Wajer New Web Site

Wajer presents its new web site. Wajer was founded in 1992 by Dorus Wajer a previous employer at Atmos Ventilation Techniques in Uden, a ventilation specialized company.  In 1990 the 36 year old Dorus will leave Atmos and starts the design and build of the seven meters Captain Launch in that year.  The seven meter Captan Launch will debut in 1992 and will be produced till 2021 and is followed by the Vripack designed classic sport-boat looking Osprey 37 in 2005, and then the smaller Osprey 34 in 2010.  In 2013 the Osprey 37 replacement the Wajer 38 arrives, with this added with the S version in 2015.  In 2016 Wajer debuts the 55 model, with this outsized by the 77 in 2021.  In 2019 Dorus son Dries, who started as managing director two years before takes charge of Wajer.  Today Wajer offers nine models which start from the 38 and go up to the 77, with its latest model being the second version of the 55 which arrived in the fall of 2024.  Wajer new website takes you around with the following buttons; Models, Pre-owned, Owners, Charter, and About.  Wajer is also on social media with bottom right buttons taking you to its Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Linkedin, and Pinterest pages.

Project: Steeler Ocean Explorer 88

Steeler Yachts introduces the Ocean Explorer 88, the first tri-deck yacht from the semi-custom Dutch yacht builder. Latest addition to its Ocean Explorer range, the 88 is designed in collaboration with Pim Dijksman, and will feature a beam of over seven meters. The Ocean Explorer 88 builds on the success of the Ocean Explorer 85 delivered in two units, although she is a completely new vessel with an extra one meter for both length and beam, and a third deck. A pocket explorer super yacht the Ocean Explorer 88 combines eight berths including a full-beam owner's cabin on the main deck, separate crew accommodation for four with a dedicated captain's cabin, large provision and equipment storage, a spa and wellness area and a work deck carrying two tenders of seven and five meters. The Ocean Explorer 88 features a round-bilged hull shape, and will be build with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to RINA Pleasure Yacht Class. The Ocean Explorer 88 is standard powered by twin MAN 493hp for top speed up to twelve knots and a cruise of twelve.

New Model: Maritimo S50

Maritimo expands its next-generation model line-up with the launch of the new S50 Sedan Motor Yacht at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in May 2026. The ever-increasing popularity in Maritimo’s single level luxury motor yachts has led to the creation of the most ’S’ boat ever. The product design team, headed up by Maritimo’s Founder, Bill Barry-Cotter have given the production team not just a stylish vessel to create, but one that beautifully blends contemporary European-inspired styling with extended, blue water cruising in mind, and then wraps it all up cohesively into the brand’s hallmark offshore capability and practical design philosophy. This new Maritimo model showcases a bold yet refined exterior, characterised by distinctive striping, sculpted curves, and a reimagined coach house profile that signals a step forward in both aesthetics and functional design. The main saloon has been reimagined compared to the M50 enclosed flybridge model. The aft galley arrangement is now positioned on the port side, connecting directly with the S50’s larger upper cockpit. This area features seating moulded into the new and distinctive boot, which also houses the BBQ, cooler and sink, while providing access to the lazarette. The distinctive roofline, with its large, fixed overhang, provides the ultimate in all-weather protection while also accentuating the sleek profile, made even more striking by its black highlights and striping. On the accommodation level, the two-stateroom layout is exactly the same as the M50 Flybridge launched last year, with large, walk around beds and expansive bathrooms are key features. The day head at the bottom of the atrium stairs serves the requirements of both overnight guests and day guests. The VIP stateroom up forward can be configured in either a twin or double layout. Including the convertible settee, positioned on the port side of the main saloon, this adds two more berths to take the total to six. The S50’s main deck is the centrepiece of its innovation, designed to maximise spatial perception and usability, the saloon features increased internal headroom that contrasts with the yacht’s sleek exterior profile. Large panoramic side windows, combined with opening sections, flood the interior with natural light while enhancing cross-ventilation and connection to the surrounding seascape. A central glass skylight strip with dual opening hatches further elevates the sense of openness, creating a bright, airy environment that blurs the boundaries between inside and out. This architectural approach reinforces Maritimo’s commitment to practical luxury, where comfort and usability take precedence over purely stylistic consideration. The aft galley on the port side, immediately accessible upon entering from the cockpit, reinforcing the yacht’s suitability for both everyday use and entertaining and features full-height domestic refrigeration, a cooktop and oven, and intelligently integrated storage solutions, all positioned to benefit from abundant natural light through the tapering side windows. A defining feature of the S50 is its enhanced cockpit and outdoor entertaining areas that combine magnificently with those inside to provide the epitome of both a functional and inviting space. A newly designed ‘boot’ structure integrates cockpit seating, which extends the overall cockpit length by approximately 300 millimetres. This innovation not only improves usability, but also contributes to the yacht’s cohesive design language, with styling cues drawn directly from the roof structure above. The boot has an electrically actuated lifting mechanism to reveal the lazarette that houses key onboard systems, including substantial freshwater and waste capacities, steering components, and then dedicated storage for fishing equipment and other gear. This thoughtful allocation of space ensures that functionality is never compromised by form. The boot also houses a built-in barbecue and sink, creating a true alfresco dining environment that flows naturally from the saloon. This continuity of space, from swim platform to cockpit and then onto the interior, underscores the S50’s role as a versatile platform for both relaxation and social engagement. Further enhancing the outdoor experience is a sophisticated tilting and lowering swim platform, which, when raised, integrates seamlessly with the transom design. This feature provides both practical functionality for water access and a clean, uncluttered aesthetic when underway.  The Maritimo S50 is powered by twin Volvo 800hp with direct line shaft propulsion for top speeds up to thirty knots.

