Valhalia Boatworks has in June 2025 launched the first hull of the new 55 Sport Yacht. Based on the V-55 center console which arrived in early 2023 the 55 Sport Yacht is redesigned from the super structure up, offering sweet looking modern lines coupled to performance and choices of accommodation layout for both upper and main decks. Powered by four Mercury 600hp outboards the 55 Sport Yacht delivers a fast fifty knots plus top speed, coupled to a stable and efficient ride, along a stunning profile. Her swept-back, four-sided fiberglass pilothouse features tinted windows and a hardtop that extends aft to cover the summer kitchen or bar. A telescoping powered shade, hidden in the hardtop delivers sun protection and comfort in the cockpit. Support arches gracefully project outboard to the coamings.. Boarding platforms outboard of the engines lead to a pair of glass doors that provide cockpit access. Designed for maximum relaxation and outdoor entertaining, the yacht is offered with several different aft deck layouts. Hull No. 1 is appointed with a wraparound lounge and table in the cockpit, paired with an L-shaped summer kitchen along the aft pilothouse bulkhead ,which also includes a port-side door. A summer kitchen with a full-width counter that extends along a solid aft bulkhead is also available with the U-shaped cockpit dinette. The third option boasts an aft dinette with table and facing bench seats, coupled with a bar and three stools, in lieu of the L-shaped summer kitchen. With each of the four configurations, the aft bulkhead has an integrated powered window that opens the pilothouse to the aft deck. Adding to the entertainment is an optional HD TV that drops down from the hardtop underside for aft-deck viewing. The cockpit comes standard with powered fold-down balconies on each side with integrated boarding ladders. An asymmetrical side-deck design allows for increased interior volume; raised starboard side deck accessed via three steps frees up space in the cabin while still providing access forward to tend to dock lines, while the port side walkway is flush with the deck and leads to the bow, where you’ll find a three-person sun-pad and a wraparound lounge with table. The pilothouse is designed to bring the outdoors inside. In addition to the bulkhead window, it features a powered sunroof and port and starboard powered doors that slide aft. They provide full-beam access from the three-person forward control station while also ushering in refreshing breezes. Like our Viking and Valhalla helms, the 55 SY’s control station is streamlined, clean and ergonomically friendly. Three multifunctional displays anchor the raised electronics pod in an impressive all-glass helm design. Visibility through the one-piece windshield is superb. With the solid aft bulkhead option, the pilothouse’s interior is appointed with a full-width raised lounge and table. Alternatively, you have a raised bench seat offset to starboard when the L-shaped summer kitchen with bulkhead door is chosen; and the outdoor bar design boasts a continuation of its counter into the pilothouse. Port-side companionway stairs lead to the feature-packed galley to starboard and comfortable dinette to port (with L-shaped seating that’s convertible to a berth). Standard accommodations include two private staterooms with queen beds. The forward master is appointed with an ensuite head and separate shower. A guest head, also with separate shower, is just forward of the amidships guest stateroom. For extra sleeping accommodations, an optional amidships layout with two berths; double to starboard and a single to port is available. The 55 Sport Yacht has over four thousand litres of fuel for extensive range and is engineered for a Seakeeper for increased comfort. A subsidiary of Viking Yachts, Valhalia Boatworks debuted in 2019 with three center console models from ten to twelve meters on that year, and today offers eight models from 28 to 55 foot.
