Cruisers Sport Cruiser Saved from Sinking at Key Harbor, New Jersey

An eight meter Cruisers sport cruiser was saved from sinking near Key Harbor, New Jersey on the afternoon of Sunday eight October 2023.  The sport cruiser was reported in need of help by a fellow boater, as its communication systems were also disabled.  Sea Tow Central New Jersey who shared this story on its Facebook page assisted the boaters, and saved the boat from sinking by applying multiple dewatering pumps, and then towed the sport cruiser safely to Key Harbor Marina.  The cause of water intrusion was not reported. 

The boat in this accident is a Cruisers 2870 Express as produced from 1998 to 2004 and then as 280 CXi up to 2007.  The 2870 Express was a replacement to the 2870 Rogue, with the model replaced by the 300 CXi.
