New Model: Fipa Maiora 35 Exuma

Following the great rewarded success of the Maiora 36 Harmony and 30 Walkaround, Gruppo Fipa presents a brand-new 2020 model: the 35 Exuma.   This new 35 meters super yacht features impressive and innovative solutions in order to provide all the guests with an unforgettable cruising and living experience on board.  Refreshing light that embraces all spaces harmoniously, excellent maneuverability, amazing low draft for shallow waters, smooth cruising, as well as total privacy guaranteed for everyone: this is what you find on board 35 Exuma.  In this unique work, Fipa Maiora meets the demanding and challenging requirements of the client and the result is a super personal motor yacht with a helm station located at the bow of the main deck: this is an exclusive area for the Captain that can be easily reached from his accommodation. You will find the other helm station, completely redundant, on the well-designed flybridge. The Maiora 35 Exuma is designed for an experienced seaman who loves the sea-life and cruising for long journey. This perfect solution allows the owner to leave the control-station whenever he wants to, just to take some time for himself and enjoy the beautifully-sized saloon located on the upper convertible flybridge. The huge drop down windows, as well as the stern door which totally opens up and “disappears”, turn a closed space, where you can comfortably have lunch, into a completely open area where you can enjoy a cocktail at the golden hour or have dinner with family and guests under the stars, thanks to the sliding “moon-roof”.  The interiors of Maiora 35 Exuma are sober and elegant, in order to reflect the style of her Owner: wengè, walnut, oak wood meet with their different shades to create an incisive and intense contrast. You will experience a sophisticated atmosphere also thanks to the glossy grey and absolute black laquer that feature the galley; while matt darker laquer of grey stone tones are used for both crew and master heads.  The wide main salon is largely enriched by a unique piece of furniture: it is a superb slate cellar placed at the entrance and aimed to preserve bottles of wine and the owner’s precious tequila collection. This really gives a touch of uniqueness.  The outside areas are featured by Paola Lenti furniture that harmonically come together with the open-air spaces and al-fresco aft cockpit.  Maiora 35 Exuma can accommodate up to eleven guests: the master stateroom is on the main deck and is featured by a floor-to-ceiling wide window. Four cabins are located on the lower deck, including another shipowner’s cabin placed longitudinally to enjoy the sight at its best. To finish the lower deck layout, two double bed cabins and a double cabin with pullman berth: all these cabins are equipped with TV which comfortably fold down from the ceilings and all the beds are strategically placed to offer the best sight of the sea, thanks to the large windows inside the cabins. Finally, the crew quarters can accommodate up to five members.   Maiora 35 Exuma is powered by two MJP waterjets and a central booster jet, powered by three Caterpillar 1925hp engines. The combination of the waterjet propulsion and the innovative design of the hull allow to reach a top speed of 35 knots in total comfort and with no vibrations on board.  Cruising is extremely efficient up to 28-30 knots, while at the economical speed of 10 knots, the 35 Exuma has an impressive range of about 1600 nautical miles, with a fuel capacity of 22,000 litres. Despite the great performances, absolute comfort is always guaranteed by two Seakeeper 35 gyroscopic stabilizers, designed to reduce the rolling of the ship up to 95%, both underway and at anchor.  In addition, the owner asked to extend the concept of comfort also to the toys: placing the garage on one side makes extremely easy the launch of a six meter tender.  It is unusual to find a big tender on a 35 meter super yacht. The Owner, in this way, can easily reach exclusive beaches or take his guests to the harbor without any problem. The crew has a dedicated four meter tender for their own service.  The Maiora 35 Exuma resembles the super yacht for those who want to enjoy the sun and the on-board life in long distance cruises, have fun, discover wonderful places and hidden landscapes. Thanks to a draft of less then two meters she is ideal to explore the waters and beaches of Cat Island, Abacos, Paradise Island and, indeed, Exumas.  Maiora 35 Exuma has just been launched this July 2020, and will first cruise the Mediterranean, before heading to the Bahamas.

