Project: Wider WiLder 60

Wider has always prided itself on being a convention-challenger. From its visionary cruiser and superyacht designs, industry-leading serial Hybrid Propulsion System and eco-conscious WiderCat offering, since foundation the Italian brand has set out to deliver unparalleled experiences for equally visionary owners. This summer, Wider is set to launch a new project conceived and designed by the in-house Centro Stile Wider, that borrows from visionary and adds provocateur: WiLder, the shipyard’s alter-ego conceived to indulge the wilder side of lovers of superyachts and the sea. A sign of Wider’s urge to create and will to conquer new territories, WiLder’s first creation will be a daring 18.6-metre, all-aluminium thrill machine that serves as its own hybrid between chase boat and performance cruiser. Built in line with superyacht-derived processes and finished with the attention to detail of the finest Italian craftsmanship, the WiLder 60 combines sharp aesthetics with rigorous engineering to offer a fully customisable forty-knot platform for fun, with bespoke build options available according to individual wants and desires. This tailored superyacht approach elevates the WiLder 60 from a just-one-of-many model to a lust-for-life series of one-offs, each as unique and as special as the individuals who order them. The design is infused with Wider creativity from stem to stern, with angular styling and signature Wider space. The aluminium hull ensures seaworthiness in all conditions, while the shallow 1.05-metre draft means the fun can be carried all the way to the beach. The arrival of the WiLder 60 marks not just a product in itself, but the launch of a new and independent brand within the Wider family with its own philosophy, its own identity and its own sense of how life on the water can be enjoyed. The first WiLder 60 is currently in build and is scheduled for launch in the summer of 2023.

Project: Wider Moonflower 72

Nauta Design and Wider are very pleased to announce the start of the construction of the Moonflower 72 project, an innovative superyacht equipped with latest generation of the Wider hybrid propulsion system, a trademark of the Italian yacht builder. In early 2021 Mario Pedol, co-founder of Nauta Design in Milan, and Marcello Maggi, who heads up W-Fin Sarl, the holding Company that owns 100% of Wider equity, met up and reciprocally updated their respective projects, constructions and outcoming plans for the future. Nauta was looking for a builder for a superyacht project in the 70 meter length range and attention turned to Wider as the proposed builder. The two veterans of the superyacht industry immediately saw eye to eye, and soon after the preliminary design package was shared with Wider. That led to an agreement between the client, Wider and Nauta which consisted in signing a Letter of Intent in early September 2021 and a contract in January 2022. The exterior styling reflects Nauta’s trademark preference for clean, uncluttered design without fussy or superfluous detailing. Visual lightness, seamless outdoor/indoor connections, predominantly horizontal lines and the extensive use of glass, highlight the balanced proportions, while the chamfered sheer line amidships adds a dynamic aspect to the displacement hull. An exterior highlight is ‘The Island’ feature patented by Nauta Design, an expandable aft deck/beach club with folding bulwark terraces that provides a single walkaround space allowing guests to move freely from one side of the yacht to the other, either from inside beach club or from the open aft deck. The Moonflower 72 will be equipped with the Wider hybrid propulsion system comprising two variable-speed generators of 1,860kW each and a sodium nickel battery bank of approximately 1MW. As usual for Wider, the use of the latest innovations and technologies to be in harmony with the sea and the environment played an important role in this project too. Considerable attention has been paid to the recovery of energy dispersed in the form of heat from the electrical propulsion system, as well as optimising the operation of the onboard amenities to increase efficiency and reduce consumption by using AI to automatically learn the habits of owner, guests and crew.

Project: Wider 135

During the fall of 2019, Wider announced two new projects.  We spoke about the Wider 180 some time ago, now we speak for the 135, the second project unveiled by the Italian team, a 41 meter superyacht entirely constructed in aluminum, and an evolution of the 125 announced in 2015 which evolved into the 130 project in 2017 and at some point was even announced to have been sold and to have started production but as at today seems to have never been completed.  The Wider 135 remolds the 130/125 in the stern area with a beach club that completely unfolds creating a ninety squared meters multi-use platform at water level, and also an option to fit an infinity pool. Wider style department, headed by Michele Lubrano Lobianco designed modern and dynamic lines, always maintaining the focus on the direct contact with the sea, even in an large three deck super yacht.  The Wider 135 will offer accommodation spaces for up to ten guest berths in five staterooms including an owners room in the forward part of the main deck.  The Wider 135 as all models of the Italian builder will be powered with a hybrid propulsion set up of electric diesel power and can reach speeds up sixteen knots, cruise at twelve, and be used electric only at six knots.

