The result of engineering innovation, Italian design and a passion for details, enters the latest project by Absolute the Piacenza-based shipyard is called 56 Fly. Featuring a strong, confident personality, 56 Fly was created to be noticed and to fascinate boat owners with a proven mix of comfort and fine design, but also innovation, functionality and on-board convenience. “Charisma” encapsulates the essence of Absolute’s new craft, which brings together and builds on the most successful features of previous boats. With 56 Fly, Absolute has undertaken intense Research and Design work to enhance those hallmarks, including the revolution of the Flybridge Generation 2022 that began with the 60 Fly launched in 2021, which introduced a new construction approach developed to ensure freedom of movement, ultimate versatility and liveability. Along with a relaxing bow area with sun loungers and sofa, the outer aft areas are free of fixed elements, so they can be easily furnished as desired. To meet all needs, Absolute provides modular, versatile décor solutions for the entire range. The visual boundaries between the boat and the sea vanish thanks to a transparent parapet in the cockpit, the open gunwales and the large windows with electric winder in the lounge area. The magnetic personality of 56 FLY is also expressed in its interiors, featuring comfortable, modern spaces, inspired by Absolute’s signature focus on ease of use. Liveability culminates in a full beam owner’s cabin at the bow, designed to provide ultimate privacy and comfort, but also an outstanding view through panoramic windows; its interiors are embellished with sophisticated design, transparent details between cabin and bathroom and textural contrasts. As spacious as a second owner’s cabin, the VIP cabin is also full beam. The sleeping area is completed by a third full-feature cabin with single beds, complete with every comfort and with the same ceiling height as the other cabins. Freedom of movement is the common thread throughout the interiors, connected by sliding doors and enhanced by surprisingly large windows for breath-taking morning views, with plenty of natural light flooding into the cabins. There are numerous stowage areas to improve comfort in the sleeping area as in the living area, which also features a contemporary kitchen. No power details are given for the Absolute 56 Fly as yet.

The salon welcomes those entering from the aft deck where a dining area and open-concept galley awaits them. Immediately noticeable is the play of light in this bright and dynamic space from the large windows that draw the eye to the ever-changing views. Forward of the galley is a large U-shaped sofa where family and friends can congregate while sharing their time with an owner-operator who does not feel excluded from the company on board. On the lower deck the master stateroom is amidships to take advantage of the full beam of almost six metres. Again, large hull windows admit plenty of natural light and the stateroom is served by a His-and-Hers head arrangement. The guest accommodation is completed with a twin single guest cabin and a VIP cabin in the bow, both with ensuite bathrooms. On deck, the forward area has been arranged for sunbathing and a relaxed life at sea. There is also an enclosed version of the ample bridge deck available for colder climates with direct access to the main saloon below. Not forgetting the generous fly deck that is set up for relaxing and dining under the protective shade of the hard top. VZ Yachts New Web Site
Italian motor yacht builder VZ presents its new virtual web showroom. VZ is founded by Gianni Vizianello who in the mid fifties starts to get his naval work experience for many of the boat building and repair shops around Venice. In the early seventies Gianni Vizianello builds around seventy boats from eleven to fifteen meters in length for IAG Nautica in Venice. After this experience Vizianello decides to open on his own and founds VZ in the mid seventies, in the start it is with wooden built boats, before moving its production to fibreglass technology in the eighties. When VZ changes to fibreglass construction it was never about a fully automated production method, but more a way to increase quality, building by hand and to order in a semi custom approach. In the nineties VZ is sold to a group of investors who expand the name till the recession of 2009 hits home and bankrupts the company in 2012. VZ reopens in 2018 with a group of investors from Veneto. A turning point in VZ history was in 1993 when launching the sixty feet plus flagship 18 model, one of the first designs by Venice architects duo Nuvolari Lenard who with this model created a success, not made bigger only cause of the waiting list and limited production numbers of three to five boats a year VZ could produce at the time. Stopped in production in 2006 the semi-custom VZ 18 is today considered a classic in its size and style for Mediterranean flybridge Motor Yacht types. Currently VZ offers a three model line up; 56, 64, and the 68 flagship model. A custom line 72 model is reported under construction. Previous to its closure in 2012 VZ had in 2011 launched a new 65 evolution of the 18 and 64, and presented a 58 model project in replacement to the 56. VZ new website is only available in Italian and takes you around with the following buttons; Chi Siamo (about us), Il Cantiere (the boat yard), Servizi (services), Le Barche (our boats), Il Nosto Usato (our used boats), Custom Line, and Contatti (Contacts).