Maiora New Web Site

Maiora from Italy updates its World wide web showroom to a new platform.  Located in what is known as the global Yacht building capital, in Viareggio Italy, Maiora was founded in 1971 a  model line name Intercantieri of Viareggio gives to its motor cruisers and yachts from eleven to 25 meters.  In 1988, Fipa which was founded in 1980 by still today owner Franceso Guidetti, acquired Intercantieri and the Maiora name.  Guildetti entered the boating business in 1970 building fibreglass hulls and parts for third parties.  Today Gruppo Fipa apart Maiora consists of three other brands; AB Yachts, CBI Navi, and Intermare, this last being a metal carpentry division.  All the Fipa brands are located in Italy, Tuscany in or close to Viareggio. Maiora had a lot of success in the nineties and early two thousand with the clean and modern design done in cooperating with Roberto del Re proving to be very successful, especially with the 1992 launched 20 model which was produced for over two decades and delivered in over eighty units with very minor changes. Today the Maiora range consists of eight models from a new upcoming 20 S model to a 46 Royale flagship, styled by Gruppo Fipa design department with Quartostile giving design consultations.  Quartostile took collaborative design duties with Maiora in 2016, taking over from Roberto del Re who assisted from the founding in 1971 up till 2015. New Model: Fipa Maiora 30 Walkaround

During the 2019 Cannes boat show Maiora presented its new 30 Walkaround model, a thirty meters super yacht with a load line just under 24 meters, which allows it to be piloted by a standard yacht master licence.  I think at this moment the Maiora 30 Walkaround is one of the largest less to 24 meters load line super yachts available.  The Maiora 30 Walkaround is a two deck and raised pilothouse super yacht with five guest cabins, owners stateroom in main deck and four guest below deck including a full beam midships VIP suite.  Hull one of the Maiora 30 Walkaround featured an interior by Fossati.  The Walkaround means that the Maiora 30 has no wide body section, a design  detail which in recent years is popular in 25 meters plus super yacht, in order to expand the master stateroom on the forward part of the main deck, but loses the practicality of the traditional fore to aft deck.  The Maiora 30 Walkaround is powered by twin Cat 1925hp engines which allow for top speeds up to 25 knots.

Project: Fipa Maiora 30 WA

Maiora continues its evolutionary process which started in 2016 with the 36 model and design duties moving from the long standing Roberto del Re to Quartostile.  Three years down the line and Maiora is currently building the 30 meter WA for walk around model.  The WA designation comes from the fact that unlike most recent new launches in this size, this new Maiora 30 features a traditional full walk around deck.  The new Maiora follows design duties by Quartostile from Turin.   Hull one of the new Maiora 30 will feature a four double guest cabins interior layout with an owners stateroom on the main deck.  The interior is designed and styled by Fossati Design Bureau from Turin. The Maiora 30 WA is powered by twin Cats 1800hp which will allow for a top speed of 25 knots and a fast cruise of 22 knots, while a ten knots long range cruise allows for 1150 nautical miles.

New Model: Fipa Maiora 36 FB

The coming years will be interesting times at Fipa Maiora as the company and its famous line of motor and super yachts enters a new era with exterior styling design duties now taken care by Quartostile from Turin.  Quartostile will face an interesting challenge taking duty from the long standing Roberto del Re who gave the Viareggio builder an important timeless identity from the eighties onward, and created with the 20 model launched in early nineties an irresistible contemporary design which lasted production and success for over twenty years.  Maiora and Quartostile will revamp the whole line and currently the Viareggio builder has also commissioned projects for a currently in build 26, 30, 42 and 46 meter models.  Interesting to note that Maiora new models over thirty meters will be available with the Royale triple deck version.  Also following Maiora history I think its possible to see more flexibility to these as the FB full-body variant and also more sleek non raised house pilot house versions for the smaller units.  As all Maioras the new 36 FB hull one is custom build to order and the Viareggio builder declares it to be one of the most spacious yachts in its size.  Internal layout is for five guest cabins with the owners stateroom located on the full body forward part of the main deck.  Crew accommodation is for five berths in three cabins. Maiora 36 FB is powered by twin MTU 2600hp which reaches a top speed of 30 knots and can cruise at 26 knots.  Long range capability is for 1100 nautical miles at a twelve knots speed.

Project: Fipa Maiora 26

It is apparent that Fipa Maiora is on a restyling phase which started with the project for the new 36 designed by Quartostile presented in the second part of 2016 and currently under construction for a 2017 launch.  Now after the 36, Fipa is presenting another new project for a raised pilot house super yacht Maiora 26 model.  As is usual with Maiora the 26 will feature traditional Italian yacht lines with futuristic design touches. This will be an interesting phase for Fipa Maiora, and again we will see something similar to when the 20 Maiora was launched in the early nineties, and its success making the builder evolve all the line inspired from this important for it motor yacht model.