Project: Wider 180

During the 2019 Monaco yacht show, Wider presented two new projects, one which involves for a new 180 flagship model.  During this press conference Marcello Maggi, Philip Zepter and Tiziano Giovannetti revealed to the press what they were working on for months. This was their first official public appearance after the Wider acquisition in July 2019.  The 54 meter super yacht Wider 180 project has already started and the first cut of the hull is planned at the beginning of 2020 with a delivery foreseen for February 2022.  Andrea Vallicelli have designed clean and essential lines and created huge volumes for a yacht of this size. The beach area, a distinguishing feature of the all Wider models even the small 42, in the the 180 model will open up for a space up to 160 squared meters, offering an incredible space to sunbath and relax, with a seawater swimming pool, a spa and a gym. Moreover, thanks to its Floating Launching System, the area can recover a ten meter tender making entry and exit maneuvers considerably easier for the crew in launching and recovering procedures.  Wider 180 represents a step further forward in the constant company evolution towards full electric technology. The Wider 180 is to be equipped with one main generator with an emergency back up generator leading to a weight reduction and consequently less consumption and maintenance expenses.

Project: Wider 130

Wider is delighted to announce the project for a new 130 model.  The 130 project in theory is a replacement of the 125 of which supposedly was sold in 2016 and is currently under construction. The aggressive styling of this full-displacement all aluminium super yacht is designed by the in-house Wider team offering exceptional range and generous living space without compromising the clean modern lines that the Italian builder is known for.  The sporty exterior styling of the Wider 130 allows for huge deck space totaling more than two hundred squared meters, split into three distinct luxury areas: the fore deck for sun worshipers, bridge deck aft for alfresco dining, and the generous beach club.  Wider 130 will offer six double guest cabins sleeping twelve guests.  Performance is a max speed up to fourteen knots while range can go up to 4200 nautical miles at 8 knots.

New Model: Wider 150

Founded in 2010 it is an interesting short story so far that of Wider and it's founder Tilli Antonelli. who reaches a new stop and starts a new departure with the new 150.  The first Wider 150 is something very different of what is usually found in the market thanks to its innovative diesel electric propulsion system and a forward engine room.  The first Wider 150 thinks ship like propulsion in a smaller 46 meter package. If this this has been done in small size ships I do not know, but for a yacht of this size it is surely a first. But apart the technical innovation the Wider 150 is also a sleek looking super yacht with substance, with looks by Fulvio de Simoni, full displacement bulbous hull shape, aluminum 5093 construction, and a range of 4200 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Project: Wider 125

Wider boss Tilli Antonelli, and renowned designer Fulvio de Simoni present the new 125 project a further evolution of the 122 offered more or less about a year ago. Innovation, and latest technology comes with all the Wider range and the 125 like its bigger 150 and 165 sisters will be a diesel electric powered yacht.  Accommodation will feature six guest cabins, with an interesting owner style apartment located forward of the main deck offering two rooms, a master stateroom and children's room.  Crew cabins will be seven; three of these located forward of the lower deck, and a captains room by the pilot house on the top deck.  With the crew quarters is also included a lobby with a C-shaped settee, and a large separate galley. Performance numbers are very interesting in the Wider 125 and will feature top speeds up to 14 knots, a cruise of 12, and an economic 10 knots which gives a range of 3600 nautical miles.

New Model: Wider 32

At the beginning of the year Wider announced it has started production of the newest addition to its revolutionary fleet: the sleek yet spacious 32. Designed by Fulvio De Simoni as the perfect tender to the Wider 150 or any other super yacht, this highly versatile model is equally suited to use as a fast, comfortable sport cruiser. Wider are proud to announce the 32 has now been launched on schedule and is ready for inspection. As you would expect from a Wider yacht, the new 32’ is easily distinguishable from other express cruisers. Its dominant axe bow and low transom give the impression it is leaping out of the water, eager to slice through the waves. The three meters beam tapers only slightly towards the bow in order to provide maximum cockpit space and freedom of movement, and to facilitate boarding from a mother ship. The cockpit is designed to be easily adapted to the owner’s specific requirements, accommodating as many different configurations as possible from an inviting dining area with folding table to a nice sunbathing platform. The Wider 32’ also comes with an adjustable, easily installed awning to shade the entire cockpit. Below deck, the stylish cabin is furnished with two facing sofas that provide comfortable seating for entertaining or ship-to-shore transportation protected from the weather; they also convert into spacious berths for overnight stays on board. The galley, equipped with sink, stove ring and refrigerator, disappears seamlessly into the contemporary cabinetry. A surprisingly large, full-beam head with shower is housed in the bow. Storage for personal belongings is maximized throughout the Wider 32. The hull is designed to provide a smooth ride and excellent performance. Twin 260hp Mercruiser diesel engines mated to stern drives deliver a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 37.

