New Model: Austin Parker Ibiza 85

Austin Parker has launched its largest build to date with the new Ibiza 85 going into the water in the first quarter of 2022.  Previous to the Ibiza 85 the largest Austin Parker to date was the 72 Fly launched in 2010. Designed as all Austin Parker onwards from 2009 by Fulvio de Simoni the Ibiza 85 is a hard top super sport yacht of 27 meters in length of pure sporty lines, with its lengthy fore deck striking a balanced look.  She is sporty as you can get but also offering all the comfort one wants thanks to its fully enclosed hard top.  The Ibiza 85 is also comfortable, safe, and secure thanks to its full walk around deck.  The Austin Parker 85 is also unusual for offering five double guest cabins below, a rare thing even for flybridge yachts of this size, even more so in sporty yachts, this being possible thanks to its seven meters beam, and the use of surface drive propulsion which put the engines further aft.  Hull one of Austin Parker Ibiza 85 is powered by twin Man 2000hp engines with surface drives propulsion giving top speeds up to forty knots.  An option for speed loving owners is also available with triple Man 2000hp which will give top speeds of 48 knots.

Cranchi has launched its second in size model with the Sessantasette 67 flybridge motor yacht. Designed as the new 2021 launched 78 flagship by Christian Grande the Sessantasette is a flybridge motor yacht that according to Cranchi gives more than its length suggests. With the knowledge of the Cranchi Settantotto, the new Sessantasette also derives its extraordinary technological equipment with the adoption of hi-tech materials as well as a construction technique that has no equal in the world. The yacht will thus offer the highest safety standards and the best solutions for stabilisation, containment of consumption and emissions, noise reduction and home automation and entertainment systems.  The Cranchi Sessantasette offers two lower deck layout choices for a three or four cabins versions.  While a crew cabin with two berths is located aft to port side.  The main deck will offer a galley forward layout, with a central helm station and direct side door access. New Model: Azimut Magellano 30 Metri

Launched in Viareggio at the end of January 2022, the first Magellano 30 Metri is the ultimate expression of Azimut’s pioneering spirit. The new flagship is designed for the experienced owner and connoisseur who plans to enjoy long-distance voyages, whatever the weather conditions and in a constant dialogue with the sea. The Magellano 30 Metri takes this desire for freedom and expresses it in the form of unprecedented seakeeping and a design that offers a view of both the sky and the sea from every point on the yacht. The intimate relationship with nature is also respected in sustainability-related choices that aim to reduce the yacht’s environmental impact.  The Magellano Collection is the Azimut Yachts line for yachtsmen who have a predilection for long cruises: Magellano is always smooth and safe at sea, with low fuel consumption and a wide range of speeds. The interiors too are designed for long stays on board. The new flagship is the perfect fit for the brand’s crossover line, reprising features such as generous volumes and a desire to amaze in different sea conditions, without however compromising on elegance and attention to detail. This result has been achieved thanks to the collaboration of the winning team that proved itself with the previous newest model the Magellano 25 Metr): Ken Freivokh, who handled the exterior styling and volumes, and Vincenzo De Cotiis, who designed the interiors. Freivokh has created refined and modern but in no way aggressive lines that catch the eye of expert yachtsmen, also from the world of sailing yachts. Unexpectedly striking, the teak louvres that close and complement the extensive glazed surfaces in the superstructure are a signature feature of the Magellano line. In keeping with its crossover call, the new 30-metre supper yacht offers spacious, light-filled interiors that De Cotiis has successfully made intimate and inviting.  Freivokh and De Cotiis have designed the three decks of the new Magellano by breathing life into their shared vision of a yacht in seamless contact with the sea, from the Infinity Terrace that welcomes guests on board, to the generous terrace on the Upper Deck for socialising and enjoying the pleasure of cruising in the open air. The huge windows which total over seventy square metres of glazed surfaces, also ensure uninterrupted visual continuity between the interior spaces and the surrounding natural environment, which has a metaphorical presence in every setting, from the full-beam Owner Suite and the living space on the main deck to the gracious Skylounge on the upper deck.  The innovative thrust of the Magellano 30 Metri is also expressed in the choices made to reduce environmental impact. The second-generation Dual Mode hull, designed by naval architecture firm P.L.A.N.A. on a joint basis with the Azimut Yachts Research and Desgin centre, ensures an excellent level of stability, keeping fuel consumption down both at midrange speeds and rough seas, delivering on the promise of cruising in freedom in any conditions, as well as at higher speeds, reducing consumption in this case by about 15% compared with traditional hard chine planning hulls.  The new Magellano line flagship establishes a truly harmonious human relationship with the water, even and especially during periods spent at anchor: with the 30 Metri designed to be fitted with the Hotel Mode package, which includes 100kWh lithium batteries so that she can stay at anchor with zero emissions for up to four hours during the day and eight hours at night. The result is total silence broken only by the sound of the sea.