Project: Fipa Maiora 36

Fipa Maiora has always been a conservative name when launching new projects, and here we see the Viareggio builder come with a 36 model which presents a change. It is a change of evolution but since a very long time Fipa Maiora enroll a new designer and move on from the long standing Roberto del Re to Quartostile from Torino, Italy.  The new designers trusted by Fipa Maiora have come with interesting evolutionary developments for the new 36.  For example on the new 36 we see a similar semi wide body design as presented on the 2016 launched 33 FB.  The Maiora 36 hull one is currently in build and is to be powered by twin MTU 2600hp engines.

New Model: Fipa Maiora 33FB

The timeless and elegant Maiora brand, in its continuous search for innovation and perfection announces the launch of the new 33FB.  Its planing hull made of fiberglass, with soft and flowing lines, will allow a comfortable sail even in rough sea conditions and reaches thanks to twin MTU 2600hp engines the maximum speed of 28 knots.  Stepping on board, on the main deck, the saloon is airy, with a lot of natural light coming from large windows, and furnished with two comfortable sofas and armchairs that create the lounge area.  An open wall separates the lounge area from the dining area allowing the spread of light all over the room, to avoid the feeling of closed spaces.  Going towards the bow, there is a fully equipped spacious and light filled galley, with white lacquered furniture.  The owner's area, which is located forward part of the main deck, occupies the full beam of the vessel and is characterized by large windows and warm colors of the decor. The bed head is decorated with geometric patterns created with different materials, which make the environment sophisticated and precious.  Careful planning and meticulous attention to details makes the interior design elegant and cozy, giving the visitor a warm feeling of well being and relaxation.  The warm tones of the dark oak floor, together with the essences of the lining in dove-gray color are combined with the light tones of fabrics giving the room a warm joy of serenity and warmth.  On the lower deck is two spacious guest cabins full of light with two single beds each, and two spacious VIP cabins which give privacy to all guests on board, offering moments of relaxation. The crew area is located at the bow and is accessible through the galley, and it is organized with a dinette, three cabins, two bathrooms and the laundry.  The incredible outdoor spaces are fully optimized in the 33FB to enjoy life in the open air. The large flying bridge is furnished with a comfortable sofa which combined with a full size bar make a fantastic lounge area offering additional entertainment and relaxation for guests. In the bow area of the flying bridge, a complete control station allows guests to enjoy the navigation in open air.  The aft cockpit features a comfortable dining table to enjoy meals in company and "en plein air" during navigation.  On the bow, when the hatch opens it, reveals a beach house elegantly furnished. In this area, two comfortable sun beds, give the guests the chance to enjoy navigation in complete relax while looking at wonderful panoramas.

New Model: Fipa Maiora 29 Convertible

With her black hull and white superstructure, this is the new Maiora 29 Convertible.  This new Fipa Maiora presents a new perspective on the 29 model series, and also shows the great length of customization from the Italian Viareggio boat builder.  The Maiora 29 Convertible innovation is located in the enclosed flybridge, which takes half of the fly deck leaving the rest open.  The enclosed bridge is alco connected to the open area thanks to a sliding patio door.  As is usual to Maiora a high degree of customization is also show in all area of this latest 29 Convertible from the interiors of this yacht finished in canaletto walnut and white lacquered oak, to the chosen different layout: which shows it from the saloon which is furnished with spacious sofas and a concealed TV, there is the access to the master cabin which is made independent with its own private entrance. A day head is located at the saloon entrance, with access from both the inside and outside which further differentiates the Maiora Convertible from other similar 29 models launched in the past. Furthermore, the main deck also features a galley, the bridge and stairs giving access to guest accommodation. This area boasts two double VIP cabins and one twin cabin with sliding beds which enables single beds to be transformed into a double.  The Convertible enclosed fly is furnished with comfortable sofas and this same lounge zone can be transformed into a spacious dining area. In front there is a piece of furniture housing a concealed TV and a cooking plan. The upper helm is also very comfortable and spacious. A sliding door separates the inside and outside areas and it faces a huge sunbathing area from which one can access an "infinity pool" with a glass backside which gives the impression to swim while suspended in space. Two diving boards deploy to the sides and allow the water games to extend from the pool directly to the sea. The cockpit, which rightly deserves its "party cockpit" designation, has been enlarged to the maximum to obtain an enormous space capable of accommodating twelve guests around the table, in addition to the sofa and lounge chair area which is also there for guests' entertainment. On the other side, another lounge area featuring sofas and a table has been installed on the foredeck. Finally, a comfortable five meter tender is housed in the stern garage.

