxed and informal comfort, designed by the New York firm Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, whose elegant and minimalist projects include Ian Schrager’s boutique hotel, Donna Karan showrooms and the Pace Gallery in New York. The main and upper deck have large windows enabling natural light to be used as a design element. This characteristic and the unconventional layout of the spacious interiors are intended to underscore a desire for symbiosis with nature. The three external decks are designed to guarantee a strong sense of continuity between exterior and interior spaces thanks to the prevalent use of pale materials and colours. Oasis 40M has four decks with five cabins for ten guests and four cabins for seven crew members included the comfy captain’s cabin located on the upper Deck close to the wheelhouse. Equipped with two Man 1400hp, Oasis 40M is a yacht for owners who are not in a rush and want to enjoy the cruise. Featuring an excellent hull efficiency supplemented by a vertical bow, the yacht’s top speed is eighteen knots, and at eleven knots it consumes just over one hundred litres per hour, with a range greater than the necessary to cross the Atlantic.

Project: Benetti Oasis 34m

Benetti present the project for a new Oasis 34m fibreglass superyacht.  A private oasis on the water, she brings together all the glamour of the Oasis Deck solution, designed to experience the outdoor space as never before, in a length of just 34 metres. With Oasis 34m, Benetti satisfies the desire for close contact with the water and a dynamic and informal lifestyle on board, enhanced by chic touches. The starting point for the design is the Oasis deck and its five signature features: two wings that open out on either side; an incorporated infinity pool with a glass side wall, surrounded by a sunbathing and lounging area; a 270-degree view aft, uninterrupted by railings and sofas; seamless interconnection with the interior space for a mix of sun and shade, ensuring the entire Main deck can be enjoyed at any time of day and, finally, a social design that frames the whole deck as one big oasis of glamour and social interaction. Like her big forty meter sister, the yacht’s exterior styling is the work of UK firm RWD and the interiors are by Bonetti and Kozerski, the New York based architects specialising in residential and hotel projects, chosen by the shipyard for their international and cosmopolitan approach to design that values the aesthetics of discrete luxury. The exterior design is defined by solutions as exclusive as they are distinctive: in addition to the Oasis deck, the yacht has an elegant vertical bow and a sleek outline that slopes gently down to the water, broken only by the wheelhouse with its vertical windscreen; the floor-to-ceiling windows form part of the overall design, alternating with the counter-curved hull features to create a harmonious whole. The grilles in the hull walls and the silver trim highlighting the design of the side windows are stylistic references to car design and give the yacht a very contemporary aesthetic with a hint of sportiness. With her formal elegance, Oasis 34m has the right proportions to balance the three decks, the large Sun Deck with hard top, and the multiple outdoor areas. Unobtrusive stairways provide access to all the decks, freeing up the stern terraces for unfettered visual contact with the water. The interiors connect seamlessly with the stern terraces: two curved sliding doors open out onto to the main deck living area and disappear out of view to create one big open space. The spacious full lounge living area is defined by sofas whose flowing contours give the d├ęcor a modern and informal personality, while the dining area is located in the sky lounge on the upper deck. The settings created by Bonetti Kozerski have a casual feel and are all permeated by the recurring leitmotif of spatial fluidity, which can be seen in the shape of the furniture and in detailing that features a circular design reminiscent of ocean waves. Two circular sofas echo the curved lines of the glazing and are an invitation to relax in the interior living area, while the forward wall of the salon is made up of a linear bookcase. A pleasing and apparent simplicity of style reigns throughout, conveyed by the use of only a few high-end materials and the choice of a colour palette limited to only a few shades. The narrow-plank teak on the exterior decks strikes up a conversation with the wood flooring on the main and upper decks, where a lighter shade is used to make the settings seem brighter. The furnishings and bulkheads are finished in pale oak to let the side windows and their unparalleled views of the sea play the starring role. The owner’s suite, with full-height windows in a pared down but sophisticated style, occupies the entire forward section of the main deck and can be fitted with a terrace that opens out on the starboard side. The bed seems to float in space, supported by the aft wall acting not only as a bed head but also as a partition delimiting the full-beam bathroom, which is entered via dressing areas on both sides. The sky lounge on the Upper Deck is home to the dining area. Served by a convenient pantry, it is linked by a dumb waiter to the galley on the main deck and opens out onto a stern terrace furnished with sofas and armchairs. Another outdoor dining area is located on the sundeck. The lower deck for guest accommodation has two VIP and two twin cabins. The service and crew areas are distributed for maximum functionality, with the galley and main pantry on the main deck and the captain’s cabin on the upper Deck. Three crew cabins and the crew mess are on the lower deck. The wheelhouse is a high-tech helm station with vertical floor-to-ceiling glazing ensuring maximum visibility. The modern design of the console facilitates instrumentation use by the captain and conveys the beauty of cruising to guests and crew. Like all Benetti yachts, the spaces can be configured according to the owner’s desires. Other layout options relocate the interior dining area onto the main deck, freeing up the sky lounge for use as a multifunctional space that becomes a cinema with TV screens and a gym with fitness equipment. In the bow, the sun pad conceals a compartment for a jet ski, while the garage for a  five metre tender is located in an unobtrusive position on the side of the boat, ensuring that the Oasis deck can be used without compromise.

