Testament to this is its participation in the Venice Boat Show with the AB 100, two launches in May, the delivery of the new AB 130 flagship, and a prestigious international accolade at the World Superyacht Awards. May has proven to be a particularly significant month for AB Yachts, marked by a series of noteworthy achievements. The AB 110, launched in June 2024, took home the win at the 2025 World Superyacht Awards in the category “Semi-Displacement or Planning Motor Yachts, 30–39.9 m.” The award ceremony was held in Venice on May 3. The second unit of the AB 110 will be launched by the end of the month, ready for sea trials and final outfitting. On May 19, the fourth unit of the AB 80 hit the water, this launch marks the first yacht delivered from the historic Viareggio shipyard, which recently became the Group’s new Headquarters. Both of the Group’s primary facilities are undergoing full renovations: the Headquarters, which houses the outfitting processes and offices and has tripled production capacity, and the ‘AB Yachts and Maiora Deck Lounge,’ an ideal space to welcome clients and host up to seven yachts from both ranges afloat. “AB Yachts is experiencing a phase of strong growth and renewal, as we focus on strengthening our leadership in the high-performance yacht segment. Every milestone we reach reflects our drive to push the boundaries of speed, technology, and design, always with a keen eye on our owners’ desires for customization. Today more than ever, our goal is to deliver unparalleled sailing experiences, anticipating the expectations of tomorrow’s owners and listening closely to the dreams of those who choose to sail with us,” said Sebastiano Fanizza, CEO of Next Yacht Group.

Azimut Wins Miglio Blue Design Award 2025
Azimut receives a new acknowledgement of the Seadeck 7, with a win at Miglio Blue Design Awards 2025 in the “General Concept” category. The award ceremony took place at the Teatro Civico in La Spezia as part of the Blue Design Summit, an event dedicated to innovation and sustainability in the nautical sector. The award, which recognizes shipyards that stand out for their design excellence and sustainability, was assigned to Seadeck 7 for its innovative concept, design and use of cutting-edge materials. This model embodies Azimut’s “Gentle at Sea” philosophy, which welcomes a new lifestyle in contact with nature through a holistic approach to design, in which stylistic innovation, design and advanced technologies meet. Advanced naval architecture, the extensive use of carbon and a full-hybrid system developed with Volvo Penta, which makes the benefits of electrification available for the first time on medium-sized family-run motoryachts, allow the Seadeck 7 to reduce emissions by up to 40% compared to traditional boats in the same category. A distinctive element is the Fun Island: a reinterpretation of the aft cockpit conceived by Alberto Mancini that transforms this area into a terrace that embraces the sea, eliminating any barrier with the surrounding environment to offer a sense of well-being linked to a deep connection with nature. Azimut replicated this conscious approach in the choice of materials, opting for natural, recycled and recyclable materials, which are also used for the interiors designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, who introduce a new language to the world of yachting.

Bringing both experience and managerial vision, Andrea will make a decisive contribution in guiding a new phase of growth, in making production processes even more efficient and in continuing to raise our quality standards,” comments Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group. "After nineteen years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the world, I have chosen to come aboard the excellence of the yachting sector," says Andrea Antichi, Azimut Yachts General Manager. On this occasion, the Azimut|Benetti Group expresses its thanks to Daniele Romiti for his commitment to the role of General Manager since 2022. During his mandate, Romiti has led important development and enhancement projects for Azimut’s production sites, with particular attention to the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the sustainability of industrial processes, such as the introduction of energy self.

