Project: Estensi Targa 38 GT

Estensi present the project for the Targa 38 GT.  Designed as all Estensi by Zuccheri, the 38 GT launches the new Targa line which replaces the previous America range as the sports open line from the Italian boat builder, with the Targa offering classic traditional lines mixed with a modern super structure.  Unlike the America the first Targa takes the hull and similar lines from the down East inspired Goldstar range with the difference, at least for this first 38 GT of a Mediterrean central sun-pad open cockpit deck layout. It will be interesting if Estensi will follow this pattern with the other Goldstar models, which would see it in little time if the Italian builder wants with four additional models, considering that the tooling is nearly the same with the exception of the hard top section.  Down below the Estensi Targa 38 GT offers two layouts, that for two cabins, or an open plan layout with a large cabin and an L-shaped lounger.  The Estensi Targa 38 GT is powered by twin shaft line engines from 280 up to 400hp.

Project: Estensi 365 Goldstar S

Estensi present the project for a new 365 Goldstar S.  Desinged by Zuccheri the Estensi is saying this is a completely new boat, but in a reality this is based on the 360 Goldstar Sport launched in 2012, with update details set to make it more modern.  The updated touches are mostly visible in the larger windows serving both the fore master cabin, and guest cabin at midships.  The Estensi 365 Goldstar S offers a standard accommodation plan layout, with saloon on entry, galley on the lower deck, master cabin forward, and guest cabin to starboard, with a single large shower head to port side.  The Estensi 365 Goldstar S is powered by standard twin Volvo 280hp, or optional 370hp and FPT 400hp.

New Model: Estensi 380 America

For Cannes boat show 2019, Estensi presented its new entry level 380 America model.  This new Estensi is a call to those looking for a conservative made and looking sport cruiser of eleven meters in length powered by line shaft propulsion.  The Estensi 380 America as all models from the Tuscany boat builder has another attraction and that of being flexible in its layout, offering two cabins or a single cabin layout.  In the single cabin layout the guest cabin with twin berths to starboard is replaced by an L-shaped settee.  A galley to port side is located in the lower deck.  The 380 America will also feature an open style hard top open in the sides, as is custom with some sport fishing boats.  The main deck cockpit layout offers a helm station to starboard, C-shaped dinette behind it, and a wet bar and or mini galley and chaise lounge forward opposite.  To aft is a mini sun-lounge which extends to become full size.  The Estensi 380 America is powered by twin Volvo 280hp as standard engines, with power choices going up to twin 370hp.

Web: Estensi New Web Site

Estensi founded in 1995, is a Tuscany Italian boat builder which presents its new World wide showroom.  Estensi is located in Ferrara, on the Po river which goes directly into the sea. Estensi coming from a previous experience in boat building, started its official path in 1995 with the launching of the Queentime, a medium sized sailing yacht of which eighty examples where delivered in its production cycle. In the year 2000 Estensi starts production of the current Goldstar range, based on tradition cruisers and yachts, inspired to the American Down East lobster boat with an Italian touch.  In 2006 Estensi goes again a similar route with the introduction of the Maine range, an Explorer trawler inspired yacht with medium fifteen knots cruising speeds giving a longer range along with more living aboard comforts.  In 2015 following a difficult period Estensi was taken over by a new company, aiming to preserve the traditional Italian values of the company.  Estensi has at today built over five hundred boats and currently produces nine models, starting from 36 up to 64 feet, composed of the Maine, Goldstar, and America range series.  The latest Estensi model is the new Estensi 380 America. Project: Estensi 380 America

Estensi present the project for a new 380 America model set to be World launched in the upcoming 2017 Cannes boat show.  The Estensi 380 America is based on the Mauro Zuccheri designed hull lines of the 360 Goldstar, with looks and upper structure inspired by East coast USA sport fisherman cruiser and designed by Marino Alfano.  Still to be fair to the genre, the Estensi is not a sport-fishing machine although the exterior looks are inspired to this, the features in the cockpit are not.  For example the cockpit deck of the 360 America will be a flat floor, with a bench settee to port side,  while to starboard we have a dinette with a mezzanine style settee looking aft. Interior wise the Estensi 380 America will be offered in two versions a more cabin layout with two cabins and one head ideal for a family cruise, and a more open layout set for short stays and or day trips.  The Estensi 380 America will be powered by standard twin Volvo 300hp and or optional 370hp.  An outboard version is also set to be available.

