Project: Cantiere Delle Marche RJ 155

Cantiere delle Marche is proud to announce the sale of RJ 155, a super explorer yacht to a repeat client. At 47 meters in length RJ 155 is to be the largest yacht to come so far for the Ancona based shipyard, which has become in less to a decade the first address to look in explorer super yachts from 25 to fifty meters in size.  A pure-bred explorer,  RJ 155 belongs to the fortunate RJ series of which already five units have been sold. Despite her elegant line she encompasses all characteristics of an oceangoing explorer yacht: robustness, seaworthiness, long range, generous interior areas for both guests and crew, plenty of storage spaces, fridges and freezers, high-end equipment.  With a robust steel hull and aluminium superstructure, RJ 155’s exterior lines bring the signature of Francesco Paszkowski who penned the entire series. Her interior design will be developed by Achille Salvagni who has been entrusted to design also most of the interior loose furniture. RJ 155 will be indeed a truly custom made yacht where the brilliant minds of these two multi awarded designers will prove once again Cantiere delle Marche to be the absolute leader in building the best and more beautiful Explorer vessels under 499 gross tonnage worldwide.  Her strongly sporty yet sleek appearance was achieved by Paszkowski combining the volume with proportions fluidity. The elongated overhangs of both Sun and Upper deck gives elegance to the profile while allowing the particularly large stern terraces to be almost entirely shaded so that ample veranda-like areas create a seamless connection between the interior of the yacht and its surroundings.  RJ 155 beauty doesn’t lie exclusively in aesthetics: with naval architecture by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec ensuring seaworthiness, comfort and utmost efficiency. She will have a displacement of around 460 tons while the Gross Tonnage remains below 500. Stability will be granted by two couples of top performing electric stabilizers while vibrations produced by rotating machineries will be reduced drastically with the adoption of external thrust bearings.  RJ 155 is to be powered from twin 1200hp Caterpillar which will give a top speed of fifteen knots. Combined with fuel tanks of 65000 litres, RJ 155 as all expedition yachts built by Cantiere delle Marche, will have a remarkable range of above 5000 nautical miles at nine knots cruise. Spread across three decks plus a very large Sundeck, RJ 155 will accommodate up to twelve guests in five suites, four of which are on the lower deck amidships while the Owner suite is located on the main deck forward. The owners asked to have a large and super equipped gym by their apartment room. Extraordinary large outdoor areas entirely dedicated to relaxing and enjoying life en plein air are on both the main and upper deck stern section. Tenders are stored on the upper deck forward while an array of toys such as SUP, electric scooters, bikes, diving equipment are stored in the large lazarette accessed from the swimming platform, a signature feature on Marche's yachts since its beginning.  As is customary on all explorer yachts by CDM, RJ 155 will feature a textbook engine room with adjoining control room.

New Launch: Heesen 80m YN 19480

In late 2021 Heesen launched YN 19480, Project Cosmos at the shipyard in Oss, its new eighty meter custom build flagship which is to be christened Galactica. At 80 metres, with a gross tonnage of 1,700GT and a top speed of almost 30 knots, she is the biggest and fastest all-aluminium yacht ever built. The challenges involved in creating such a large and complex yacht are extreme, but made a perfect fit with Heesen’s history and expertise. Precision aluminium construction, high performance and the finest Dutch craftsmanship are steeped into the DNA of this shipyard. Cosmos is the ultimate expression of Heesen’s ability to build daring projects that stretch the imagination of its engineers and crafts people. Thanks to the dedication of the Heesen teams and the shipyard’s loyal subcontractors, who all worked tirelessly through the pandemic, the yacht was launched on schedule in perfect Dutch style. What makes Project Cosmos so impressive is its immense size combined with a remarkable top speed of almost 30 knots. This is achieved thanks to the lightweight and low-drag hull design, honed to perfection by Heesen’s naval architects on an iteration of the Fast Displacement Hull Form devised by van Oossanen, and assembled, millimetre-perfect, by Heesen’s welders. Ensuring sufficient longitudinal strength was one of the biggest technological challenges facing Heesen’s engineering team, who designed and patented the Backbone,  an intricate full-length structural reinforcement system. Power comes from traditional, if highly refined, diesel propulsion of four MTU 4830hp  engines, two gearboxes, variable-pitch propellers and ultra-innovative Promas rudders. Cosmos’s elegant exterior comes from the renowned British studio of Winch Design. Clean lines, a sporty silhouette and the extensive use of glass create a timeless, dynamic profile, which will look as good in twenty years as it does today at launch. Sinot is responsible for the light and soothing interior design that makes guests feel at home from the moment they step aboard. While the overall palette is neutral, splashes of a range of blue hues are infused into the design throughout. The piece de rĂ©sistance is undoubtedly the beach club, with its side and stern platforms. The backlit onyx bar with centrally positioned seating is the focal point of this ample and airy space close to the water. With the size, weight and performance of Project Cosmos so intimately connected, Sinot collaborated closely with Heesen’s in-house engineers to ensure that their stringent weight calculations were always met. Following her launch, Project Cosmos remained at Heesen for commissioning before undergoing intense sea trials in the North Sea commencing in February. She was delivered to her owners in Spring 2022 but no pictures have appeared as yet of the new Heesen eight meter flagship in navigation.

