Project: Bluegame BGX83

Bluegame proudly announces the global debut of its new flagship, the BGX83 the next anticipated evolution of the BGX range which debuted in 2019 with the BGX70 model. Bigger, bolder, extra functional and more luxurious than ever, BGX83 represents the pinnacle of a design journey that has redefined contemporary yachting, and is tol be unveiled at the upcoming 2026 Dusseldorf boat show which opens on the second week of January.  BGX83 embodies the pinnacle of owner-centric design, combining unprecedented volumes with uncompromising functionality. The architecture of BGX83 gains significant space and volume compared to its predecessors, particularly in the stern. The signature beach area evolves into a bigger open-air lounge: in addition to the hydraulic up-and-down platform, the yacht now features a starboard side opening, expanding the width and completing the area’s connection to the sea. This connection extends inward. The aft salon, located at water level, links directly to the beach area, creating a seamless flow between exterior and interior. This layout allows the aft salon to serve as a private extension of the owner’s suite. The full-beam master cabin, spanning an impressive 6.3 meters in width, connects directly to this salon, offering the owner a superyacht-level apartment where one feels already outdoors. On the same level, two or three VIP cabins, depending on the chosen layout, offer generous dimensions that top their category competitors. Well-designed, discreet crew quarters ensure impeccable service and onboard efficiency. Moving to the main deck, Bluegame leverages an asymmetric design, featuring a single staircase on the starboard side, to maximize the dining area. This creates space for a customizable outdoor bar and kitchen unit, adding a further layer of personalization for the owner. Inside, the upper salon impresses with 360-degree glazing and two large opposing sofas, a layout choice that immediately conveys the perception of a superior class yacht. The new Bluegame BGX flagship stands as a testament to a powerful creative synergy between four defining figures in the industry; Luca Santella the Bluegame founder and concept creator, Louis T. Codega taking care of hull design and naval architecture, Zuccon responsible for exterior design, and Piero Lussoni who designed the interiors. Bluegame BGX83 first hull is powered by triple Volvo 900hp engines with forward looking IPS pod drives, driving the yacht to a max speed of thirty knots and a cruise of 28.

After eight years Pardo Yachts has at the 2025 Cannes boat show unveiled the new second generation of the Pardo 43. Considering the top seller status of the first version which debuted the walk-around range and a return of Cantieri dell Pardo in the motor boat sector after over twenty years absence, the second version P43 brings a natural evolution born from experience, embracing the spirit of continuity, enhancing every detail without ever losing sight of its identity at sea. Subtle yet striking new design details; air intakes that have been relocated to the exterior and cleverly integrated into the ‘swoosh’ of the topsides enhance both form and function. The descending sheer line adds a sportier, more dynamic silhouette, while the refined hull geometry delivers an even more fluid, elegant profile. Handling easier than ever. Despite its primary function as a day boat, life on board has never been more comfortable. Dometic air conditioning now serves both cockpit and interior spaces, including the bathroom, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere in all weather. The stabilizer is available as an optional feature, with a choice between Seakeeper and Quick to enhance onboard comfort and deliver an even smoother ride. Starlink connectivity is now available on board, offering satellite-based high-speed internet even in the most remote cruising destinations. Reflecting today’s demand for tailored performance, the new Pardo 43 introduces the option of outboard propulsion for the first time in the P43R version. Power options start from twin Volvo 380hp, and go up to 480hp for the inboard IPS version, while the B outversion is offered twith triple 300hp up to to 600hp Mercury outboards. Fairline Yacht Ends Beached in Isla Mujeres, Cancun

A seventeen meter Fairline sport yacht with two persons onboard ended beached and aground at Playa Norte to the North-West of Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico on the New Years eve afternoon of 31st December.  According to news the yacht ended aground due to an error by its helmsman.  The yacht was reported to have been bare-boat charter, meaning without a captain, with the charterer helming the yacht.  Following the accident it was found that this charterer did not posses a valid yacht master licence.  An operation to remove the yacht is ongoing.

Best of 2025

The year 2025 was the one when the buyer's market returned.  A buyers market arriving thanks to slowing economies around the globe, as pushed more by the USA tariff and trade war to both foes or friends.  A tariff and trade war which seems mostly to hit the lower to middle classes of the developing World, as necessities and supplies have been on the inflationary rise again. The I-word seems to dominate the twenty-twenties decade. Beside the trade war the ongoing World conflicts especially the not ending yet Russo-Ukraine war do not help much a difficult situation.  Yet in all this boat sales are stable in the prime markets, and even though some boats nowadays cost near the double to what they were in the previous 2010s decade, it is still a vibrant and innovative market, as the below lists show.

Power Yacht Best of the Year is the BlueGame BGF45.  Over the years catamarans have mostly developed as two hulls who want to carry a home on top of them.  A far cry from the efficiency and performance focus of the early cats, albeit that this formula commercially speaking has worked well for those who have specialized in the catamaran genre.  But the BlueGame BGF45 represents everything pleasure catamarans should be.  It re-invents the more day cruising part of the genre, and on the technical side Sanlorenzo Group put into practise the investment it made with the BGH-HSV hydrogen-powered foil catamaran prototype.  With this BlueGame adds a Mediterranean layout, bringing comfort to match those of larger open sport cruisers outside, and of similar sized ones inside.

The others.

Galeon 430 Exp. Challenging tug-boat exterior looks, but once aboard Galeon transformer wizardry expands the exterior entertainment areas to record-breaking extra squared-meters.

Palm Beach Motor Yachts PB85. Large down East lobster yachts are not new, but Palm Beach takes the genre to a new 27 meters size record for its new flagship, without missing the efficiency which made the fortunes of the Sydney founded name.

Prestige F4.3. Change the main deck.  By eliminating the aft patio door, and using side doors, Prestige add space in the main deck living area of the F4.3. It connects!

Princess F58. Somehow the designers and engineers at Plymouth manage to squeeze a dinette in an astern galley layout in a length of seventeen meters.  Space stealer.

Riviera 4300 Sports Express. The detailed unique Swiss knife features of the 4300 Sports Express are mind blowing, as Riviera return to the open sport cruiser segment after sixteen years.

SantaSevera 52. The forward thinking Francesco Guida presents SantaSevera a sport yacht inspired in form and layout to a Down-East lobster boat from the future, with exterior spaces spanning 2/3rds of length.

Scout 670 LXS. Going two foot more Scout creates the largest outboard powered center console ever made.  Rightly so the 670 LXS is much more then a walk-around center-console.

Tasman 8.0. Eight meters build to Australian commercial standards for the rough tough stuff, and packed as a cabin sportfish cruiser.  Sea worthiness added with the reliability and longevity of line shaft propulsion.

Classic Strikes Back. Itama 54. A hide and seek jewel in Ferretti Group's seven brand portfolio, Itama with the 38 arriving in 1979 and subsequent larger models is part of the Mediterranean pleasure boating story and this becoming a play-ground for open cruisers and yachts over the years.  For this third act of Itama designers Ferretti Group brings Luca Bassani prodigy designer Tommaso de Luca who takes over from Marco Casali after twenty years, and debuts with the 54, an open sport yacht who amidst Amati classic moments adds some fresh design details.  The public seems to have approved with 2026 production reported sold out at the end of the fall boat shows.

PowerYacht wishes to all its followers, friends, readers, and visitors a Healthy and Prosperous 2026 year.
