Archipelago Yachts Announces Partnership with Orca
Archipelago Yachts, the innovative British yacht manufacturer known for its sustainable and forward-thinking vessel designs, today announced a strategic partnership with Orca, the cutting-edge marine navigation technology company. Starting immediately, all new Archipelago yacht builds will feature Orca's advanced navigation system as standard equipment, delivering an unparalleled boating experience that combines modern technology with sustainable maritime practices. This partnership brings together Archipelago's commitment to sustainable, intelligent vessel architecture with Orca's revolutionary approach to marine navigation. The collaboration will deliver a seamless, end-to-end boating experience that redefines how owners interact with their vessels and navigate the world's waters. "Our partnership with Orca reflects our shared vision for the future of boating," said Dr Stephen Weatherley, founder of Archipelago. Azimut-Benetti Group Forecast to Close 2025 at 1.5 Billion Revenues
Three strategic drivers: 115 million in infrastructure, two new product categories to boost the high-end range while engaging both experienced and next-generation owners, and expansion into new key markets, confirming the Group's international leadership. At the end of the 2024/2025 nautical season, the Azimut|Benetti Group expects revenues of €1.5 billion, up 15% on the previous year and in line with business plan targets. The backlog secured since January 1, 2025 – standing at €2.5 billion euros and extending into 2029 – testifies to the solidity of the Group’s order book and reinforces the consolidation target for financial 2025/2026. The Group’s performance, which has succeeded in achieving its growth objectives and generating value for stakeholders despite the market slowdown, demonstrates the solidity and foresight of its vision. The drivers that have determined its success remain at the core of its strategic roadmap: infrastructure investments to advance production sites and create centres of excellence, ongoing investment in product innovation, through a portfolio strategy oriented towards enhancing the premium segment and introducing concepts attuned to the evolving sensibilities of yacht owners, a market approach that aims to consolidate a geographically balanced presence and penetrate new high-potential areas. The infrastructure investment plan covers all Azimut|Benetti Group sites in Italy and involves projects on both production facilities and headquarters, worth a total of €115 million over the period 2024-2027. The priority is powering the shipyards, with a special focus on capacity in terms of size – with the Avigliana site upgraded to build yachts of up to 28 meters – and expanding the areas dedicated to high added value activities, such as the refit projects undertaken by the Lusben division. The in-sourcing of strategic activities intensifies with two centres specialising in high-quality processes: the Light Steel Hub where steel work for boats under 45 metres is carried out, and the Composite Hub in Tuscany for the Group’s megayachts focused on fibreglass and carbon fibre processing, which join the proven excellence of the Avigliana site. The expansion of the Group’s industrial facilities opens the way to further evolution of the Azimut and Benetti fleet in three key directions: consolidating leadership in the high-end segment, affirming its leading role among a new generation of owners, and introducing stylistic and technological innovations capable of interpreting contemporary lifestyles. In today’s more complex market affected by a slowdown and competitive pressure, Azimut and Benetti win through distinctiveness thanks to the industry’s largest and most innovative fleet: models that don’t just intercept but often anticipate and shape owners’ contemporary sensibilities. In addition to constantly renewing their core ranges, the two brands are investing in the creation of innovative categories capable of attracting newcomers and new generations as well as experienced owners, strengthening their positioning based on vision, innovation and quality. With the Seadeck Series, Azimut has introduced a new concept of luxury that interweaves aesthetics, cutting-edge technology and a tangible reduction in environmental impact. A vision of yachting free from formalities, celebrating an intimate relationship with nature and authenticity. This sentiment is now deeply rooted among contemporary shipowners, finding a complementary and unexpected expression in the Grande Series, the industry benchmark between 26 and 40 metres, capable of achieving extraordinary market values. In Cannes, Azimut presents the new direction of the Series thanks to the interpretation of m2atelier, who introduces the concept of barefoot luxury, an expression of an instinctive and personal lifestyle, made up of natural comfort, fluid spaces and elegance experienced without superstructures. Building on its established leadership in the world of megayachts and custom-made designs, Benetti – through the Oasis and B.Yond families – has brought owners closer to the sea, transforming yachting into an emotional, mindful, and more sustainable experience. After a first generation of unprecedented success, Benetti is now ready to unveil the new evolution of the Oasis 40: the 42 renews and amplifies the experience of full connection with the sea, featuring even more contemporary lines by RWD and