Project: Benetti B.Neos 40m

During the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival Benetti presented the B.Neos project, a reportedly but not confirmed forty meter super yacht concept.  B.Neos embraces the proportions and silence of sailing yachts, favouring instead the pleasure of the essential and beauty of simplicity.  Coming from the Greek word néos, meaning new young and fresh the Benetti B.Neos is designed by Malcolm McKeon for exteriors who brings classic chic lines, with interiors by Francesca Muzio FM Architettura. Both the designers focused in offering a motor yacht with fluid lines and spaces, and an intelligent layout embracing classicality with a modern twist. B.Neos focuses on a new generation of owners, a philosophy for a smart yacht, technological, unconventional, that redefines the traditional codes of super yachts.  Instead of the relentless pursuit of volume, see no wide body main deck, with a smooth S-shear line B.Neos offers an intelligent distribution of space, designed for an owner who rejects the superfluous in favour of a more direct and functional experience, where technology makes it possible to enjoy silence thanks the standard hybrid propulsion.  So far it is not understood if a Benetti B.Neos is under construction, or this was an offered inbuild project, with technical details beside the designers name, and hybrid type propulsion being the only information provided.  Also it is not reported if the Benetti B.Neos is to be build of fiberglass, aluminium, or steel.

Project: Princess 106 Odyssey

Princess Yachts, the UK’s largest luxury yacht manufacturer, has announced its return to the thirty meters plus superyacht segment with the announcement of the 106 Odyssey project at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.  A bit of Princess super yachting history, the Plymouth yacht builder entered 24 meters plus sizes in 2001 when it launched the 25M, this was followed by always expanding sizes and under one hundred foot for a decade, that is when Princess buys part of the Devonport Naval Base in 2011, and enters thirty meters plus sizes in that same year debuting the 32M.  The 32M is followed by the largest Princess to date, the 40M, and then by the smaller 35M and 30M.  In total 38 yachts were build in eight years over thirty meters with the most successful being the 30M sold in fifteen units, and the 35M the least as it was delivered in seven hulls.  The 106 Odyssey marks the return for Princess in the thirty meter plus segment after an absence since 2019, and is the first model in a forthcoming range of larger yachts with a more ship like exploring presence, unlike the previous M range which had sleek modern lines. The 106 Odyssey is a super yacht designed to deliver more volume to square meter for its size, and will offer numerous interior configurations, possible from an innovative layout, and a range of optional packages to ensure customer choice is both simplified and wide-ranging. Princess say the 106 Odyssey is engineered for distance and long range, although thus far with this first project announcement they have advised no distance capability details, but they are saying it will feature a hybrid fast displacement hull.  As layout goes the main deck features an expansive cockpit and transom with flexible furniture and drop-down balconies designed to adapt effortlessly to every occasion. The owner’s suite includes a private lounge or ante-room, a dressing area, and a spa-inspired en-suite bathroom, while the upper deck offers configurable layouts with bespoke furniture options, an optional spa bath, and floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights that create a bright, airy sanctuary. The lower deck is to feature a full-beam VIP stateroom that can be transformed into two en suite double cabins, providing up to four elegant guest cabins in total.