Project: Princess Y80

Princess present the project for an all new Y80, a pocket super yacht designed by Pininfarina for external lines with Olesinski doing naval architecture.  The new Princess Y80 is a totally new yacht being a foot wider and a meter longer to the replacing Y78 launched in 2020, and follows similar lines to the Y72 presented in 2021 and one of the current best sellers from the Plymouth boat builder.  The Y80 has an standard interior with a main deck open galley layout, while the lower deck offers the standard plan of four double cabins with owners stateroom to midships.  For those wanting a more traditional main deck Princess will offer separate galley layout as is the same for the lower pilot house which can be split with optional partitions.  Another option in the Princess Y80 will be for the aft deck, which standard is in the traditional U-shaped dinette looking forward, but can be ordered in what is called the Infinity cockpit with opposite bench settees and uninterrupted aft views with a balustrade glass bulkhead.  Crew accommodation is for three persons in two cabins aft.  The Princess Y80 is to be powered by twin Man 1800hp with estimated top speeds up to 32 knots.

Project: Sanlorenzo SD90

Sanlorenzo present the project of the SD90, a new entry level model in its traditional ship looking semi displacement range which was announced during the Venice boat show in May 2022. Sanlorenzo SD range launched in 2007 with the SD92, and since then it has never looked back, a success from the start with the first model selling 24 units.  Designed by Zuccon, with Phillipe Briand doing hull engineering, the SD90 will offer an accommodation layout sleeping eight in four cabins, with an owners stateroom located on the main deck.  The Sanlorenzo SD90 will offer a full beam wide body forward area for an owners stateroom on the main deck, which integrates well into the design of the yacht.  There is a certain equilibrium with the SD90 all looking very traditional and yet when one puts all together it all comes down to a modern yacht.  There is also a huge research in recyclable materials used in hull number one, which along with a hybrid electric propulsion by Siemens, this optional version marked /s makes it as one of the most ecological yachts in its size.  The Sanlorenzo SD90 is standard powered by twin Man 800hp or optional Cats 1150hp engines with speeds expected to reach seventeen knots.  The SD90/s Siemens hybrid version will cruise at six knots in electric only mode, and ten knots in hybrid.

New Model: Galeon 800 Fly

Galeon present its largest build to date with the launch of its new 800 Fly model.  Designed by Tony Castro both outside and inside and measuring 25 meters over all, the new Galeon 800 Fly flagship replaces and surpasses the 780 Crystal launched in 2011 as the largest build to date by the Polish builder.  Once looking at the details one would also notice that the 800 Fly is an evolution of the previous 780 flagship.  Going against Galeon recent trends the 800 Fly sees the Polish builder and Castro taking a conservative approach, opening side bulkheads as the smaller models are not featured in the 800, and no central passageway from the interior to the fore deck of the main deck as in the 640 model.  As layouts go the 800 Fly offers a traditional four double cabins layout with a master stateroom at midships.  Two crew cabins with a small lobby and entrance from the bathing platform is located aft.  The Galeon 800 Fly is standard powered by twin Man 1650hp engines and or optional 1920hp MTU and anything in between.  The Galeon 800 Fly is selling already well with five units reported under construction and next delivery date for 2024, against only two 780 Crystal reported build in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Project: Wally Why150

