Formula Sport Cruiser Hits Jetty and Sinks

A thirteen meter Formula sport cruiser with four persons onboard partly sank at Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey on eight August 2020.  The Formula cruiser was reported as running over the jetty, at high tide, which makes it invisible to the naked eye.  The four persons on the Formula cruiser where immediately assisted by two nearby boats who saw the boat sinking, and loaded them onboard to safety, as the stern started going down indicating that probably the Formula hit its running gear.  Following this TowboatU.S. and the Coast Guard where quickly on the scene working a way to salvage the cruiser.
The Formula in this sinking is a second generation 45 Yacht as introduced in 2015. The second generation 45 Yacht is recognizable by the extended hard-top, and was also offered with a patio door main deck option, and Volvo 435hp with IPS pods as standard.  The Formula 45 Yacht came out in 2007 as a replacement to the 48 Yacht, and was produced till 2019.