New Model: Estensi 535 Maine

Estensi shipyard an Italian builder of reliable, elegant and appealing traditional lobster and explorer trawler cruiser and yachts, continues along the path of renewal with the new 535 Maine. After the project presentation in Düsseldorf past January, the new model was launched in June 2016, and now will make its public debut at the Cannes show in September. The new 535 Maine follows in the footsteps of the hugely successful previous model, the 530, of which a total of 35 have been sold.  A total of 60 Maine series have been sold including the 480 and 640 sister models rewarding the technical solutions and semi customization Estensi introduced in this series of explorer trawler cruiser and yachts. Today the 530 Maine evolves into the 535, which offers some important new features based on experience and the latest technology available. Big side windows illuminate the three cabins below deck, while a new solution has been devised for the door between the cockpit and the saloon enabling a single space for even more direct contact with the sea. From a technical standpoint, Estensi also starts a new partnership with Volvo in this model with twin 435hp units powering the 535 Maine.  Other important upgrades for the 535 versus the 530 will be a pivoting hydraulic swim platform and  joystick for maneuvering.  Important note that the 535 Maine keeps the flexibility Estensi is known for with three versions available for the main deck design solutions.

Project: Estensi 360 Goldstar Sport Open

Estensi shipyard from Tuscany in Italy launching the 360 Goldstar Sport just a couple months ago, already presents an alternative version of this model, the Open.  Based on all details on the 360 Goldstar Sport, with the big advantage of being able to be registered in Italy in the small craft section of its registry under ten meters, the new project from Zuccheri distinct itself for its open aft deck.  That is not divided with patio door and being fully open to aft.  For example instead of the patio door to starboard is a nice aft looking mezzanine settee, seating three to four persons.  Down below the layout offers the same two cabins, with a single head to port, and an owners room to fore.  Again other technical features which strike in the press release are to be found in the Estensi 360 Goldstar Sport Open as two FPT enigne choices; standard twin 280 or optional 370hp this last giving 33 knots max speed, a low 10 knots planning speed, and 70dba of noise at 2000 rpm cruise.

New Model: Estensi 360 Goldstar Sport

Estensi launched the much awaited 360 Goldstar Sport just of couple weeks ago.  Designed by Zuccheri the new 360 is the entry level Traditional Cruiser of this five model range from Estensi which goes up to 54 feet.  The Estensi 360 Goldstar S, looks as much as her bigger sisters from the design to the practicality of its accommodation plan.  Estensi with the 360 Goldstar Sport follows a function of cabins and galley below, and a relaxing saloon up top.  Engine choices are twin FPT from standard 280hp to optional 370hp.  The bigger engine choice gives a max speed of 33 knots, five more to the standard engine.  Interesting is a very low planning speed of only 10 knots, which Estensi says keep also a low bow attitude making helming also easy.

Project: Estensi 360 Goldstar S

Following the launch of its new flagship the 640 Maine, Estensi shipyard from Italy returns to concentrate on its traditional down east looking Goldstar line, and presents the project for the 360 S.  This model will be the entry level of the Goldstar Sport line which will now feature five cruisers and yachts from 36 up to 54 feet, and is planned for launch in the coming Spring of 2012.  The Sport line represents a more modern take on the lobster boat looks with designer Zuccheri presenting a sloop stern, and sleeker upper structure pilothouse.  Contrary to what one would believe the 360 Goldstar S will also feature a different hull to what the Classic version offers, with a wider beam by ten centimeters, and longer waterline length.  Her interior will offer a lower accommodation deck with a two double cabins plan, and L-shaped galley.  The main deck saloon will offer the living daily relaxing area with a C-shaped saloon, opposite entertainment unit, and the helm station to starboard.  Power to the Vee shaped planning hull will be from standard FPT engines 270hp or optional 380 in traditional line shaft propulsion.

New Model: Estensi 640 Maine

Estensi shipyard launches the 640 Maine its largest built model to date.  The new Estensi flagship is again a design of Italian architect Maurizio Zuccheri, and this is the third model of this range from the Italian builder representing hybrid explorer cruiser and yacht looks.  The 640 Maine joins the smaller 530 and 480 models.  As the larger dimensions say the 640 Maine offers a very livable interior with a split level main deck, offering a saloon, separate galley, C-shaped dining table, and helm.  This part will also offer two exit side doors which take you to the side deck conveniently located to port by the galley, and starboard by the helm.  The lower deck of the 640 Maine is all dedicated to the four double guest cabins, three guest heads, and a two L-shaped bunk crew cabin located to aft.  The owners stateroom is located to mid ship and on standard plan features a walkin' wardrobe, shower head with bidet, and relaxing sofa to starboard.  But various options are available for making the owners room as one would desire from his and her bathrooms, and also the option of a private office. The flybridge of the 640 Maine is also to be offered in two options with a choice of tender stowage with crane or a free aft part reserved for entertaining.  A choice of L-shaped or C-shaped settee is also available.  Power for the 640 Maine will be from twin Iveco FPT 825hp engines which give a wide open throttle speed of 27 knots.