New Model: Sealine S430

It is very annoying from Sealine that in the website, a new model will still show renders of a boat, even if this has launched new over a year ago, and so to get a real feel of the new Sealine I had to go and look for photos from brokerage sites or copy paste from a video. Rant over, but this is really annoying and has been happening at Sealine for quite some time! The new Sealine S430, is the Sport version of the 430 platform also available in F for Flybridge or C for Coupe fully enclosed hardtop. The Sealine S430 offers the most exterior spaces and offers a large C-shaped dinette which splits to become two L-shaped lounge sofas. To the forward of the cockpit is a helm station to starboard, while to port is twin companion-way settee. Below the deck the Sealine S430 offers a two cabins layout sleeping five with an option to replace the third birth in the midships cabin to a second en-suite head serving the guest cabin. Another option is to have the forward double berth with a scissor movement which splits the berth to twins.

Project: Otam 58 GTS

The Otam 55 and later renamed as 58 has always been a best-seller, but the 26th hull in build at the Genoese shipyard appropriately named ‘Bad Boys’ takes the iconic design a step further.  Restyled by Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design Firm in Rome, the new-look 58 GTS takes the sporty DNA we all expect in an Otam yacht and ratchets it up a notch!  The updated exterior styling offers a semi-open deckhouse with a sharply raked windscreen and wraparound glazing for the en-plein air feel of a true open combined with the protection from the sun and wind of a hardtop. It also provides a more aerodynamic profile and less turbulence for better performance and more onboard comfort at high speed.  Integrated into the hardtop are two air intakes; another two are positioned to port and starboard on the foredeck that funnel air directly into the aft engine compartment underneath the two large sun-pads either side of the central walkway. These can be raised hydraulically for easy access to the engines and other equipment.  The covered cockpit is equipped with a bar unit, corner sofa and a comfortable ding area.  The swim platform and exhaust grilles in the transom have also been redesigned with the latter now integrated and disguised in the nameplate.  Like all Otam yachts, the 58 GTS is built for speed and lives up to its ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ suffix: powered by twin MTU 1825hp engines coupled to ASD14 Arneson surface drives, it has a top speed of 55 plus knots and cruises comfortably at 48 knots.  What hasn’t changed is the high-performance hull form by Tagliavini Marine Design, built using a mix of Aramat and vinylester resin to guarantee total safety and high comfort even at high speed in rough seas.  As with all Otam products, customisation is key and the 58 GTS is being built to the specific brief of her owner, who has also requested a bespoke Böning console for the pilot station.  Below deck, the Otam 58 GTS features two ensuite double cabins, an open-space galley and third single cabin with bathroom for an extra guest or crew member.  The lamination of a second hull is already complete and can be delivered within eight months of sale. The first Otam 58 GTS ‘Bad Boys’ is due to make her debut at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Project: Princess V50

Princess present the project for a third generation V50, available as a deck saloon or Open model set to launch in Dusseldorf 2022.  This new V50 replaces the popular second generation V50 which came with the extension in length larger bathing platform to the V48 launched in 2013. Crafted with a new hull mould, this made to put the new glazing which now shows up nearly for all the hull length from fore to aft, similar to what is on the larger new V55 or on the newer more recent Princess models. Princess is promising improvements in all area to the out going second generation V50.  The Princess V50 mark.3 will be powered by twin Volvo 435hp or 480hp with IPS pod drives which are good for speeds up to thirty knots.  Once you modify the mould to put larger glazing it is a bit a pity that the Princess engineers did not try to put larger D8 550hp or 600hp units which would have delivered more decent performances upwards of thirty knots.