interiors by bonetti/kozerski architecture, and introducing stylistic innovations never seen before in the industry. Looking to the future, for owners who find in travel the very essence of the experience, who yield to the call of exploration embracing their seafaring spirit, the Group is dedicating two absolute novelties, conceived to introduce a new philosophy of navigation and to redefine the culture of yachting, elevating its language and aspirations. In September, Azimut will inaugurate the new era of the voyager, while Benetti will bring to life a long-awaited but hitherto unrealised vision: a brand-new category, combining the comfort of motor yachts with inspirations drawn from the world of sailing. The Group’s business and innovation drivers aim to consolidate a balanced and competitive presence on all international markets. Despite the backdrop of growing social and economic volatility, the backlog confirms a well-diversified distribution across the main geographical areas: 38% in Europe, 31% in the Americas and 31% in EMEA-APAC. Europe benefits from an unrivalled local network, supported by the success of models that have shaped yachting tradition in this region. Here, Azimut|Benetti Group continues its programme of direct presence in the main international hubs, with the Azimut boutiques in Palma de Mallorca and Monaco soon to be joined by the new Benetti showroom situated next to the Monaco Yacht Club. This is a project with high added value, strongly desired by both brands to showcase the concrete results that can be achieved in sustainable innovation through an approach based on scientific objectivity, tangible actions and transparency. Further strengthening the presence on the French Riviera is Lusben’s new sales office in Antibes. The Middle East, which together with APAC has risen from 23% to 31% of the order portfolio, is now the area reporting the fastest growth and the highest concentration of potential new customers. This trend is driven by targeted investments aimed at strengthening local presence, enhancing the sales network, and opening up high-potential markets. Saudi Arabia is the most emblematic case: over €300 million in sales over the past 24 months and two new offices soon to open: Azimut in Gedda and Benetti in Riyadh. In the Asia Pacific region, also characterised by an emerging pool of new owners and now a maturing market, Azimut|Benetti Group has a long-standing presence and is represented both directly and through a wide network of dealers across the main countries: Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam and, of course, Australia and New Zealand.
The Americas, and the United States in particular – a market in which Azimut|Benetti Group holds a position of leadership in the category – are becoming a springboard for the Shipyard to achieve ambitious goals, despite the fact that it is currently the most challenging area because of the new import tariffs. In autumn 2025, the Group will be opening two exclusive Azimut and Benetti boutiques at Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, established as the new hub for luxury, in another demonstration of leadership that never rests on its laurels.

Feadship Joins Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization
Feadship has officially joined the Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization (NEMO), a collective dedicated to advancing fair and effective regulations for the deployment, operation, and decommissioning of floating nuclear power. This step builds on Feadship’s energy transition roadmap launched in 2020, which defines the shipyard’s pioneering path toward carbon-neutral yachting. Milestones already achieved include next-generation multi-fuel systems and the integration of fuel cell technology, demonstrating both technical readiness and long-term ambition. With fourth-generation nuclear reactors now approaching maturity, floating nuclear power is gaining attention across the maritime sector. Potential applications from the mid-2030s include offshore power barges for synthetic fuel production and zero-emission propulsion for the world’s largest vessels. For Feadship, maintaining an open perspective on such transformative technologies is essential to future-proof superyachting. Through dedicated R&D, Feadship has explored the potential of nuclear propulsion for yachts, examining the technological, regulatory, and operational implications. While economic and crew-related challenges remain considerable, the absence of clear regulation remains the primary barrier to adoption. Issues such as radiation dose limits, operational freedom in sensitive ecological zones, and access to densely populated harbours must be addressed before nuclear systems can realistically play a role in yachting. By joining NEMO, Feadship contributes to shaping the regulatory frameworks that will enable responsible innovation. This reflects the shipyard’s conviction that collaboration, transparency, and proactive regulation are key to sustainable maritime energy. "Yachting has always been about pioneering the future of technology at sea," said Giedo Loeff, Head of Innovation and Strategy. "Joining NEMO aligns with our vision to explore every credible pathway toward a sustainable future. Nuclear power may not be tomorrow’s solution for superyachts, but it could be part of the long-term horizon – and it is our responsibility to help shape that possibility in a safe and sustainable way."