Emerging hot on the heels of Wally’s first full-wide-body yacht, the game-changing Why200 which took the industry by storm in September 2021, the latest yacht in the WallyWhy range has been revealed by the visionary Monaco-based brand: the WallyWhy150. The Why150 was created by Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering, while Studio A. Vallicelli and C penned her interior design. Great emphasis has been given to all of her exterior areas, where the masterful use of the outdoor space allows her to offer in the sundeck a complete dining option and a bar/kitchen with grill, fridges and all the open-air living amenities at sea. Another important feature of the wallywhy150 can be found on the main deck aft, where the full-beam interior saloon is on the same level as the cockpit down to sea level, creating a close sense of connection with the water. Many of the standout design features introduced on the WallyWhy200 have also been applied to this new model. These include her full wrap-around glass on the main deck, with the high bow presenting a 270-degree view from the unique forward master cabin. First premiered to the world on board the wallywhy200, Why150 will be the first 24 meter yacht in its size range to exhibit this feature. New Model: Horizon FD110 Tri-deck

Horizon Yachts is pleased to announce that the first tri-deck FD110 has launched and has made her U.S. debut. The new FD110 is the largest build to date from the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement FD Series that has become renowned for its pioneering high-volume interior and unrivaled stability and performance. The Series characteristic full-height windows running from bow to stern punctuate the exterior styling of the tri-deck yacht, whose striking presence is further amplified by its elongated exterior deck areas. Guests of the yacht are welcomed via Besenzoni passerelle to the aft deck that spans the yacht’s beam and conveys a presence indicative of a much larger build. A spacious seating area here with both fixed and loose furniture is served by a full bar with two bar stools to starboard. A Hi/Lo extendable table allows for the space to convert into a dining area protected with a sun shade aft. Entertainment and relaxation are the emphasis of the FD110’s design, and through the fully opening salon doors, the main salon provides a voluminous oasis where a large L-shaped seating area invite conversation and enjoyment of the views through the large windows. A conveniently situated day head services both the interior and exterior on this deck, and a convertible dining table serves a multifunctional role as both a breakfast bar and a formal interior dining table. Sliding glass doors provide an al fresco feel to the dining area, and sculptural overhead lighting by Italian firm Slamp punctuates the rich, sophisticated interior dĂ©cor highlighted by washed wenge wood with dark oak and walnut accents. Forward, a fully-equipped professional galley gleaming with beautiful Cambria stone can be open or completely closed off from the guest areas for privacy. Drawing its inspiration for the luxurious interior from trending residential design, the style throughout emphasizes natural finishes, subtle coloring and clean, modern elements. Stained walnut mimics the coziness of aged wood, while muted lacquer in French grey lightens up the tone overall. Polished chrome accents and splashes of lively colors round out a design that is both warm and elegant. One of the signature design features of the FD Series is the on-deck master stateroom, and that aboard the new FD110 does not disappoint. Expansive views from the large windows to port and starboard surround the king-sized bed, and a spacious his-and-hers ensuite with a grand shower is positioned forward. On the lower deck, four further ensuite staterooms comprise two mirrored VIPs amidships, a convertible twin to port and a third VIP in the bow. A spacious dedicated laundry room conveniently serves this area. Aft, the air-conditioned engine room houses the yacht’s machinery and twin Cat 1900hp engines. Crew quarters for up to six are situated furthest aft and include a double Captain’s cabin and crew mess. A large storage locker features a hydraulic door that accesses the yacht’s full-beam Hi/Lo swim platform. An internal stairway conveniently links the crew area with the aft deck above. Thoughtfully designed for entertainment and relaxation, the FD110 offers enviable areas for both on the bridge and upper decks. The enclosed skylounge offers plentiful seating as well as a wet bar with a wine cooler and a day-head aft. Equipped with custom Garmin navigation equipment and twin helm chairs, the forward wheelhouse features a Hi/Lo window and door, allowing the space to be open to or closed off from the skylounge as desired. Twin wing stations assist in docking and the yacht’s walkaround side decks lead to the forward entertainment area and boat deck aft.

