New Model: Pardo 43

This new Pardo 43 sees one of the most respected sailing boat builders Cantiere del Pardo of Grand Soleil fame return to building motor boats.  This is not the first time that Cantieri del Pardo produced motor boats as it had a stint in the past from 1989 to 1996 with the Hudson and Ricci line designed by Jim Wynne of Magnum Marine fame, and produced in two models the 40 and 54.  The Pardo 43 is designed by Zuccheri who is the designer of the moment and has a growing portfolio of names to his signature. The Pardo 43 is offered in two main deck exterior layout configurations with the same option for the lower deck.  The cabin lower deck is available with two or four berths, thanks to the addition of a midships cabin with two single berths.  Power for the Pardo 43 is from standard Volvo 370hp or optional 435hp units with IPS pod propulsion.  The Pardo 43 seems to have had a booming launch with unconfirmed reports of twenty units plus sold in its launch at the Cannes and Genoa boats show respectively.  According to the Pardo website the 43 is to be followed by two models in the future, a smaller 36 and larger 52.  If the success of the Pardo 43 is true no doubt that these will happen.