Benetti at Second Edition of World Boating Day 2025
On Saturday, May 17, over 2,000 people gathered at the Benetti Shipyard in Livorno to celebrate the World Boating Day, an initiative by the Superyacht Life Foundation now in its second edition. The event enjoyed significant visibility, as the Shipyard chose to participate again this year, this time in conjunction with the first edition of “Blu Livorno”, the Biennale of the Sea and Water, held from May 14 to 17. The Biennale focused on the marine economy and was aimed at citizens, public administrations, private companies, schools, and local associations. Saturday saw every activity organized by the Shipyard fully booked, with strong attendance across the board. Benetti and Lusben employees also took center stage, serving as speakers and guides. All age groups were engaged and inspired, from painting workshops for children, seaside pilates sessions, and storytelling at the Museum, to visiting the sailing boat from “Isola della Vela” and boarding the NATO research vessel Leonardo. The day continued with a roundtable discussion with maritime institutes and ISYL (Italian Super Yacht Life Institute) students and concluded with a concert by the young musicians of the Mascagni Orchestra. A day for the whole family, but above all an opportunity to promote a culture of boating among young people, encourage them to discover the world of yachting, and attract new talent, potentially turning into future job opportunities in a sector that is vital to the entire economy. During the closing ceremony of the “Blu Livorno” Biennale of the Sea and Water at the Aquarium Terrace, the Mayor of Livorno, Luca Salvetti, together with Ferdinando Pilli representing the Shipyard, announced—before authorities and citizens—the symbolic handover of five French naval cannons, currently preserved by Benetti, to the Livorno community. This gesture garnered great admiration and public interest. Furthermore, the Mayor and the Councilor for Culture, Angela Rafanelli, awarded a prestigious honor, “To Those Who Love the Sea and Water,” to the Vitelli family. The Shipyard’s participation in this important initiative reaffirmed its commitment to bringing more people closer to the world of yachting, revealing its secrets and enduring appeal, while also showcasing its deep-rooted connection to the surrounding territory.
Bilgin Inspires Future Talent on World Boating Day
Bilgin Yachts hosted young maritime enthusiasts and aspiring engineers at its "Student Shipyard Day | Explore. Learn. Get Inspired." event as part of the World Boating Day celebrations on May 24, 2025. Held at the shipyard’s headquarters in Istanbul, this special event aimed to provide university. Throughout the event, students participated in guided tours of Bilgin Yachts' state-of-the-art production facilities. During these tours, they had the opportunity to closely examine several new superyachts currently under construction. Tugba Sengun Topgul, Marketing Director at Bilgin Yachts, reflected on the broader meaning of the occasion: “At Bilgin Yachts, we take great pride not only in building yachts, but in being an active part of maritime culture. World Boating Day provides a meaningful opportunity for us to celebrate this identity on a global scale. To keep the spirit of the day alive, we welcomed students to our shipyard, giving them a firsthand look into the outfitting stages of our ongoing projects -from final equipment installations to the journey toward delivery. They witnessed how engineering, craftsmanship, and design come together in real time.” Further extending the World Boating Day celebrations, Bilgin Yachts also supported the spirit of sailing. In Antalya, Bilgin Kemer Sailing Club members set sail for a dedicated one-day event at Kemer Marina. During this private, invitation-only gathering, a race boat also joined the race with the support of Bilgin, further highlighting the company's commitment to the broader maritime community and the passion for the sea.
Cantiere delle Marche Wins Two World Superyacht Awards
CDM is thrilled to announce that the Flexplorer 146 Lt. Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell has been awarded the WSA in the Displacement Motor Yachts category for yachts 499GT and below, ranging from 40m to 45.9m, and the RJ115 Pazienza was honored in the Displacement Motor Yachts category 499GT and below, ranging from 30m to 39.9m. Vasco Buonpensiere, Ennio Cecchini, and the two Owners comment the Awards: "I don't know how not to sound rhetorical, but the fact that a 'small' Italian shipyard founded in 2010 has earned such prestigious recognition is a truly remarkable achievement. It's a profound source of pride and a great honor for the entire CDM Tribe," says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CDM. "This year, four of our yachts were finalists at the World Superyacht Awards, with two recognized as the best in their categories by a distinguished panel of highly respected judges. This is a rare accomplishment that makes CDM one of the few shipyards to be honored twice in a single edition of the World Superyacht Awards. For us these awards are not the final goal of our commitment, they are a further confirmation that the route we set was the right one. We did it by pushing forward, mile after mile, holding the course and keeping the rudder steady, especially when it was hardest. Thanks to everyone who believed in the journey." "For CDM, the awards to Pazienza and Maverick represent a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence. They reflect who we are: visionary, trusted, and proudly leading the future of explorer yacht building," adds Ennio Cecchini, co-founder of CDM and the company's President. "We take immense pride in crafting explorer yachts that not only sail the world's most remote waters but also command global recognition. Receiving the Neptune, the coveted statuette awarded at the World Superyacht Awards, holds the same prestige in our industry as the Oscar does in the film industry. These awards are a powerful affirmation of who we are and what we stand for. Winning at the World Superyacht Awards solidifies CDM's standing as a premier builder of durable, high-quality, and seaworthy explorer yachts. It positions our brand among the best (and top) yacht builders globally." "My family, the crew, and I are incredibly proud of the Neptune Award. Together with CdM, I believe we've redefined what explorer yachting under 499 GT can be. Maverick matches the quality and functionality of the best Northern European mega yachts, but at 45 meters, she can still slip into small harbors. We've now been on our round-the-world journey for almost five months, currently sailing the Baltic Sea before heading into the Arctic via Scandinavia. Sadly, this meant we couldn't attend the ceremony in Venice—but rest assured, we celebrated the Neptune Award in true Maverick style!" proudly states Tom Schröder, Owner of Maverick and CDM's majority shareholder. "Since her delivery just 13 months ago, we've spent around 300 days aboard. It's not just a yacht: it's our home. And we're looking forward to the next 6.5 years as we continue exploring the world aboard the Winner Maverick." The Australian Owner of Pazienza says: "Over the course of more than 5,500 nautical miles, Pazienza has carried us through everything—from tranquil glassy seas to the raw intensity of sea state 6 and sudden storms, with waves up to 6 meters and winds reaching 55 knots. While calm days are always welcome, life at sea for months demands a vessel that can handle nature at her most unforgiving. That's why we're deeply grateful for choosing Cantiere Delle Marche. Pazienza delivers both comfort and uncompromising safety in every condition — an explorer yacht that envelops its guests in true luxury. This rare blend of elegance, resilience, and craftsmanship has now been recognized with the industry's highest honor: the World Superyacht Award for Displacement Motor Yachts 30–34.9m. A well-earned tribute to the outstanding team at CDM."