Improve-it = Fipa Maiora 29

Efficient Propulsion, this is how the Viareggio based Italian yard Fipa Maiora named its latest 29 model launch which has mostly the exterior lines similar to the previous sister ships of this line with the rest being quite a revolution for the yachting industry. This new Fipa Maiora 29 will feature the use of Fortjes 4000 Reintjes pod drives in replacement to the standard line shafts used usually on this model, which in combination with 1920hp MTU should save about 30% in consumption at cruise of 23 knots.  Top speed for this new Fipa Maiora 29 is 28 knots.  Another feature of this Maiora 29 is the use of active fin stabilizers for better stability at anchor and under way.  Constructed in Kevlar this particular new Maiora 29 was finished with bleached grey oak, matched with Ivory colored leathers interior.  Four double cabins serve the owners and his guest, with the master stateroom located to midships.  Two crew cabins with a small galley, and relaxing sofa are located to midships in between the engine room and owners stateroom.  This latest Maiora 29 will feature a stern and bow deck garage.  The aft will host a rib tender, while the garage to fore has a space for two jet bikes.  It will be interesting how other owners perceive this revolutionary new Maiora 29, which also breaks a lot of moulds not only to Fipa Italian yachts but to yachting in general.  Well done Fipa Italiana Yachts and Maiora!

Improve-it = Fipa Maiora 27

Fipa Maiora launches another of the very successful 27 series, which has some important differences to other previously launched sister yachts.  Called Antharah this latest 27, which was launched in mid July easily noticeable difference is the large glued view window on the center of the lower deck, this serving owner and VIP staterooms.  This again being another novelty with both VIP and owners suite located to midships, and also served by a separate stairs from the saloon.  The other two guest cabins located to fore are served by a stairs from the wheelhouse.  Another novelty is the movable partition in the dining room located in the saloon this separating the place from all other areas.  As all launched 27 models Antharah is a custom built, a must of any Maiora which since its foundation has always distinct itself for launching yachts to owners request, and a high level of customisation.   This latest Maiora 27 is powered by twin MTU 1935hp engines, which give a 29 knots top speed.  But bigger engine options up to twin 2600hp MTU are available for the 27 and for those desiring more speed.

New Model: Fipa Maiora 35 Jet

Thanks to its remarkable experience in Super Yacht building and to a deep knowledge of the nautical market, Fipa Group decided to throw itself into a new challenge in order to add to its current range of models of unique yachts. The new Fipa Maiora 35 Jet joins the club of water jet propelled yachts. This experiment which offers a three engine triple jets set up, has also never been carried out on a full flybridge two deck and a half Super Yacht of these dimensions, leading to the creation of a unique model that has no comparison. With the 35 Jet, Fipa Group who also owns the famed AB Yachts specialized in only jet propulsion Sport Yachts, its designers and architects create a unique Super Yachts satisfying owners desiring speeds of forty knots plus associated with aggressive looking sport type yachts, but want a traditional exterior of two full decks and a half. This resulted in the creation of the 35 Jet, following Fipa's concept of a fully customized unit a feature of all the Group's yachts with classic and harmonious lines, based on the Roberto del Re created lines as for the standard 35 model. The interior accommodation is also made unique thanks to the material of the hull, Kevlar and carbon, and to the water jet propulsion, that Fipa Group up to now had used only on the AB Yachts range. This creates a different layout to the standard with each room gaining a typical home atmosphere with plenty of luxurious abundances. Outside, the large flying bridge is full of comfortable sofas, smoking tables, and a living area with large table than can accommodate ten people. Coming down to the main deck, is the living area that connects the comfortable dining space to the relaxing zone furnished with comfortable sofas and technological comforts, like home theater and satellite TV system. The owner cabin on the main deck is rich of details and comfort: with wide wardrobes, large mirrors, elegant fittings and precious marbles for the bathrooms. Below deck we find the elegant VIP suites, guest cabins and the crew cabins. Aft is the heart of the 35 Jet the engine room with the triple MTU 16V2000M93 of 2400hp each, propelled by 550 MJP water jets, which allow a maximum speed of 46 knots, and a cruise of 38 knots which gives a range of 550 nautical miles.