Ferretti Group Private Preview at Monaco with Simply Red
The allure of the sea, the splendour of the world’s most beautiful yachts and a great evening of music all helped make the tenth Ferretti Group Private Preview a memorable and exclusive event, held this year from September 4 to 7 in the unique setting of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
The event reserved for selected customers and guests showcased the most eagerly awaited new products from the Group’s brands, featuring eight premières by Ferretti Yachts, Itama, Riva and Pershing. The fleet was completed by over 30 yachts in a spectacular preview that wowed the audience of international owners. The star of the evening show on Saturday September 6 was British band Simply Red led by Mick Hucknall, with a magnificent live performance that anticipates the band’s 40th anniversary world tour. The audience's excitement was palpable, with evergreen hits including Stars and Holding Back the Years alongside new songs performed on a stage suspended over the water and surrounded by the majestic Ferretti Group fleet. Another highlight of the evening was the haute cuisine dinner curated by chef Antonio Mellino – his Quattro Passi a Nerano restaurant on the magical Amalfi Coast has won three Michelin stars – who delighted guests with a refined and creative gastronomic journey. “A big thank you to Mick Hucknall and Simply Red—I am still singing all the many hits from their fantastic concert! This wonderful evening goes to show that talent and passion are the key ingredients of every successful project, from music to yachts. A Private Preview – in its tenth edition – as exciting as this one, with eight premières and the most fantastic boats of the world, is the perfect start to this year’s boat show season,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. The success of the tenth Private Preview was sealed by eight premières that thrilled guests with exclusive visits and sea trials: the innovative Ferretti Yachts 800; the breakthrough Itama 54; Aquariva Special, the only Special after the Aquarama; Riva Cento, the limited edition celebrating the 100th Rivamare; Riva 58’ Capri, the new-generation sport open yacht, and Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super, the new flybridge yacht with expanded spaces and dimensions for outstanding liveability. Completing the line-up were two more debuts: the Ferretti Yachts 940 and the dynamic Pershing GTX70, the new entry in the GTX generation, presented this year to mark Pershing's fortieth anniversary. For this special occasion, Ferretti Group was joined by official automotive partner Range Rover, which showcased several of its most iconic models; by Flexjet, which recently presented the Riva Volare project featuring the first Gulfstream G650 and the first helicopter with custom Riva interiors; and by Bang & Olufsen, Frette, Cassina, Seabob, Atelier Rebul and Torello. The collaboration continued with Venini, while the brand’s outstanding wine partner was Marchesi Antinori. Exteta for Riva and Unopiù also contributed by designing the furnishings for the event’s exclusive spaces. Special thanks also go to Dolce and Gabbana, supplier of the uniforms worn by the Ferretti Group team, and to longstanding partner Yacht Club de Monaco.

Ferretti Wins Design Innovation Award at Genoa International Boat Show
The new Ferretti Yachts 800 makes a convincing case to everyone at the Design Innovation Award, the top-tier event organised by Confindustria Nautica and The Boat Shows to celebrate excellence and innovation in international yachting. The prize was awarded to the new Ferretti Yachts flybridge yacht at the Genoa International Boat Show, in the "Motorboats over 14 m LH” category, for these reasons: “great consistency in terms of aesthetics, design and construction for a boat with a bold identity, designed for use in real world situations”. The new boat completes the range renewal process launched in 2018 and is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee chaired by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The new model is the ultimate expression of the style evolution process penned by Filippo Salvetti and IdeaeItalia respectively for the exterior and interior design. The standout features that won the Award for Ferretti Yachts in this category are the large windows that create visual continuity between interiors and exteriors, the design solutions that ensure total privacy, and the 40-square-metre flybridge. The modern, dynamic design reflects the brand’s identity and projects the range into the future, combining a sporty spirit with sophisticated detailing. Ferretti Group’s victory at the Design Innovation Award once again confirms its ability to interpret new yachting trends by designing boats that satisfy the tastes and desires of owners worldwide.