Project: Wider 165

It is very interesting what Tili Antonelli and his partners are doing with the Wider brand.  What started with a 42 feet innovative runabout model, is turning into an interesting brand, which showcases its products in a high range of sizes. The early part of 2014 have been also interesting for Wider increasing its super yacht range, after the company sold and is currently building the first 150. Now Wider presents itself with a larger 165 project, a triple deck super yacht, with a bulb shape hull. The preliminary accommodation plan of the 165 features four guest staterooms, and an owners master on the main deck. Crew cabins will be six including a captains cabin on the top deck just behind the pilot house. As usual to Wider the aft will be a transformation zone, from the stern beach, to the opening side garage at starboard.  The Wider 165 will also feature an interesting fore deck fitted as a large sunbathing area.

Project: Wider 122

Starting up with a 42 model, a few years back Tilli Antonelli Wider makes strides forward in it's Superyacht range by presenting its second project the 122. This new project was presented following the sale of the 150. The 122 is a design of Fulvio de Simoni and is a three deck super yacht with a distinctive modern profile. The third high deck of the 122 is very integrated in the profile of the overall design thanks to the fore part of main deck being a full body. The Wider 122 will offer two tender stowage areas, one to fore, and another to aft. The tender to aft will have a side access, leaving the stern bathing platform fully dedicated for a beach transformation when the yacht is at rest on anchor. The Wider 122 will offer four guest cabins plus an owners stateroom on the main deck. Crew area will be located to fore and will feature four cabins, plus a lobby with an L-shaped settee. The galley is to be located on the main deck. Two dining areas are featured in the 122, one on the main deck and another on top. Wider 122 will be build of aluminium and will feature electric diesel propulsion reaching top speeds up to 14 knots.

Web: Wider New Web Site

Wider Yachts presents its new World wide web showroom. Wider was founded in 2010 by Tilli Antonelli the ex Pershing Yachts President and founder. Wider is an interesting revolutionary company which brings the 29 years experience from 1981 to 2010 in the Sport Cruiser and Yacht sector Antonelli showed at Pershing. Since its inception Wider showed Antonelli virtue of innovation breaking the mold of current trends. Among the major innovations of Wider are modular settings which expand spaces, and add unique configurations. For example the 42, first model of Wider launched in 2011 joins a center console to that of a cruiser, performance stepped hull, and high technology construction. Currently Wider features four models; 32, 42 from the Cockpit range, and 122, and 150 from the Superyacht. Wider new website takes you around with the following buttons: Company, Project, Wider Superyacht, Wider Cockpit, I Want It, and News and Events. Wider also features its social hubs YouTube, and Appstore located at the bottom right of the page.

Project: Wider 32

One of the most appealing features of the Wider 150 super yacht currently in build is its capacity to house a 32 tender in the aft garage. The wet launching system designed to launch the tender allows the lazarette to transform into a luxury pool/spa area surrounded by a Wider beach. Tilli Antonelli and his design team have invested thousands of hours into the design and development of this vessel, keen to ensure that it is practical for use as a tender but also reflects Wider’s philosophy of innovation and initiative. The result is the new Wider 32, perfect for use as a super yacht tender or as a small sports cruiser. As you would expect from Wider, the 32 is easily distinguishable from other sports cruiser yachts. The dominant axe bow and low transom give the impression that it is leaping out of the water, eager to slice through the waves. Her slim ten feet less beam tapers only slightly towards the bow, giving maximum floor space for sunbathing and to facilitate stepping on board from a mother ship. This is a yacht that is perfect for use as a tender but can also be enjoyed as a standalone sports cruiser, fully equipped with an enclosed dinette area with two convertible sofas, galley equipment, and a separate head. The Wider 32 will be powered by twin Mercruiser 260hp engines, connected to Bravo stern drives to deliver a top speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.  Work on the molds of the Wider 32 is already under way. Assembly will be starting in March with a view to finishing the first unit towards the end of May.

New Model: Wider 42 Cote D'Azur

Wider 42 just recently celebrating its important number ten delivery presents a new version named distinctively the Cote D'Azur.  This name symbolizes a lot of things for the Wider team, but the most important meaning comes from the fact that the changes found in the Fulvio De Simoni designed 42 are suggestions of its South of France dealer.  The evolution of the 42 Cote D'Azur are characteristics of a new layout and include mostly the central interchangeable area.  These new solutions now add a larger central dinette which seat up to twelve persons, and an exterior wetbar or optional galley have been fitted.  The galley can be fitted with hob, and a fifty liters fridge on request.  The dinette can also be transformed to a chaise lounge, or a sundeck.  Another less noticable change is also the central console helm which now has been added a space where one can put small items; as mobilphone, sun cream, wallets etc.  The Wider is a two cabin sport cruiser with a day use vocation but thanks to a spacious double berth inside can sleep a couple in good comfort for a weekend trip.  Speeds are up to fifty knots plus with the large Cummins 480hp engines choice.
Technical Data:
LOA - 12.9 m (42.4ft)
Beam - 3.50 m
Beam with opened configuration - 6.60 m
Draft - 0.88 m
Displacement - 6.2 t unloaded, 9 t loaded
Fuel Capacity - 1000 l
Water Capacity - 250 l

