This is a very interesting new model, which comes from a builder Contest, who ventures into motor powered yachts going into its fiftieth anniversary. The 52MC is Contest first venture into engine based powered yachts. Its looks are a bit a hybrid of modern and traditional with some parts giving a shout to the current interpretation of the down East lobster boat. The 52MC is a design by Georg Nissen, engineered by Vripack, with interiors by Wetzel Brown Partners all in cooperation with the Contest team. Her accommodation plan is offered in three different layouts; a three cabin versions A plan, and two twin cabins version, with C plan replacing cabin three to starboard with a galley below deck. Standard engine power is twin 305hp Perkins, or Cummins 330 engines.