Lurssen Sells NVL Naval Division to Rheinmetall
Bremen-based shipyard group Lürssen has confirmed the sale of its naval division, NVL (Naval Vessels Lürssen), to German defence contractor Rheinmetall. The move marks a major shift for the family-owned company, which will now focus entirely on the construction, refit and repair of yachts. Rheinmetall will take over all NVL sites, shipyards and staff, including its management team, and integrate the division into its naval business. The deal, which remains subject to regulatory approval, is expected to be completed in the coming weeks and forms part of the wider consolidation of Germany’s defence industry. “Given today’s heightened security environment, we believe consolidation within the defence sector is both necessary and sensible,” said Friedrich Lürssen, Managing Partner of Lürssen Maritime Beteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG.“By selling NVL to Rheinmetall, we are laying the foundation for a capable defence champion with broad system expertise. We are pleased to have found a strong and reliable partner that can offer NVL and its employees a secure future.” For Lürssen, the decision represents a clear strategic realignment. Having separated its naval and yacht operations in 2021, the group will now concentrate exclusively on yacht building under the Lürssen brand. Its yacht division employs around 2,000 people worldwide and specialises in the construction, refit and repair of large yachts. “It was important to us that our naval division, its technological expertise, and above all NVL’s 2,100 employees, would be placed in good hands,” added Peter Lürssen, Managing Partner. “The discussions of recent weeks have shown that our companies share the same values and long-term vision.”

Sanlorenzo's Perotti Celebrates Twenty Years in Cannes
Sanlorenzo returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival with a clear message of momentum, vision, and evolution. The brand opens the European boat show season by marking the 20th anniversary of Massimo Perotti’s transformative leadership. A two-decade journey redefining Sanlorenzo as a global benchmark in made-to-measure yacht building, innovation, and Italian mastery. On the eve of the festival, Mr Perotti presented Sanlorenzo’s strategic priorities as his leadership enters a third decade, outlining a dynamic future built on sustainable growth, continuous design innovation and cultural leadership — positioning Sanlorenzo not only as a creator of exceptional yachts, but as a brand shaping the future of contemporary luxury. The statement of intent comes as Sanlorenzo reports strong financial results for the first-half of 2025, underscoring the strength of its brand and resilience of its unique business model. Net revenues from new yachts reached € 454 million in H1 2025, up 9.4% year-on-year. EBITDA rose by 8.5% to € 80.5 million, with a margin of 17,7%. The company confirmed a robust order backlog of €1.44 billion as of 30 June, reflecting continued demand across the segment above 30 mt of its Yacht and Superyacht business units, as well as strong momentum from recent acquisitions, including Sanlorenzo’s strategic entry into sailing with Nautor Swan. Having reconfirmed its financial guidance for 2025, the company is targeting annual revenues of circa €1 billion for the first time — a step-change from €42 million in 2004 when Mr Perotti joined, ahead of taking over the company in 2005. “The stability and measured growth achieved in the first-half of 2025 reflect the resilience of Sanlorenzo, the strength of our brand, and the timeless desirability of our yachts. Our order intake — particularly for yachts of 30 metres and above — confirms the vitality of our made-to-measure philosophy, our scarcity-driven model, and the success of our strategic entry into sailing with Nautor Swan. These values, combined with innovation, remain the essence of our Maison.” said Massimo Perotti, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Sanlorenzo. “Here in Cannes, we’re proud to debut three new Sanlorenzo yachts, alongside new launches from Nautor Swan and Bluegame, presenting the most complete and coveted monobrand portfolios in their segments. Further premieres will follow in the final quarter – including a new concept for Sanlorenzo that embodies our pursuit of everlasting beauty and innovation, and the first delivery of the 74Steel – our largest yacht ever crafted, and a milestone embodying Sanlorenzo’s position at the pinnacle of the category.”