Custom Line wins an important new award at the Miglio Blu - Blue Design Summit, the annual event focusing on yacht design, innovation and culture that brings together industry leaders, top companies, designers and international shipyards in La Spezia. The Custom Line 50 superyacht won an award in the ‘Living Innovation’ category for the architectural vision behind a revolutionary interior layout that introduces unprecedented living solutions in this market segment. What convinced the panel of judges was the deck devoted entirely to the owner, with a 75-square-metre suite at the bow featuring a private terrace, spaces flooded with natural light, and separated crew and guest flows to ensure maximum privacy. This exclusive design approach revisits the on-board lifestyle through a contemporary lens. It’s a recognition that confirms Custom Line’s ongoing commitment to developing tailor-made projects that combine aesthetics, functionality and innovation, and highlight the owner’s central role in the brand’s design philosophy.
Feadship Announces First Sale with Feadship Resale
Feadship has confirmed the first two successful sales through its recently established service, Feadship Resale. These early milestones include the 75.75-metre ONE (2025), co-listed with Edmiston and sold with Burgess acting as the buying broker, and the 83.50-metre Savannah (2015), co-listed with Edmiston. This achievement affirms what many have long suspected: Feadship’s unrivalled technical expertise, focus on Feadship only, and access to the yacht's history, bring a distinctive advantage to the brokerage process. "For years, owners have asked us to help sell their yachts," said Arjen van Elk of Feadship Resale. "We always directed them to brokers, but now we can offer something far more comprehensive. We know the yachts inside out – we built them." This, he added, makes Feadship a valuable partner to all brokers we collaborate with. Quietly introduced at the end of 2024, Feadship Resale quickly struck a chord with long-time clients. Immediately, several owners returned directly to Feadship, placing their trust in the people who know their yachts best. Feadship Resale is a service offered exclusively on the request of the client. Collaboration remains at the heart of the approach, with Feadship working alongside trusted brokerage houses to provide owners and buyers with seamless, informed support. With these two major sales now complete, the Resale team is ready to assist prospective Feadship buyers and sellers who value Feadship’s dedication and knowledge. Feadship Resale now represents six yachts in its growing portfolio, with the 57.60-metre W as the most recent addition to the Feadship Resale fleet.

