Project: Heron 38

Heron continues its development and is preparing to add the second model in its fleet the 38. As per the previous 56 model this new 38 is a sport cruiser designed by the SC Superyacht Design Studio located just as the builder in Rome. The main core of Heron 38 remains the hull, a perfect reproduction in smaller of the 56, designed by architect Massimo Picco. The bottom therefore maintains the same waterlines with completely smooth bottom surfaces, free from hydrodynamic drags, step and spray rails in order to significantly reduce any resistance force and generate maximum efficicency.  The Heron 38 will be available in two different variants Walkaround or Day Cruiser.  The Heron 38 has a large cockpit and a generous aft bathing platform. Many different solutions can be applied so that the external surfaces can be customized according to customer request.  The Heron 38 will be powered by twin Volvo 400hp diesel engines with stern drive propulsion which allow for speeds up to forty knots.  The Heron 38 will also be available with outboard engines up to twin 350hp petrol gas units and maximum speeds up to 41 knots.

Project: Heron 56 T-Top

Following the launch of the Heron 56, and the project for a 56 Open the Italian Fiumicino based yacht builder presents another T-Top version designed by SC Superyacht Design. This new Heron will distinct itself for having a T-Top similar to what the original model offers but here the beams supporting the  hard top located further aft.  A T-Top is a good mix of having the advantage of hard top and yet not being fully enclosed.  As in the case of the Open, the Heron 56 T-Top will also have an updated exterior aft deck, which feels larger and features two L-shaped dinettes which when required can be merged together to become one big dinette. With three different versions for the outside; standard, Open and now the more aggressive T-Top, two interior layouts, and three propulsion choices available the Heron is 56 is showing to be one of the most versatile seventeen meter sport yachts in the market today.

Following the launch of the Heron 56, the Italian Fiumicino based yacht builder presents the project for a different Open version designed by SC Superyacht Design.  This new Heron will distinct itself for being an Open version, but Heron did not remove just the hard top in this version and also updated the exterior aft deck, which now looks larger and will feature two L-shaped dinettes which when required can be merged together to become one big dinette.  The Heron 56 is also receiving more tune and updates in its technical area with a relocation of the fuel tank and an increased fuel capacity of 300 liters which totals total 2500 liters.  The Heron 56 is available in various interior lower deck layout from three cabin three heads layouts, to three cabins two heads, and also a separate galley version.  The Heron 56 is also becoming more diverse for its power solutions with choice for a Volvo IPS propulsion, FPT with line shafts, or a high performance Top System surface drives set up.  Heron is also designing 38 and 45 models aimed at completing the range.

Project: Heron 56

Heron is a new brand located in Rome, Fiumicino and present its first model the 56 to a design by Massimo Picco.  An important project the Heron 56 puts a lot of effort in hull design with standard engines of twin Volvo 435hp and IPS pod drives estimating a top speed of 32 knots.  As is usual with the Italian Rome builders, the Heron 56 follows some traditional elements; see flush deck with other modern touches as the t-hard top.  The lower deck of the Heron 56 will be fully dedicated to three double cabins, with each cabin served with its own private head.  A crew cabin with head is located to starboard.  Living and galley are located on the main deck in an area covered by the hard top.  The first hull of the Heron 56 has launched in August 2017 so at this stage we are waiting for the pictures of the first unit, of what looks a very promising model.