Project: Azimut Grande 36 metri

Azimut was full guns blazing in the fall of 2021 with an order book which goes into 2024, and sales exceeding one billion Euros.  The sales for Azimut are also flowing in the twenty to forty meter segment where itself and its other household Benetti name has been the undisputed leader of sales since someone started pulling out data of yachts sold and constructed.  Following this success and that of the 2021 launched new Grande 38 Metri Trideck flagship, ten units reported being sold up until end of Summer, Azimut unveils the project for two new Grande's, a 26 Metri which PowerYacht reported some weeks ago, and this second large in size 36 Metri. The Azimut Grande 36 Metri comes from a design of Alberto Mancini exterior, and Achille Salvagni for the interior.  Little details are known of the new Grande 36 Metri, the rendering above just like the 26 Metri shows a very full bow, which with the pilot house give it that explorer sturdy look.  The Azimut Grande 36 Metri will also be customisable, with options ranging from the Sundeck version see area on top of the pilot-house, to the Coupe version which will not feature this for a sleeker look.  Other options will be that for an interior with a double lounge saloon, or an interior-exterior dining area on the main deck.

New Model: Solace 415 CS

With a lot of attention currently on the big centre consoles of around fifteen meters or more powered by the new 2021 presented 600hp Mercury, Volvo turns it around and collaborates with Solace for a stern drive powered twelve meter centre console.  The twelve meter size has been the bread and butter for the outboard expansion the past years, so Volvo trying to gather interest in this section of the market is not a combination of events.  Enters the Solace 415 CS, the sterndrive inboard version of the 41 CS.  The advantages for stern drives are known, from a clear uncluttered transom area to better consumption offered by the diesel inboards which compared to the triple outboard 41 offers according to preliminary data fifty per cent less fuel use and a range up to 497 nautical miles.  It will be interesting if we see other builders follow Solace and offer diesel sterndrive inboards on some of the bigger centre consoles.

Project: Azimut Grande 26 Metri

During the 2021 Cannes boat show Azimut unveiled its future plans of five upcoming projects for 2022. One of these new projects will be this Grande 26 Metri, the Great 26 Meters is Azimut response to a competitive part of the market, more so with main stream brands for yachts between 24 to thirty meters in length.  Very little information is available about the Grande 26 Metri but from this rendering we can say that interior spaces are being giving a lot of attention, especially in the forward wide body part of the main deck.  From this rendering the wide body seems to take over half the length of the Grande 26 Metri which should make for a spacious owners stateroom in this area.

New Model: Rosetti 38m Exp

After putting its super yacht project in motion in 2017, the 1925 founded Rosetti shipyard finally puts pen to steel and aluminium, launching the 38m Exp in July 2021, its first pleasure super yacht to touch the water.  Designed by Serigio Cutolo's Hydro Tec, this triple deck super yacht surprises for its volumes, with an interior designed by Burdisso Caponi offering five guest cabins, including an owners stateroom on the main deck.  A request for the first RSY 38m Exp was that the owners did not want any opening balconies in the yacht.  Rosettu 38m Exp is powered by twin Man 800hp engines which give a top speed of thirteen knots, a cruise of eleven, and a ten knots economic giving a five thousand nautical mile range.  The 38m Exp is a fine looking machine, and at its first boat show appearance in Cannes 2021 Rosetti secured the sale for the already in construction hull number two.

Project: Fiart P54

During the 2021 Cannes boat show Fiart presented the project for an upcoming new P54 model, set to launch in 2022.  A new flagship outside the 2019 launched explorer Cetera 60, the P54 is designed by Stefano Pastrovitch, and presents itself as a sport yacht mixing walk around centre console functions to those of what a sixteen meter sport yacht usually offers. Thanks to this the Fiart P54 offers three distinctive but connected exterior areas; aft, midships, and foredeck.  A notable feature is also the line of the yacht and unlike similar competing centre console sport yachts, the P54 has a high bow with a shear line which drops down astern, and a closed stern which opens up when moored to reveal the bathing platform.  The interior of the Fiart P54 is offered in two versions; two cabins, or three cabins.  Offered standard as fully open, optional roll bar, or as the rendering with the hard-top, here another nice detail is that in a second moment one could order the optional radar arch or hard-top and fit it at a later stage.  The Fiart P for Petrovitch 54 is to be powered by twin Volvo 725hp with IPS pod drives, with estimated top speeds up to 39 knots a cruise of 34 and a range of 300 nautical miles.  Fiart who also built the first fiberglass boat in Europe back in 1962 with the Conchita model, is also studying other P54 propulsions from traditional shaft to outboards.
