Project: Garcia GT54

Those who have been around in Cannes might have catch a glimpse of this novelty presented by this North French boat builder, who is renowned for building alloy sailing yachts.  Designed by architects Sailard, and Le Quement the GT54 is a trawler with a modern take on its exterior looks, and interior furnishing.  Changing ownership in 2010 and now forming part of the Grand Large group which includes two other sail boat builders, the GT54 is also Garcia first power trawler yacht, although the small mast on top leaves a bit to the heritage of the builder.  The interior of hull one of the GT54 presents a two cabins layout with full beam owners room, and VIP to fore, but being a fully custom build other three or four cabins versions are available.  The main deck is also dedicated for living with a relaxing saloon being joined by an open galley, and a pilot house to fore with central helm and a dinette to port.  Power shows that Garcia for this World exploring GT54 have left nothing to the case with a Cat 185hp main engine continuous duty, and a wing 75hp Volvo.  Top speed is 11 knots, with a range of 8000 nautical miles possible.