Project: Amer 950

Amer present the project for a new entry level 950 super yacht.  Coming from a design of Ganto studio the Amer 950 also marks Permare first fifty years of activity and ten years of IPS system installation and collaboration with Volvo. A hull that deviates from the traditional lines of Amer to favor generous internal and external spaces, following the concept of adaptability and high comfort of the wide body main deck with a suspended flybridge as introduced with the 120 flagship launched in 2021, and here repeated on a smaller scale. The Amer 950 responds to a stylistic need that favors airy and generous spaces, side and bow balconies, connected to the master on the main deck, which allow continuous ventilation of the spaces on board and views from all angles. The width of the flybridge and its versatility are an interpretation of living navigation and anchoring in the bays from a privileged point and in total privacy, giving the feeling of walking on a stage overlooking the sea. On board the Amer 950 has an integration of systems that makes it extremely simple to use: from dynamic mooring to easy connection and the setup for easy mooring. The hull has a design that foresees onboard energy efficiency and the insertion of solar panels that take advantage of the flat surfaces. The flexibility of Cantiere Permare gives space to the creativity of demanding owners to design with four or five cabins layout available. The Amer 950 was created to be powered by twin Volvo 1000hp engines with IPS pod drives, good for 26 knots max and a 24 cruise with low fuel consumption and ample autonomy.  For those who want more performance a triple 1000hp engines version is also available.

New Model: Azimut Grande 26M

Catch me if you can, Azimut's story for over three decades as it re-invents motor yachting in various forms and sizes and in design and engineering.  This new Grande 26M follows that script for the others to follow.  Replacing the nimble and sporty 25M as the baby Grande, opening the door to the big Azimut super yachts build in Viareggio, the Grande 26M comes with two important innovations; a selling one the Flex Deck, and a technical one thanks to the use of new ZF pod drives as propulsion.  The Flex Deck is the selling innovation expanding the aft deck area with the beach/garage area door going up and extending the floor, and creating a terrace on the water.  The second innovation, the technical one is the use of ZF pod drives.  Back in 2009 Azimut was heavily involved in testing the ZF pod drives with reported tests going on a 62S fitted with ZF4000 and twin 1200hp engines.  Somehow the 62S with ZF never materialized, and the 62S Italia ended up remaining on shafts and Azimut switching to triple IPS on later S models.  The results of those tests seem to have arrived, with the new Grande 26M fitted with new large ZF pod drives which look to be an exclusive to Azimut for the moment finally arriving on a production yacht.  Azimut is saying that thanks to its search for light weight materials and efficient propulsion the 26M Grande delivers 20% less consumption to similar sized yachts.

New Model: Sanlorenzo SL120 Asymmetric

Sanlorenzo continues the Asymmetric philosophy a concept as introduced by Chris Bangle in 2018 with the SL102, and now this finds its way to the new flagship of the SL line the 120 model.  An evolution and replacement to the SL118 delivered in eleven units, the SL120 Asymmetric uses the same hull as the previous SL flagship produced till 2020, with a total overhaul of space usage on the main deck.  Like the small 90 to 106 feet sister the new SL flagship features a semi-wide body to port side adding space in this area by about 30%, with the SL120 different to the smaller yachts by a full wide body on the forward part of the main deck, this giving more space to the owners stateroom located here.  Four VIP suites are located on the lower deck, while the forward part here features the crew lobby with a galley and four cabins.  The aft area is fully dedicated to a huge garage with water toys and the openable beach club with bulkheads which flip to the sides to double the bathing area.  For those looking into detail, there is also a redesign of the fore-peak of the main deck, which now features a C-shaped dinette and another large V-shaped sun-pad.  The Sanlorenzo SL120 Asymmetric hull one launched in the second half of 2021 is powered by the twin large MTU 2637hp engines good for 27 knots max, and a long range speed of ten knots allows to cover about 1900 nautical miles.  The Sanlorenzo 120 Asymmetric has already proved a success with fourteen hulls reported on order and delivery dates entering 2025.