Project: Wider 150

Following its first much acclaimed 42 model, Wider presents an important project that of a 150 model.  Designed again by Fulvio De Simoni this model will be a super yacht of important proportions, with styling taking bits from the beginning twentieth century vessel, but characterized by clean lines and taut, smooth surfaces. The size of the stern volumes are exclusive for a yacht of this size and contribute greatly to the pleasure of living in close contact with the sea that this model offers. Each and every detail of the yacht has been studied so those aboard feel they are really in touch with the great outdoors: the large glazed surfaces which open out onto every deck make the interiors light and airy; the position of the master suite on the upper deck means the owner can enjoy a beautiful private terrace as well as privileged access to the flying bridge; lastly, the sundeck, accessed by means of a convenient internal stairway, offers a panoramic, highly reserved area. But transformation is key in many areas especially in the stern.  Standard plan will offer a six double guest cabins, this including an owners apartment on the top deck. Tender space will be for three vessels including a big Wider 35 located aft, plus a car situated on the fore deck.  Power choices are varied, from diesel only to the edition of an electric hybrid set up.  A top speed of 20 knots is being estimated with the max horsepower choice.

New Model: Wider 42

Could we have expected anything less from the founder of Pershing in what is today among the leading brands World wide in the medium Sport Yacht sizes.  This is in synthesis what I think of the revolution that comes from Wider, the new company of Tilli Antonelli which he founded in 2010 and a year later to this launches its innovative first 42 model.  The Wider 42 is many things in one but most of all it is a sport cruiser with super unthinkable day enjoying ability.  Saying it is a revolution is spot on but even this does not synthesize the Wider 42; from its expandable medium deck space, to its Private water craft carrying capability, and a host of innovative features on the electronics front.  Some spaces and capabilities of the Wider 42 are unthinkable for boats even ten feet or more larger, but this is where transformation and geniality come to place. Wider 42 also offers overnight accommodation for two persons in a cabin with shower head located below to fore.  Performance is another achievement of the Wider 42 having fast performance even with standard Yanmar 370hp engines which give a 44 knots max speed.  More to this and a 53 knots top end is given by Cummins 480hp optional choice.  The Wider is everything high technology and modern one could imagine and for this the company already received six orders on paper for the new model, which in today market is something very rare if not impossible.  Now the Wider concept moves on and after this model a 35 with a similar concept to the 42 should follow, and a 50 offering more in the cabin area.  About the last I am very intrigued!

Project: Wider 42

Wider is the new brand founded by Tilli Antonelli, after the ex Pershing boss left the company he formed in 1985 at the start of this year and above is the rendering of its first model the 42. Designed by Fulvio de Simoni for the topsides and concept, and Mark Wilson for the underwater hull shape the Wider 42 seems to continue the recent innovation vain which seems convolve small medium sized boat builders of the shoe shaped peninsula. But do not think that this concept is only innovative for the centre ship which expands 50% of the cockpit space thanks to the expanding of the sides. This is just the visiting ticket! For me the Wider 42 intrigue factor is the centre console, rib, powerboat, and cruiser concept mash up all in one. Other innovations for the Wider 42 will be a new energy saving CAN bus electrical system by Ascon, interiors which will be ultra modern, deck finished by Esthec a material which represents teak in looks and feel but is also fireproof and does not require special maintenance, and a tender launch system which can house a quite large jet bike or rib. Interior wise the 42 will offer a fore peak cabin with a galley, a settee which transforms to a double berth, and a separate shower head. Construction of Wider 42 continues what Antonelli started with Pershing in 1995 of vacuum infusion Scrimp system being used in a carbon fiber and Vinilester resin composite mix. The carbon used in construction will also be visible in some parts like the cabin sides creating artistic elements with this unique material. Wider also reintroduces a concept very much abandoned with hull designer Mark Wilson who is three times powerboat world champion in class P2, and twice in P1 doing the hull of the 42 around racing offshore boats with a two stepped hull and a stem which delivers a minimum angle even at low planning speeds. The Wider brand although new is experienced and joining Antonelli will be Paolo Favilla ex Pershing CEO in 2009, Vincenzo Sulpizi ex Pershing interior designer and project manager, and Laura Carboni also coming from Pershing taking care of public relations. The Wider will also be built in the old Pershing establishment used from 1990 till 2004 in the Marche region, and a 35, and fifty feet models should follow the launch of the 42 which is expected for Genoa.
