Project: Bavaria DA10

Now after the announcement of Bavaria at the beginning of September to develop a revolutionary new motorboat concept the first drawings are done. This opens a new phase in the project DA10. The first prototype will set sail in spring 2016.  From customer surveys, market analyses in cooperation with the global dealer network of Bavaria and countless in-house workshops in cooperation with Vripack, one of the most known design offices for yachts from the Netherlands, Bavaria has compiled the design draft for DA10 what is a classic contemporary design, a clever space concept and efficiency were the central themes of the first development steps. Result: There will be a Sedan and Fly version of the DA10, alternatively in a two or three cabins version. The central place of the life on board of the DA10 is the main deck spacious salon. Both from the central helm stand, the big drawing room table and completely furnished galley with cooker, stove and a big fridge you can enjoy the perfect 360-degree view of the sea and of the nature.  Below the saloon are the engine and the technology of the DA10. With this revolutionary space concept it is possible to create more space for all cabins, but particularly for the aft cabin.  A proper suite is planned for the owner in the fore ship. A thought-out full light concept with windows and big hatches in the deck creates a bright ambiance in the owner´s cabin. Beside a king-size bed and storage spots in the wardrobes and storages, the future owner will also have an own bathroom with shower.  As a semi displacement motor yacht the DA10 of Bavaria is not designed for speed, but for economical cruising, safety, comfort and a travelling in harmony with nature. Volvo engines of between 75hp and 300hp give the necessary driving power. The body form, engine, gearing, and propellers of the DA10 have already been thoroughly tested, optimized, and tuned by computer simulations in large series of experiments to ensure a fuel consumption that is as low as possible.

Project: Princess 49

Princess finally decide to fill the long standing vacuum between the 43 and 52 model, with the project of a new IPS propelled 49 flybridge cruiser. Going against the rumors the 49 will feature a new hull, and is not based on the V48.  Wider, longer and heavier by a no slouch five tons are the three words which you have to look when comparing the specification of the 49 with that of the V48. The interior layout of the 49 goes on to follow all the latest trends; L-shaped astern galley, and a three cabin lower deck with a full beam midships located owners room.  The engine and propulsion set up of the new Princess is also very interesting, and while the new 49 will use the latest Volvo 550hp IPS pod drive combination, power plants located at midships marks also an attention to weight distribution which will serve well while cruising.

New Model: Raffaelli 42 Typhoon Sportage

Raffaelli is back, and after making recent years showing future plans the known Italian name headed to the 2015 Cannes boat show with an important new model, that of the 42 Typhoon Sportage.  The new Raffaelli is in many ways representative of the firms look see light curved shear-line and style of bow, but the super structure looks and propulsion put the Italian boat builder into new ground.  It is fair to say that while with the 42 Typhoon Sportage Raffaelli brings a fresh novelty to design and boating in general, the new model does not over do it in its lines.  The 42 Typhoon Sportage is a very original design, covering a new niche in today's market.  To be fair to press it is not something totally new, Italcraft had a similar model in the late seventies named 43 Espada, and it was in that time a good seller for the famous Rome marquee. But apart presenting an original design the 42 Typhoon Sportage also has a lot of substance, offering three large cabins below deck, a living entertainment orientated main deck area, and an original raised helm.

Improve-it = Rodman 44 Muse

Its been one of the most famous models in its size, since launched in 2007. At its time the Fulvio de Simoni designed Rodman 44 Muse was a very innovative product thanks to a project fully based on the Volvo IPS pod drives propulsion. That means engine at the back, and more space then ever down below for a flybridge cruiser measuring less to fourteen meters. Now just short to seven years to its debut the Spanish builder Rodman face lifts the 44 Muse with some important make up changes, mostly of which are larger view windows both up and below deck.  For the rest the 44 Muse keeps its high pedigree for a spacious three double cabins flybridge cruiser, with a nice vibrant performance of 34 knots with twin Volvo 435hp and IPS pod drive propulsion.

Project: Galeon 300 Fly

It's a common occurrence in boat building that once a marque develops and founds success in the larger sizes, it spread its wings further and forgets about its smaller models. Seems Polish builder Galeon does not share this idea, and this new 300 Fly project is testimony to its beliefs in building a complete line of innovative craft. The 300 Fly follows previous latest models in what the Strazyn brand refers to its third generation series, and will also be completely new meaning not based on the 290 it will replace. The 300 Fly now to be its new entry level model is a compact flybridge motor cruiser with a two separate cabins lower decks and a shower head plan; master cabin to fore, and guest double amidships. The main deck offers a living area this having a C-shaped settee to port side, galley opposite, and a helm station. The flybridge presents itself with a center pilot seat and a sun pad to aft. Engines options have not been announced but Galeon says the 300 Fly can be powered by engines up to twin 225hp.

Project: Steeler 46 Panorama FlatFloor

This new project from Steeler and designed by known dutch firm Vripack the 46 Panorama FlatFloor is one of the most innovative to come around since some time.  To be build in steel and featuring a semi displacement hull the 46 Panorama FlatFloor shows innovative spirit first for its single floor interior and second for its immense use of window surfaces. Another innovation in the 46 Panorama is a Multifunctional tank which can be filled of air, diesel, and water. When filled of water the tank reduces the height of vessel by one feet making it possible to pass for most of the inland waterway bridges in France. If you fill it with diesel your range increases dramatically.  The standard layout of the 46 Panorama is a two cabins plan with owners room to fore, and guest cabin amidships.  All the cabins are located in the main deck flat floor area this also featuring saloon and galley.  Also various options exist for the guest cabin from a separate galley, to two single berths. New Model: Princess 43

It's always hard for a builder to replace a successful model, and this surely was the case for Princess when it decided to move on from its decade produced, four hundred plus units sold of the 42.  The Princess 43 replaces a long standing popular model, but more then replacing, this novelty evolves it with a list of important practical features. While many might think otherwise the Princess 43 is a new hull, longer by three feet, and beam extended by eleven centimeters.  For this new 43 Princess worked a lot to improve the convivial areas, the flybridge for example a weak spot of the 42 now features a superb practical layout with more living space and a dinette which works, and the aft deck one of the most respected features of the replacement has also been increased in space and now includes two way transom doors as the larger Princess models.  Inside the theme of more improvements continues, the main deck saloon is for example a view delight with its large all around windows making inside and outside blend in easy, and the galley located below also has a better connection to the saloon.  Below both of the cabins also feature more headroom and an increase in space.  If you want to be hard to get and find a weak spot to the Princess 43, I would say that considering it's length of fourteen meters that would be the no third cabin optional choice.