Project: Ocea 108 Commuter

Ocea shipyard in Les Sables d’Olonne is following the construction of the 108 Commuter, a fresh custom order for a 32 meter super yacht ordered in 2021 and designed by Pierre Frutschi, who also designed the previous last build the Commuter 90 launched in 2016. Ocea 108 Commuter will be the tenth yacht build by the French yacht builder and fourth 108, last of which hull number five launched in 2008 and shares hull dimensions with this new build and hull number four. The first 108 which launched in 2004 was a bit shorter and slimmer to the following units. Like previous Ocea, hull number ten is a custom build meeting the owner’s expectations in terms of equipment and space configuration, while relying on a time-tested design and proven solutions. In the spirit of all Ocea yachts, this alumimium ocean-going yacht will also be capable of circumnavigations in optimal comfort and safety. The Ocea 108 Commuter will also reduce the yacht's environmental footprint, in particular its greenhouse gas emissions, was the guiding principle behind the entire design. As a result, this will be the first Ocea with engines that meet IMO Tier III emission standards, allowing it to sail in Emission Control Areas defined by the International Maritime Organization. The yacht will also be equipped with the latest generation of batteries to keep the main on-board comfort features running at night without the need for generators. Ocea 108 Commuter will offer accommodation for eight guests in four staterooms, with crew accommodation for four in two cabins. Power will come from twin MTU 600hp engines, good for about fifteen knots max, twelve knots cruise, while an economic ten knots will give a range of four thousand nautical miles.

With peerless originality and class, the new Corsaro Super has even more impressive dimensions: 102 feet of majesty and new style accents that breathe life into an unprecedented masterpiece of yacht design, ready to leave a glorious mark in the history of the flybridge range. The new features of the Corsaro Super are once again the work of since 1992 Riva designers Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design, working in partnership with the Strategic Product Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The many new features include the design of the superstructure and the hull, which have both been completely renewed based on a contemporary sport concept that sees direct contact with the water as the supreme pleasure of going to sea. The new Riva 102 Corsaro Super is over thirty meters in length overall and has a beam of almost seven. Her distinctive silhouette reaches out like an arrowhead, giving the yacht a sleek and assertive profile. Aft, new glass fashion plates improve the vessel's aerodynamics. New dimensions and optimized spaces revolutionize how time is spent on board. Functionality, maximum livability and ever more direct contact with the water are the guiding principles behind all the new features, such as the option to install special gunwales that swing out on either side of the main deck to create exclusive terraces with a panoramic view, increasing the volume of the external walkways without affecting the vessel’s elegant profile. With three decks and five cabins for ten guests, the promise of the new Corsaro Super is to dominate the sea, not only from almost one hundred square meters of livable open-air spaces, but also from the interiors, thanks to over 140 square meters of magnificent glazing and glass surfaces that reduce the barriers to visual contact with the natural world. In more detail, the glazing in the owner suite has been redesigned and extended to two meters in length from the 100 Corsaro, amplifying the sense of space that is a distinctive feature of the widebody configuration and offering a breathtaking view on both sides of the yacht. One of the highlights of the 102 Corsaro Super, is the complete redesign of the stern area on the main deck. This entire space will be configured as an extended 35-square-metre beach club dedicated to conviviality and comfort. The interior design also features some major innovations. In the main living area, two different layouts are available for the owner to choose from. The first has a focus on the dining space, with a table seating eight in the stern area, while the lounge is central and maintains visual contact with the outside world through extensive windows that open onto the lateral walkways. In the second layout, the lounge and large sofas are in the area first encountered on entering the saloon, while the dining space is central. The interior dĂ©cor juxtaposes original textures that express the yacht’s unmistakable personality and appeal. The dominant wood is Canaletto walnut. Its warm tones are set off by the innovative pairing with satin effect titanium ceilings or, alternatively, by the introduction of glass surfaces and cool colors. The new Riva 102’ Corsaro Super is powered by twin 2435hp for a top speed of 26 knots, while optional 2638hp give a bump of plus two knots to reach 28 knots. Aldready five units of the Riva 102 Corsaro Super are reported sold with the model set to debut in September at 2022 Cannes boat show.

