Project: Van Den Hoven Voyager 50

Van den Hoven presents the Voyager 50 project which sees the Dutch boat builder enter a new market a segment.  The configuration and sporty looks of this 50-footer will appeal to owners, with or without guests, looking for a single-level living layout. Although the exterior of the fifteen meter coupé yacht follows the concept of previous Voyagers, her compact and stretched lines make for a faster look. With a typically Mediterranean feel, the design by René van der Velden features a spacious open cockpit that will host lots of outdoor fun, with plenty of space to move around safely, while the large yet cozy aft deck is perfect for al fresco lounging and dining with loved ones or guests.  The Voyager 50 features an impressive amount of storage space for bicycles and the like with a electric hatch in the stern. The interior also includes a well-equipped galley, while below is a three cabins with six beds and two bathrooms.  Owners room is located forward and features separate shower and toilet rooms.  Because the Voyager 50 is built entirely in aluminum, it is fully adaptable to your wishes. Project: Van Den Hoven Voyager 61

Van den Hoven from the Netherlands has unveiled the dynamic design for an all new Voyager 61 flybridge motoryacht, a result of years of research and design and client consultation.  Construction has started on the first of these spacious all-aluminium fast-displacement yachts that will allow owners to cover distances in good time and exceptional comfort. With more people looking to enjoy a areas such as the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and beyond, Van den Hoven decided to branch out and create a fast yacht in aluminium, developed with one of the leading Dutch designers in this field, Rene van der Velden for exterior and interior, and hull shape by Fred Dorresteijn.  Der Helden has successfully retained the characteristic Van den Hoven lines while drawing an exciting motor yacht. Recognizing that owners will spend a lot of time outdoors as they explore new grounds, the Voyager 61 makes excellent use of the available al fresco spaces. A large flybridge comfortably accommodates eight people who will enjoy the pleasures of the outside galley and the sun loungers. The foredeck also features large sun beds while the aft deck is a pleasant spot for shaded relaxation in the open air. The overall goal of the interior design was to achieve the finest possible blend of space, lightness and transparency, offering a very comfortable living space. A large open galley on the main deck is connected to the lounge and dining room, with one flowing piece of furniture bringing simplicity to the layout while generating a lot of space in optical terms. In a similar vein, the lower deck uses glass walls and doors in the bathrooms to create a unified space. Meanwhile, the extensive use of glass as part of the superstructure further complement the light and airy ambiance on the Voyager 61. The views are excellent too. The last piece of the jigsaw for the Voyager 61 was to create a hull that synthesizes comfort, speed and low fuel consumption. This has been successfully achieved by teaming up with award-winning Dutch naval architect Fred Dorresteijn. The hull has the smallest possible stern surface thanks to an ascending keel line from forward to aft, minimizing resistance and swell when going slower than hull speed.  Speed estimates are for 21 knots from only twin Volvo 725hp and weight of over 42 tones.  Thanks to serious interest noted and based on the many remarks, observations and wishes Van Den Hoven is planning to expand the series with a 70 and a 79 feet Voyager models.

Project: Van Den Hoven 1700 Executive Mk.II

Fairly soon after the introduction of the new Executive 1500 Mk.II and 1850, Dutch builder Van Den Hoven started seeing demand from the market to fill the gap between the two new models. This was how the new Executive 1700 Mk.II project, currently under construction in Waspik started to take shape.  The new 1700 Executive Mk.II design follows the modern and international design language established by the 1850 and 1500 Mk.II, but with its own clear identity. Examples include a redesign of the side windows and a fresh take on the hull. New design methods have also made it possible to combine higher speeds with a lower fuel consumption.  As Van den Hoven interiors are well-known for their intelligent layout and spaciousness, with a great deal of attention to this aspect for on board comfort. The galley, wheelhouse, lounge and dining space flow naturally into each other, adding to both the cosines and convenience. For instance, guests can enjoy a drink on the aft deck, the modern galley invites top-notch cooking, and there is plenty of space around the helm for people to gather and socialize.  The standard version of the  Van Den Hoven 1700 Executive Mk.II is equipped with twin Volvo 225hp diesel engines with line shaft propulsion.

New Model: Van Den Hoven 1500 Executive Mk.2

Van Den Hoven new Executive 1500 Mk.2 retains all the qualities of the replacing 1500 and combines them with an exterior design inspired by the new Executive 1850. The changes in the hull design include the stepped bulwark, resulting in a lower hull and a more elegant and sporty silhouette. The swimming platform and access to the engine room aft have become also more accessible. In addition the stern features horizontal and vertical curves as part of the fresher design approach.  The most eye-catching element is the entirely new superstructure, which includes stepped sides of the wheelhouse roof to create extra curves, an extended aft roof to ensure it is easily closed off with an awning to provide more privacy and protection from the sun.  The Van Den Hoven 1500 Mk.2 will be fully equipped with marine glazing for a more modern and high-quality look, the flush deck creating a wider front of the cabin, making room for a large sofa on the fore-deck.  As Van den Hoven builds its yachts in steel they are able to offer a wide variety of adjustments, with a flybridge model of the Executive 1500 Mk2 also being an available option.  Following hull one launched in Summer 2017, three hulls have already been sold of the Executive 1500 Mk.2 with the third being delivered in Spring 2018.