Sanlorenzo Approve First Half Consolidated Financials
The Board of Directors of Sanlorenzo S.p.A. (“Sanlorenzo” or the “Company”), chaired by Mr. Massimo Perotti, approved the consolidated half-year financial report as of 30 June 2025. Mr. Massimo Perotti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said: «The first half of 2025 reflects the resilience of Sanlorenzo, the strength of our brand, and the timeless desirability of our yachts. Even in a global environment marked by trade tariff uncertainty and broader macroeconomic pressures, we have delivered stability and measured growth, underpinned by sustainable revenues and healthy margins. Our positive trajectory and continued growth are testament to our highly differentiated business model, which provides superior resilience. The Sanlorenzo philosophy is fundamentally shared across the whole Group, now including Nautor Swan, acquired in 2024. Our order intake, particularly strong for yachts of thirty metres and above, confirms the vitality of our made-to-measure philosophy, our scarcity-driven model and the success of our strategic entry into sailing with Nautor Swan. This, combined with evidence of continued wealth creation among the highest wealth cohorts, gives us strong confidence in the future and allows us to reaffirm our 2025 guidance. Innovation remains the essence of our Maison. At the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, we will debut three new Sanlorenzo yachts, alongside new launches from Nautor Swan and Bluegame, showcasing the most complete and coveted monobrand portfolios in their respective segments. Further premieres will follow in the final quarter – including a new concept for Sanlorenzo that embodies our pursuit of everlasting beauty and innovation, and the first delivery of the 74Steel a milestone that embodies Sanlorenzo’s position at the pinnacle of the category, whilst retaining our focus within 2,000 GT, where the risk-return profile is strongest, rather than pursuing the segment beyond our sweet spot.»
Sanlorenzo Art Present Breathtaking by Fabrizio Ferri
Sanlorenzo, a symbol of culture and craftsmanship in the world of yachting, proudly presents Breathtaking as the inaugural exhibition at Casa Sanlorenzo, the brand’s new cultural hub in Venice, under the banner of Sanlorenzo Arts. Conceived and created by internationally renowned artist Fabrizio Ferri, the installation is a reflection on the devastating impact of plastic and microplastic pollution in the oceans – a work that underscores the direct link between marine pollution and its lethal consequences for human life. Housed in a restored 1940s villa overlooking the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, Casa Sanlorenzo was restored by Sanlorenzo’s Artistic Director, Piero Lissoni, and conceived as a place where design, dialogue, and environmental awareness converge. Accessible through the first pedestrian bridge built in Venice since 2008, the opening of this space marks a bold new chapter in Sanlorenzo’s journey, where excellence in yachting meets artistic and sustainable purpose. Following its acclaimed debut at the Museo di Storia Naturale in Milan earlier this year, with more than 40.000 visits in four days, Breathtaking arrives in Venice with an entirely new addition: a portrait of music legend and activist Sting. In this haunting body of work, Ferri encases 13 iconic figures in plastic, suspended in a breathless stillness. The striking visuals evoke the silent suffocation of marine ecosystems under the weight of plastic pollution. “Not long ago, I stumbled upon some very disturbing photographs of a seal and a dolphin suffocated by plastic bags. Looking at these images I gained a new awareness: the deadly force of the contamination of the seas and oceans that we cause with plastic and microplastics is not only killing the oceans, we are also killing ourselves. To share this conviction, I conceived an installation, Breathtaking, capturing dramatic portraits of famous international talents as if asphyxiated by plastic. Their adhesion to the project has been immediate and emotional. Each of the large format prints will hang on a black wall, transfixed by two hand-forged iron nails. The viewer will be immersed inside this oval-shaped installation, at the center of which will be placed a transparent glass coffin filled with water." – said Fabrizio Ferri. Breathtaking will immerse visitors in the haunting silence of the deep sea through a striking and fully enveloping installation. At its centre, a large glass coffin filled with seawater — a potent symbol of the fragility of marine ecosystems and of life itself — will stand surrounded by 13 large-scale images, mounted on a black wall and pierced with raw iron nails. Marina Abramović has contributed to the work by proposing the recreation of the ocean’s soundless void through the use of noise-cancelling headphones. With this first exhibition, Casa Sanlorenzo establishes itself not only as an exhibition space but also as a symbol of the brand’s cultural