Project: Heesen 57m Project Akira

Heesen has started the construction of YN 20457, Project Akira, beginning at the Oss shipyard on February 9, formally witnessed by the American Bureau of Shipping surveyor. Project Akira is the first in a new class of high-speed alumimium yachts by Heesen. At 57 meters, with an enclosed volume of approximately 780 GT, she sports a lightweight ultra-efficient FDHF hull that will give her a top speed of 22 knots with twin MTU engines.  The all-alumimium hull is the latest refinement of the patented Fast Displacement Hull Form, devised by Dutch hydrodynamicists Van Oossanen and further engineered by Heesen’s naval architects. Thanks to her low-drag underwater body, Akira is fast yet highly economical, needing less power and using up to half the fuel of a conventional steel displacement yacht of the same size. Thanks to her shallow draft of just 2.3 meters, she is also a go-anywhere yacht, perfect for the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas or shallow inshore anchorages in the Mediterranean.  For this new breed of yacht, Heesen appointed long-term partner Frank Laupman of Omega Architects for the exterior design. Her lines are characterized by a shapely profile, a gently raked bow, and bold fashion plates. A standout feature is the distinctive scalloped transom to increase the size of the large fixed swim platform, which will make her instantly identifiable in any marina.  When it came to Akira’s 400 sqm of luxury interior space, Heesen's engineering department worked with Harrison Eidsgaard from the very beginning to develop the general arrangement – a decision that led to a step-change in the way the design was approached.  The interior dĂ©cor allows Akira’s owners to express their taste and customize the yacht to fit their lifestyle. Twelve guests are accommodated in six suites. The 63 sqm owner’s stateroom occupies the main deck forward and comprises a study, the bedroom with his-and-hers closets, and a full-beam bathroom with bathtub and shower stall. Four double suites are found on the lower deck, while the VIP cabin is up on the bridge deck. All decks are served by the glass elevator. Outdoor spaces are carefully conceived to offer the ultimate experience of life at sea. Large windows create connectivity between indoors and out. From dining al fresco on the upper aft terrace, to the vast sundeck with its jacuzzi, and from the forward seating area on the bridge deck down to the beach club, owners and guests will always find the perfect place to relax.  Project Akira is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2024.

Princess Yacht Ends Beached in Calvi After Storm

A 26 meter Princess super yacht named m/y Vista Me ended beached on Calvi Beach in Corsica during a storm on the night between Friday twelfth and Saturday thirteen August.  The storm with gale winds and torrential rains, reached forty knots or Force Eight Beaufort scale winds.  Vista Me cut its swing mooring lines, and along with six other sailing yachts ended beached on Calvi Beach.  Twelve hours after the storm all yachts with the exception of Vista Me where refloated by SNSM voluntary corps, with the Princess super yacht needing further inspection and work for refloating to minimize further damage.
Vista Me is a 2019 Princess Y85, designed by Pininfarina for exterior and naval architecture by Olesinski.  The Princess Y85 has a four double cabins accommodation and is powered by twin Man 1900hp engines which give her a top speed up to 31 knots.  Still in production today the Y85 was introduced in 2019 with the model receiving a full hull window update in 2022, and so far 32 hulls have been produced.