Mr. Alberto Galassi, the Group’s Chief Executive Officer, stated: “We close the first quarter of 2025 with solid and consistently growing financial results. The order book reached a new all-time high of 1,768.6 million euros, reflecting an increase of 7.6% compared to 31 March 2024 and 6.3% compared to 31 December 2024. Hanse Yachts Sold
This weekend, the long-standing majority shareholder Aurelius reached a preliminary agreement with the German family entrepreneur Andreas Müller and the CEO Hanjo Runde on a key terms paper. The main key points for a takeover of the majority shares of Aurelius in HanseYachts AG, the German yacht manufacturer and builder of brands including; Hanse, Fjord, Moody, Ryck, and Sealine brands have been agreed upon. These terms will form the basis for further negotiations between the parties on the transaction and a final purchase agreement. According to a statement, HanseYachts AG intends, with new owners, to set the course for a stable and future-oriented development of the company in view of current global challenges. The company is also conducting discussions regarding restructuring to realign production capacity due to global market uncertainties. Andreas Müller and Hanjo Runde thus combine the values of family entrepreneurship with a forward-looking and current-conditions-oriented corporate management. They also see this as a clear commitment to the continued presence of HanseYachts in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. CEO Hanjo Runde says: “With family entrepreneur Andreas Müller, we would gain a sustainably-minded partner who can support our strategy in the long term. My entry into the group of shareholders represents a clear commitment to HanseYachts AG and its employees as well as to the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the region of Greifswald. We will do everything we can to find responsible solutions together with the state, the banks and the works council. We will shape the upcoming transformation with the greatest possible transparency and responsibility.” The finalisation of the transaction shall also be subject to further agreements by HanseYachts AG, in particular an agreement with the state government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the financing banks and the works council. Among other things, this concerns the restructuring of existing liabilities. Without anticipating the outcome, negotiations are being held with the works council regarding a reconciliation of interests and a social plan. The parties are engaged in intensive and constructive discussions. The executive board and supervisory board believe that all parties involved are aware of their responsibility and says they are therefore confident that a viable solution concept can be developed promptly. This is particularly the case in light of HanseYachts posting a strong first quarter of 2025. Revenue of approximately €41 million, an EBITDA margin (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of around 12 per cent, and a profit of €2 million underline the success of an innovation programme initiated by the executive board, which has resulted in a strong brand and leading competitive position. Despite these operational successes, the industry remains exposed to significant pressures. Firstly, global economic uncertainty; secondly, weak economic conditions in core markets such as the USA and Germany; and thirdly, ongoing geopolitical conflicts and military confrontations. Taken together, these factors lead to a noticeable reluctance to invest in yachts. The effects of the global economic situation on HanseYachts AG are delayed compared to competitors, it says — a result of the company’s innovation and the successful relaunch of almost the entire product portfolio. Production will continue at full capacity until the end of June 2025 to serve the ongoing seasonal business. However, afterwards, production is to be adjusted in line with the significantly declining demand in order to ensure the economic stability of the company.

In 20 years, thanks to successful models and the widespread network of Sacs Tecnorib distributors, present in 19 countries, over 1,000 Pirelli-branded boats have been produced and delivered to as many owners of over 30 nationalities, who sail the coasts of Florida, the bays of Australia and the seas of Italy and Europe, exceeding 20 million in annual turnover in the last two financial years. To celebrate this anniversary, an event was organized in Villa Bicocca degli Arcimboldi, at the Pirelli Headquarters. An opportunity to retrace key moments in the partnership through an exhibition that recounted twenty years of style, innovation and passion for performance. “The partnership with Sacs Tecnorib is a virtuous example oriented towards excellence and for this reason capable of lasting over time. Together we have been able to transfer the values of the Pirelli brand such as innovation, sportiness and glamour to the nautical world, with a range of boats that has redefined the standards of the sector. This anniversary celebrates not only the results achieved, but also the strength of an agreement that looks to the future with ambition, determination and the desire to continue to grow” said Marco Maria Tronchetti Provera, SVP Pirelli Design & Assets Conversion. “Twenty years of close cooperation on a complex project is an achievement that fills us with pride. Since the beginning we have tried to interpret the attributes of the Pirelli brand by adapting them to the nautical world, with an innovative and international approach” – Gianni De Bonis, Founder Tecnorib. “This anniversary renews a successful partnership and launches us towards new challenges in strategic continuity and with even greater attention to the issues of sustainability and international development.” Says Matteo Magni, President & CEO of Sacs Tecnorib. From the first models to Speedboats: an iconic range that redefined stylistic codes. With the debut of the Pirelli P Zero 770, a new stylistic idiom was born in the nautical world: taut lines, a reactive hull, rigorous proportions. Furthermore, for the first time, the tread of the P ZERO™ tyre appeared on tubulars, marking the beginning of a visual identity that would characterise all subsequent Pirelli-branded models. In 2007, the project took on a new form with the Pirelli 1400, whose offshore-inspired design won the “Best of the Best” title at the Red Dot Design Award. In 2012, the Pirelli 1100 Cabin was born, which would be the best-selling cabin cruiser in the history of the range. With the 1100 Cabin, style meets comfort and introduces a different perspective in which you not only steer, but experience the boat. At the 2017 Cannes Boat Show, the flagship appears, the most imposing model of the collection: the Pirelli 1900. A maxi rib with offshore performance, large covered spaces, sculpted design and aggressive look. In 2019, the identity is consolidated and the range is enriched with a new dimension, that of jet tenders: compact, essential and recognizable. Strengthened by this long experience, the collaboration evolves and a pure walkaround is introduced. Thus in 2020 the Pirelli 42 was born, characterized by connected spaces and an immersive experience, combined with a unique and sporty character. It is the first model of the Pirelli Speedboats range which today also includes the Pirelli 30, 35 and the Pirelli 50, the true flagship of the brand. Alongside the main line, the Pirelli Tenders range has established itself, designed to meet the needs of shipowners with a wide and versatile range of products.