commitment. Curated under the Sanlorenzo Arts programme, this venue is a platform for interdisciplinary exploration, where sustainability, design, and the sea become the canvas for a new creative dialogue. Held during the Venice International Film Festival and the 2025 Biennale Architettura, the opening brought together leading figures from the worlds of yachting, architecture, art, and cinema – including multi-award-winning actor Willem Dafoe, whose portrait appears in the exhibition alongside those of Sting, of course, Helena Christensen, Misty Copeland, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Gala Gonzalez, Julianne Moore, Bridget Moynahan, Carolyn Murphy, Isabella Rossellini, Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts. “Casa Sanlorenzo is a natural extension of our philosophy, where beauty and responsibility go hand in hand,” declared Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman Sanlorenzo. “With Breathtaking, we open our doors not only to art but to a deeper conversation about the future of our oceans. This is not just an installation. It is a statement of intent.” Open until 23 November, Breathtaking places Sanlorenzo at the heart of Venice’s cultural season, inviting its yacht owners, art collectors, creators, and change-makers into a space that reflects the brand’s most pressing values: innovation, sustainability, and beauty with purpose. The Breathtaking installation, curated by Geraldina Polverelli Ferri and Cristiano Seganfreddo, was photographed in New York by Geraldina Polverelli Ferri and in Italy with the support of Nobile Agency, in collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, with the backing of Credem Euromobiliare Private Banking. The exhibition is open to the public from Tuesday 2 September to Sunday 23 November, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (Thursday to Sunday).

Tankoa Yachts Acquires Otam
Tankoa Yachts, the boutique shipyard specializing in the construction of custom superyachts, announces the acquisition of OTAM’s business division. The transaction, finalized in full agreement with the two founding families, includes both the historic shipyard in Genoa and the OTAM brand. The dockyard activities in Santa Margherita Ligure will remain under the ownership of the current owners. The expansion project presented by Tankoa Yachts at the beginning of 2025 continues successfully. The OTAM facility covers approximately 4,800 sqm of covered areas, 3,300 sqm of open-air spaces and a water basin of nearly 10,000 sqm, complete with existing infrastructure and operational workshops. Tankoa will undergo a restructuring and upgrading program that includes extending concessions, consolidating and reorganizing these areas, and building new production sheds in line with the shipyard’s current needs. The operation goes beyond facilities and infrastructure: the OTAM workforce is being integrated into the Tankoa Yachts team, ensuring job continuity while enriching the shipyard with new skills and experience. The OTAM brand, with its long-standing heritage and solid international reputation, thus becomes part of Tankoa’s portfolio. The shipyard is committed to preserving its legacy, while defining the strategy that best aligns with its long-term vision. With this transaction, Tankoa Yachts further strengthens its bond with the city of Genoa, reaffirming its role as an ambassador of Italian yacht building excellence and consolidating its presence in the region.
Viking Support Bluefin Science
Despite the harvest closure, fishermen with HMS (Highly Migratory Species) Angling or charter/headboat permits may still catch and release – or tag and release – bluefin of all sizes. At the same time, anglers play a vital role in science. Fin clips can be taken alongside the boat before release and sent to the University of Maine’s Pelagic Fisheries Lab for the Genetics for Giants and Juvies project. Viking and its partners are advocating for stronger science and smarter management to ensure consistent access while protecting the stock. NOAA closed the western Atlantic bluefin tuna angling category on Aug. 12 after estimating 244 metric tons landed toward the 2025 quota of 297. The closure has caused frustration and economic loss, even as the stock rebuilds. But anglers can make a difference. Recreational fishermen provide most of the 27–73 inch samples that power close-kin mark recapture studies — work that is expected to drive stock assessment and improve management. Viking has teamed with Costa Del Mar and others to reward anglers: 50% off Costa sunglasses and project shirt for all who return samples, Free sunglasses for the top sampler in each state (Maine–Florida), Grand Prize for the 2025 overall top sampler: project shirt/hat, Viking Yeti cup, Viking apparel and a Shimano Stella 20K spinning reel. The first step is to request a free sampling kit here: Genetics for Giants & Juveniles. Please only order if you are committed to collecting and returning samples to the University of Maine Pelagic Research Lab.