New Model: Benetti B.Yond 37m

In an emotional and awaited ceremony held on July 4 at the Livorno shipyard, Benetti launched the brand’s new four-deck B.Yond 37m.  Worth to add this ceremony was emotional in many ways first of all because this was the last project of Stefano Righini before he left to the better World on October 2021, and second because of  the innovation the B.Yond 37m represents.  Unlike Benetti of recent years in this size B.Yond 37m is build of steel, with an alumimium super structure. Worth to note that metal represented a huge step in the success of the Benetti onwards of the 1950s, with most of the custom Italian yards of the time still building of wood. The B.Yond 37m is innovative for its E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy which makes it possible to optimize on-board energy consumption according to specific usage profiles, which translates into unprecedented CO2 and NOx emissions reductions for a yacht in this category. The B.Yond 37M is the world’s greenest boat in its class, combining SCR catalytic filters, a gas control technology that uses a urea-based liquid solution already adopted in the automotive industry for Euro 6D diesel engines, with the innovative E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy, which is based on a crew-friendly integrated add-on architecture built on top of a traditional system. The result is extremely simple management, with switching possible from mechanical to electric propulsion and vice versa without the intervention of specialized personnel on board. This innovative solution offers the freedom of four different operating modes, including the standout Full Electric mode for zero emission navigation, an exclusive plus that allows B.Yond 37M to enter protected marine areas or those normally off-limits to motor yachts. The lithium battery pack also makes it possible to stay at anchor in Hotel Mode with zero emissions, keeping the generators switched off and running the main on-board utilities from the batteries. This translates into time spent at anchor in harmony with nature, immersed in vibration-free silence. With the new generation of high energy density batteries, the 300 kW/h pack will provide up to 8 hours of autonomy at anchor during the day and 12 hours at night. The batteries recharge in just three hours. Estimating an average annual use of 1,000 hours, of which 400 under way and the rest at anchor, fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24% and NOx by a maximum of 85%. All this plus the added value of an incredible range almost double that of traditional explorer super yacht of the same size, or up to 8,200 nautical miles at 9 knots in Eco Transfer mode, with the two diesel-generators switched off and only one propulsion engine running, which reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 16% and NOx emissions by up to 80% compared with traditional propulsion systems. The B.Yond 37m comes from a revolutionary concept devised by Stefano Righini, who brings all his creative flair into play, features the inclusion of a fourth deck, which makes it possible to raise all the most noble areas of the yacht and gives them an incredible panoramic view. The service area on the Lower Deck includes a walk-in wine cellar and a cold room, unusual features on a boat this size. The Main Deck provides the night area for guests, offering four suites accessed from a panoramic lounge featuring generous windows, which Benetti calls the Playroom. Stepping up onto the Upper Deck, the living area offers a completely unobstructed 360-degree view. Moving up still further, the Bridge Deck is set aside for the owner, while the Sun Deck provides a dining area with a pantry and an outdoor table sheltered by a hard top. Two stairways, one for guests and one for crew, provide completely separate flows, ensuring total privacy for both owner and guests. The layout is extremely flexible: the Main Deck, in addition to four guest suites that are particularly spacious for a 37-meter yacht, can optionally contain either the master cabin or the Playroom with a panoramic view. The Bridge Deck can accommodate, on request, either the master cabin or a panoramic veranda. On the Lower Deck, the gym can be replaced by a sixth guest cabin. Another important new feature is the double accommodation solution for the captain, with a full-size cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse and another very spacious one adjoining the crew quarters. If the captain chooses to use the cabin closest to the wheelhouse, the other one could become a seventh guest cabin. The spacious garage contains a 6.5-meter tender for the owner, a 4.2-meter rescue boat and two jet skis, for the first time in a protected and out of sight area. The white steel hull and aluminum superstructure express the personality and elegance of B.Yond 37M, complemented by stainless steel railings also painted white and finished with teak handrails, in an unusual but highly effective stylistic feature. The hull was designed by Pierluigi Ausonio’s firm P.L.A.N.A. Open and spacious, the interior design by Benetti architect Mauro Izzo offers even more potential for customization, allowing the owner to express their own taste and personality on a yacht to live on as if it were a second home. This spirit has been captured to perfection by leading contemporary design brand Giorgetti, chosen by Benetti to provide the furnishings for the first B.Yond 37M, with solutions that accommodate all the owner’s requests in an embodiment of beauty and functionality expressed through haut de gamme quality. The fine materials chosen feature a palette of natural colors, enhanced by touches of blue provided by the fabrics and accessories, standing out against the optical white walls and echoing the color of the sea. Giorgetti’s refined and sophisticated language runs through all the yacht’s decks, telling the story of the brand’s prowess in designing spaces that form part of an overarching vision.  The Benetti B.Yond 37m was already a success with eight units sold and under construction before hull one even touched the water in July.