New Model: Benetti Motopanfilo 37M

On 29 July in Viareggio the ceremony for the launch of the first unit of the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M, whose elegant lines evoke memories of the finest nautical traditions with a contemporary twist to meet the needs of modern owners. Inspired by the Benetti “navette” from the ‘60s, the Motopanfilo 37M was conceived as a shell, reinterpreting those iconic, glamorous features and incorporating them into a timeless design across the yacht’s four decks. Lazzarini Pickering Architects designed the interiors and Francesco Struglia, in collaboration with Benetti, signed the elegant exterior lines.  Down by the sea, the transom nods to the iconic models of the Sixties in the form of a beach club allows easy access to the water. The central face of the transom, sharply inclined downwards, opens up to reveal a bathing platform surprisingly ample for a 37-meter. On the Main Deck, the tradition of wood and its enduring links with the sea have not been overlooked. In the saloon, modern-style glazed surfaces and gently curved ceilings amplify natural light thanks to the extensive use of warm wood and light colours for the floors. Towards the stern, the ceilings take on a double-curved effect, a testament to the shipyard’s excellence in craftsmanship. The owner’s suite is located toward the bow of the main deck, carrying the captivating design forward. On the Lower Deck, the respect for the innate character of each environment can be seen in the choice not to straighten the cabin walls, allowing them to follow the gentle, relaxed curve of the hull. The ubiquitous rib structure appears here with an inversion of colours and materials compared to the Main Deck. The four comfortable guest cabins amidships accommodate double beds and toward the bow, in a separate area, three cabins are dedicated to the six crew members. From the lobby, a spiral staircase winds around the central mast that rises through two decks as it accompanies guests to the sky lounge on the upper deck. The aft part of the Upper Deck is designed for convivial moments in the open air, with areas for relaxation, conversation and sunbathing. The captain’s cabin is adjacent to the wheelhouse, and on the exterior towards the bow, guests are welcomed by a Jacuzzi and sunbeds. The Observation Deck, once carved out around the main mast but on the new Motopanfilo 37M positioned above the hard top, provides a sheltered nook in the sky, absolutely intimate with a special view. The displacement hull, designed by P.L.A.N.A. PierLuigi Ausonio Naval Architecture, ensures smooth navigation and maximum comfort while onboard. The Motopanfilo 37M is powered by twin Man 1400hp  as standard or 1650hp optional units, giving maximum speeds of 16 or 18 knots respectively, with a range of 3,800 nautical miles at the 10-knot cruising speed.

Project: Benetti 67m FB284

A background of expertise and innovative technological choices are the main features of the Benetti FB284, an impressive and powerful 67-meter super yacht developed on six decks that enhance both the vertical and horizontal lines of the boat. Concept and exteriors are by Giorgio M. Cassetta while interiors are by Benetti Interior Style Department. The only element that deliberately breaks the continuity of the boat profile is represented by the bridge wings that, enhanced in their discontinuity by the surrounding surfaces, load the design with personality while showing an exclusive shape-function combination.  The interiors are evocative of the timeless Made in Italy excellence which finds its full expression in the high-end finishes of the boat, inserted in a balance of intercommunicating elements.  On the main deck, the cockpit is dedicated to the guests, who are immediately welcomed by some elegant seating. A large glass window, with a central door that slides inside the superstructure, divides the stern from the particularly long saloon, with large sofas and a dining table for 14 people. On the same deck, the spacious pantry and the large square-shaped galley precede the two VIP cabins, characterized by windows, large storage spaces and wardrobe.  The lower deck houses four guest cabins and, as a result of the absence of the galley, a large cabin for 17 or 19 crew members.  The upper deck is entirely reserved for the owner and his convivial needs. Forward, the master suite is equipped with a private studio and two separate heads, one with tub and shower, the other with tub, both with very long washbasins. Thanks to its position, the cabin offer a breath-taking view of the bow and the surrounding sea.  The bridge deck has been conceived as a true party deck. The shaded area can be optionally closed with a furnished veranda according to the owner’s needs. A well-hidden external staircase leads to the 90-square-meter sun deck. The wet bar offers a breath-taking view while, in the bow, a podium houses a large jacuzzi.  The same spirit of optimization of the spaces has dictated the design of a sixth deck, the under lower deck, which provides the boat with important additional areas, both technical and storage-oriented, suitable for long navigation and aimed at significantly improving life on board.  Benetti FB284 is the evolution of the platform on which the award-winning 63-meter Metis yacht was built and on the basis of which the upcoming FB270, FB274 (65 m) and FB278 “Project Fenestra” (67 m) will come to life.

