New Model: Viking 58 Convertible

The new 58 Open Bridge Convertible headlined Viking's 2018 annual Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event.  Viking says this new three-stateroom, two-head blue runner will exceed all expectations as both a tournament machine and versatile family cruising yacht with all the quality, comfort and superior engineering you expect the USA New Jersey boat builder.  Viking signature center console walk-around helm provides excellent 360-degree sight-lines. The Viking subsidiary Atlantic Marine Electronics has custom designed and installed the 58 Convertible electronics, navigation, safety and audio-visual systems. Palm Beach Towers, another Viking Company, has outfitted the boat with a custom hardtop with drop-down electronics box and a full tuna tower. These sister companies play a major role in Viking ability to deliver turn-key-ready yachts.  The interior of the 58 Convertible  features a main deck with a salon, L-shaped lounge, galley which includes high-gloss teak-faced cabinetry, under-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer units with deep pull-out drawers, and a four burner cook-top with a microwave/convection oven, and dinette to starboard.  Below the 58 Convertible featues a master stateroom at midships, forward VIP suite, and a third bunk cabin to starboard. The forward stateroom is offered with either a queen or crossover berth sleeping three arrangement.  Viking says the 58 features best aft deck in its class with a cockpit measuring fifteen square meters of space. Viking 58 Convertible hull number one is powered with a pair of the new MTU 1600hp each. With this power and standard fuel, the 58 Convertible exceeds 40 knots at the top end and delivers a comfortable cruise in the mid-30-knot range. Three different engine options from MAN are also available.
