Aft Cabin Cruiser Ends Aground in Oakland Beach, Warwick

A thirteen meter aft cabin cruiser with four persons and a dog ended aground in Oakland Beach, Warwick on the afternoon of Monday first September.  The story was broken by Turnto10.com news website.  The US Coast Guard, Harbor Master, and Police attended the grounding and subsequent part-sinking.  A first try to pump out the water out of the boat failed, with a salvage operation now being planned later on the week.  The aft cabin cruiser departed from Pleasure Marina in Oakland with direction for a week cruise to Block Island.  No injuries were reported from the grounding.
The aft cabin cruiser in this accident is a Wellcraft 46 Cockpit Motor Yacht as produced from 1990 to 1995.  The 46 Cockpit Motor Yacht is a one meter in length extended 43 San Remo, this giving a low level free aft cockpit deck.