Viking Tournament Legacy Grows
This year's tournament success in Costa Rica reinforces Viking's status as a dominant force in the sportfishing world. Various models excelled in high-profile events such as the Pelagic Rockstar Offshore Tournament, IGFA Open and Signature Triple Crown. “We’re up against great competition, and our boats and teams continue to win,” said Pat Healey, Viking President and CEO, who also competes as an angler aboard Team Galati’s Vikings. “We’ve won more legs at the Signature Triple Crown than anyone else–and we’ve done it with a new fiberglass boat every year.” Team Galati won the Triple Crown back-to-back in 2020 and 2021, fishing a 62 and a 58, respectively. The Viking 72 Rum Runner (below, left) took the crown in 2022, and Team Galati won the event in 2023 for an unprecedented third time. The Viking 64 Fish Tank finished second overall in 2024. Team Galati in 2025 had a stellar performance in Leg II (below, right), with Captain Tony Carrizosa leading the team and releasing an impressive 186 billfish for a second place overall finish. In the inaugural IGFA event, an intense competition, Team Galati claimed the top spot, with an impressive 81 overall sailfish releases. “It was an incredible performance by Team Galati–they took the lead on Day 2 and never looked back,” says the IGFA’s Zack Bellapigna. Three Vikings landed in the top five at the Pelagic Rockstar, competing against a fleet of 107 boats in Central America’s largest and richest fishing event. The 64 Fish Tank (below) won this tournament back-to-back in 2023 and 2024 and finished fourth this year; the Viking War Party (also a 64) finished second in the 2025 event. Viking is poised to build on its legacy in Costa Rica and around the globe, pushing boundaries of what’s possible in the sportfishing arena.

Viking Shines in Tournament Debut
Making a bold entrance onto the tournament stage, the new Viking 74 clinched first place overall at The Shootout – Production vs. Custom in the Bahamas (April 30–May 3). The event featured a 68-boat fleet, including 37 custom sportfishing yachts, and the 74 rose to the top in its very first outing. Held at the Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour Marina in Marsh Harbour, The Shootout is a high-profile, invitation-only event that pits leading production boats against top custom builds. It’s a release-format competition that attracts some of the sport’s most competitive teams. “Our team is on an incredible roll, and every win is a testament to our success when competing against some really tough custom boats,” said Viking President and CEO Pat Healey, a demo team member and founder of the demo program. The victory wasn’t just a win – it was a strong statement. “The boat performs beautifully across the board, but it really shines in a head sea,” said Ryan Higgins, Viking Southeast Sales Manager, former demo captain and current angler. “In 4- to 6-footers, we were walking past other boats. The crew said it’s the smoothest, driest-riding boat they’ve ever run. Sea trialing this boat is an absolute must.” Captain Sean Dooley (above center), who ran the boat during the event, echoed those impressions. “She doesn’t just punch through – she knifes through the seas,” he said. “You can hold your speed, keep your line, and never feel like you’re fighting the boat. It’s effortless.” This result reinforces a message: No matter the model, Viking’s semi-custom fiberglass sportfishing yachts continue to win – and they’re doing it when it counts most, with an exceptional combination of performance, innovation and fishing prowess in the most demanding conditions. The Viking 74, which made its public debut at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, proves once again that when it comes to competitive sportfishing, we’re building a better boat every day.

Zeelander Refit Brings Glamour Back
A Zeelander Z44 previously belonging to Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima has been brought back to its glamorous best after a far-reaching refit at the Zeelander yard. The winter jobs list for the 12-year-old yacht has seen the hull taken back to bare laminate for a comprehensive repaint, re-upholstered and re-engined, so that it can start the next chapter of its life with a swagger. Many elements of the thirteen meter traditional cruiser required no work at all. Such was the degree of craftsmanship employed during the build phase that the cherry wood interior was still in perfect condition. A quick clean to remove grease and dust from the surface returned it to its former glory. The same is true of the pommele table in the cockpit and much of the internal upholstery, whose original quality still shone through. But the famous Zeelander lustre of the boat’s exquisitely curved topsides had begun to fade after years in the relentless Florida sunshine, so intervention was needed. Lifted out at the Zeelander shipyard in Groot Ammers, the Netherlands, the Z44 was moved to the state-of-the-art spray booth for a major facelift using Awlgrip.
Zeelander Shortlisted for Yacht and Aviation Awards 2025
The Zeelander 8 is shortlisted for '2025 Motor Yacht Under 25 Meters' at the international Yacht & Aviation Awards 2025. A quiet nod to a yacht that exists in a class of its own—even within a category.