Projects: Greenline 50 Fly, Greenline 50 Coupe

Greenline Yachts has unveiled project designs for the 50 model set to be available in both Fly, and Coupe version as rendered below.  The 50 will replace the existing Greenline 48, which has been one of the yard’s top-sellers for more than a decade. While the new Greenline 50 serves a similar segment of the market, it will be bigger, sleeker and include a host of new features. The first hull in the new Greenline 50 Fly is already nearing the end of its build process, with launch at Portoroz, Slovenia scheduled for late summer. Every new yacht draws lessons from its predecessors, so the Greenline 50 is a clear evolution of the brand’s DNA and celebrated design language. Its tall, safe bulwarks, the dynamic swept-back superstructure, bright spaces and flexible hybrid drives are all pure Greenline. Like its predecessor the new Greenline 50 offers three versatile cabins that can be arranged as twins or doubles, and up to three bathrooms.  The main deck offers comfortable one-level living, with no steps between the cockpit and the saloon, which is bathed in natural light thanks to generous dimensions and all-round glazing. But the Greenline 50 also features a wealth of small details which carry the brand forward. Owners will enjoy more choice over interior materials and finishes than ever before, plus a comprehensive options list that ranges from electronics to appliances.  Greenline’s versatile aft deck area has been turbocharged, with more spacious options than in previous models. Choose between a vast storage space for the tender and toys, or an additional cabin for a crew member. Opting for storage, the whole aft deck seating area swings open to give access from the bathing platform. As crew accommodation, on the other hand, the port side access through the transom is filled to create standing headroom below.  The first Greenline 50 is built in the Fly model, with a generous flybridge. Together with the battery bank and the solar panels, the yacht’s hotel operations can run on silent electric power for extended periods, depending on conditions.  The system can be seamlessly combined with Greenline’s 6G hybrid drive or  efficient diesel engines for a serene boating experience.  As with the Greenline 45 and the Greenline 58, the new Greenline 50 is also available in a Coupe version, with the flybridge replaced by hard-top.

Cranchi Sport Cruiser Saved from Fire in Eolian Island of Lipari

A berthed twelve meter Cranchi sport cruiser was saved from fire in the Eolian island of Lipari on the morning of Tuesday eighteen August.  The Port Captaincy of Lipari responded to the blaze with the CP 322 patrol boat, as they towed the boat outside the pontoon in order to avoid damage to the marina structure and other boats.  Ultimately the fire was controlled, with no injuries reported from the accident.

The boat in this accident is a Cranchi 43 Mediterranee HT as designed by Aldo Cranchi and produced from 2007 till 2011.  The 43 Mediterranee was a replacement to the 41 Mediterranee, with the model replaced by the Cranchi M44 ST. 

Two Boats Fire Wrecked In Novalja Boat Yard at Island of Pag, Croatia

Two boats of about fourteen and ten meters respectively were wrecked by fire in a boat yard in Novalja on the island of Pag in Croatia, with the blaze starting at 02:50 early morning Tuesday eighteen August.  The Volunteer Fire Department of Novalja responded to the blaze with eighteen fire fighters and six emergency vessels.  The fire fighting lasted two hours and was controlled to these two vessels.  The cause of the fire is under investigation, with the boat yard owner stating that this started in one of the electrical systems of the two boats.
