A seventeen meter Riviera sport yacht ended aground off the North Jetty in Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey on the afternoon of Thursday first July 2021. TowBoatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven, who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the yacht, by removing it from the grounding and then towing it to a yacht yard for repairs. With the collision to the high tide not visibile North Jetty the yacht lost its port-side pod drive. No injuries are reported from the collision.
The yacht in this accident is a Riviera 565 SUV as produced from 2013 to 2017 in seventeen units. The 565 SUV was Riviera second SUV model, with the range debuting with the 445 SUV in 2012. The 565 SUV was replaced by the Riviera 575 SUV.