Project: Benetti Motopanfilo 37M

During a virtual press conference Benetti presented the Motopanfilo 37M, a yacht permeated by immense charm that tips its hat to the 1960s Motopanfilo style epitomised by Benetti, but without any sense of nostalgia or vintage intentions. This model’s evocative and timeless style was described by Francesco Struglia, the designer of the yacht’s exteriors, and Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering from Lazzarini Pickering the firm of architects engaged to design the interiors. Motopanfilo 37M will be a three deck super yacht with accommodation for ten guests in five cabins.  Crew space is for seven in three cabins.

Project: Benetti B.Yond 37M

B.Yond 37M is the first model of B.Yond, Benetti’s latest product: a new category of Expedition yacht based on tradition and the desires expressed by owners. It is a yacht designed under the banner of the real rationalization of onboard volumes and spaces, as well as of practicality and privacy on all four of the boat’s decks. B.Yond is designed for long, comfortable cruises with a reduced environmental impact thanks to the E-Mode propulsion architecture developed for the shipyard by Siemens. The B.Yond 37M has a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and enclosed volumes close to those of a 500 GT, 50-meter mega yacht in just 37 meters, laid out across 4 decks. The Lower Deck is entirely for the crew, while the Main Deck is home to the Owner and guest cabins, and the Upper Deck is used as the day area.

New Launch: Benetti 70 meter FB273

The Benetti shipyard in Livorno has launched FB273, the elegant 70-meter custom yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The exterior design was developed entirely by Benetti, working in close collaboration with the Owner, while the interiors are by Laura Pomponi and her Team. The yacht extends across six decks and has a futuristic stern area featuring two side doors and a variable geometry swimming pool, a vertical bow with a “touch and go” helicopter landing area and a Jacuzzi on the Sky Deck. Construction work for FB273 was supervised on behalf of the Owner by Bureau Veritas Solutions MandO. Perhaps, the most striking of the many unusual features of this superyacht is the stern area which has a variable geometry swimming pool with a special system that varies the depth for use by both adults and kids, installed on a Benetti yacht for the very first time. The bottom of the pool becomes an integral part of the Main Deck when fully raised and the Beach Club opens out with two side terraces over the water. The indoor and outdoor spaces on the Main Deck are very generously spaced and feature big sunbathing areas. Moving forward from the stern, a light-filled living area with full-height glazed surfaces, furnished with sofas and armchairs, is followed by a dining room with a balcony on the starboard side that amplifies the sensation of contact with the sea and eliminates the boundary between interior and exterior. On the Lower Deck, guests are accommodated amidships in 6 double cabins. The crew quarters are in the bow area. The Upper Deck is dedicated entirely to the owner, with access both from outdoors and up the impressive interior stairway. In the bow, the private cabin occupies over 120 sqm and has a 180-degree view of the horizon, offering a bathroom with shower and sauna, a walk-in his and hers wardrobe, and a big, bright night area where the bed is flanked by the vanity table and breakfast corner. There is also a private lounge with loose furniture that looks out over the yacht’s majestic bow, reserved for the Owner’s exclusive use, and a touch and go helicopter landing area at the tip of the bow. On the same deck as the Owner’s suite, moving forward from the stern, are an outdoor lounge area with sofas and a sunbathing area, the interior lounge area, and a living space with a home theatre system. The office has a big monolithic glass wall that looks out over the interiors and is connected to the big lobby with a private balcony. On the left side is the gym, complete with a massage room. The Sun Deck features a big en plein air dining area connected to an interior veranda through a sliding door. Forward, the captain’s cabin is next to the bridge. The top Sky Deck is completely open, with a Jacuzzi, sunpad and loungers offering a prime vantage point to enjoy the sea view. FB273 is fitted with two 2,400 hp Caterpillar engines that drive the yacht to a top speed of 17 knots and give it a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.
