Two Canadians were saved when a sixteen meter Prestige motor yacht titled N'Our Way caught fire half a nautical mile offshore to the ocean side of Snake Creek near Islamorada on 13:35 hours of Thursday seven January. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officers and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the fully-engulfed yacht, with the two passengers escaping unscathed onboard the yachts small tender. Towboat came following to the scene and secured a line to the yacht and towed it to shallow water in order to stop it from drifting out to sea, as the vessel continued to burn itself out. According to reports the yachts sustained a mechanical failure and is to be removed tomorrow by commercial salvage.
The Prestige yacht in this fire is a 560 Flybridge model as designed by Garroni and produced from 2016 to 20. The Prestige 560 Flybridge came out as a replacement and was an evolution to the successful 550, and was replaced by the 590 F.
