An eleven meter Sea Ray sport cruiser ended aground near Black Rock Lock to the Niagara River side, in Buffalo to the North East of New York on the Friday evening of fifth June 2020. TowboatUS sector Buffalo who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the boaters and the vessel, securing it and then organizing a removal operation the following morning. Due to the strong winds of the day, with fifteen knots a crane removal operation with barge was chosen. The cause of the accident was reported to be lack of visibility due to fog. Some of the boaters which numbers was not mentioned were to have had some minor bruises and scraps.
The Sea Ray in this accident is a second generation 370 Sundancer as produced from 1995 to 1999. The second generation 370 Sundancer was a replacement to the first generation 370 Sundancer, and was replaced by the Sea Ray 380 Sundancer.