Project: Estensi 640 Maine

Estensi who had quite a success in Italy with its US inspired line of produced boats presents the 640 Maine project, third model of this line and its largest ever built yacht. The Maine is Estensi line of Explorer Yachts with a Vee shape deep fore foot and flat aft hull which makes good for medium speeds of around 20 knots but also slower economic with a longer range at around 10 knots. As expected due to its larger size the 640 Maine shall boasts better the live aboard features of this range, and offer more spaces. Its lower deck presents an impressive four cabin plan, plus two crew aft with all the cabins looking rather large on plan, and the owner stateroom being a full beam mid ship affair. Worth to note is that all of the guest berths have no bunk berths too. The main deck being the living area is a split level saloon based on Italian style with a separate galley located in the middle, welcoming saloon aft, and dining area by the helm to fore. Reaching to the flybridge is from an internal and external stair case. The fly is reserved as an area of relaxing with an area aft usable for free moving deckchairs, C-shaped dinette, and helm. Standard power is to be from twin 600hp engines.

Improve-it = Estensi 460 Goldstar C

Just after a couple months of launching the first Estensi 460 Goldstar C which is a hard top traditional cruiser style, this very active shipyard launches the optional flybridge version of this same model. In this flybridge version the 460 Goldstar C, with this last letter meaning Classic for the more from the past lines provided by the stern and the coach roof, takes also some fisherman looks. In actual fact the flybridge gives a cross over hint of a lobster down east and a fisherman, especially if seen from the stern. Although I am sure that no fish boxes aft will make many fisherman disagree with this. This model is also the second Goldstar to be equipped with a flybridge alongside the 560 C which is the current flagship of Estensi. Apart adding a flybridge to the 460 Goldstar C, Estensi also presented an alternative second interior layout choice of a two cabins lower galley plan. The standard plan is a more family orientated three cabin two heads, with galley up. This two cabins layout increases relaxing space on the main deck with a bigger saloon area, and gives the galley a more private feel below. Estensi also points out that the super structure of the 460 Goldstar C is made of a light sandwich construction, which makes the twelve tons dry weight particularly more stable in slower speeds or at anchor, and makes it possible to reach wide open throttle speeds of 32 knots with only twin FPT of 450hp.

New Model: Estensi 460 Goldstar C

The Italian Estensi continue with the extension of its successful traditional lobster boat looking Goldstar line with the presentation of the new 460 C. The C here stands for Classic which represents the square shoe stern of this model versus the sloop of the S versions. Based on the previously launched 440 Goldstar S sharing hulls and layout, the 460 Goldstar C gets a bigger aft deck, as well as a squarish patio door. Interior layout is a three double cabins with two shower heads one of which en-suite for the owner. The owners suite is to fore. The main deck offers a C-shaped saloon to port side, covered galley, and it's main helm station to starboard. Unusual for this size the helm station also offers a direct door to the side decks. New Model: Estensi 500 Goldstar C

Estensi new 500 Goldstar C is another of the new models unveiled by this Italian builder during the Genoa Show. Second large in the more C for classic Goldstar lobster yacht line up, the new 500 Estensi just crosses the border to enter yacht territory, and is also fourth largest model from this quality appreciated Italian boat builder. As told in the project preview of the same model before its launch last year, the 500 Goldstar C shares much in common with the more modern looking 480 Goldstar S, like the ever important hull shape, and also the interior layout offering in fact an identical three cabin two head layout, with a crew cabin with head. The main difference is basically for the classic looks of the upper structure, the patio door in this case more traditional with wooden inserts, and the stern is also a squarish affair again calling to the past times. The squarish stern solution also gives a major cockpit space compared to the slightly smaller 480 Goldstar S, and the bathing platform is also more detached although still being an integrated design in its traditional ways. Power is from a standard option of twin 550hp, with performance data so far not being communicated.

New Model: Estensi 480 Goldstar S

Italian builder Estensi presents the waited 480 Goldstar S, latest model for this range of traditional cruisers and yachts with lobster boat looks outside and an Italian way for the comfort inside. The 480 is the latest addition to the more modern looking Goldstar S range, differing from the C for its sleeker stern and super structure, and more modern stainless glass patio door. This new 480 Goldstar S offers unexpected comfort for its size with a three double cabin accommodation, a crew cabin, hidden galley and a split level saloon. Power is from twin not so big 550hp, but Estensi has still not published any performance data which to be honest was very curious to know. Range should also be good with not so much power and not small 2000 litres fuel capacity.
