Project: Botnia Targa 41

Botnia present the project for a new Targa 41 model, sitting behind the 44 and 46 flagship models.  The Targa 41 looks to be based on a new platform rather, then the 2004 launched 42 model, which then became the current 44 and 46 models.  Like the bigger sisters the new Targa 41 will offer a living on the main deck, with two separate cabins areas, forward and midships sleeping five.  Both cabins will feature en-suite bathrooms, with the midships cabin offer a double berth and a single, and a difference from the bigger models will be the addition of larger vertical window serving the midships cabin.   The flybridge on the Targa is a cozy affair, offering an L-shaped dinette and helm station to port side.  The Botnia Targa 41 is powered by twin Volvo 400 to 480hp engines in stern drives of IPS pods drives.  Top speeds are estimated up to 42 knots probably reachable with the twin Volvo 440hp stern drive propulsion match up.

Project: Botnia Targa 32 Tarfish

Botnia Targa 32 Tarfish project is the flagship model of sportfish range of the Finnish boat builder which features three models and starts at 25 feet.  The 32 Tarfish is an updated version of the 1040 and features the same door design from the pilothouse to the large aft deck and fish tank as the other Tarfish models.  As all Botnia Targa models safety is very important not only with its deep Vee sea worthy hull but also in the wide side-walks, high side rails, gunwales, and well placed grab-rails.  The interior offers a spacious pilothouse, roomy toilet in the fore cabin and three berths in the aft cabin.  The Botnia Targa 32 Tarfish can be powered with eight engine options in a single or twin stern drive propulsion, and start from a single Volvo 370hp and go up to twin 400hp engines.

Project: Botnia Targa 27.2

Botnia Targa presents the project for a third generation Targa 27, the Targa 27.2.  The first version, simply Targa 27, which saw the light of day in 1991 has since its very beginning been the main pillar in the Targa range. After eleven years and 200 boats built the second generation, Targa 27.1, was launched. And now, after 400 built 27.1, it's time for the Targa 27.2 to take over.  As always Botnia is true to its idea. Targa 27.2 follows the same concept as the rest of the range with its walk-around, its flybridge and its sliding doors. When it comes to the design and functionality Targa 27.2 follows the same style as the latest Targa models.  The pilothouse is more spacious in both width and length giving an increased level of comfort with four spacious berths in the aft cabin and a standard toilet in front of the pilothouse.   The Botnia Targa 27.2 will be powered by a stern drive propulsion, with power options starting from a standard single Volvo 330hp and going up a 400hp engine option. As it is obvious the Botnia 27.2 keeps  the legendary hull characteristics which has made the 27 model such a success in over twenty years of production and a total of four hundred units delivered.

New Model: Botnia Targa 46

In February 2016, a Swedish Targa 44 owner told the Finnish company that he would be interested in a new slightly larger than the present largest boat model, and at least to start with, it had to be something that no-one else had. An agreement about a Targa 46 Custom in time for delivery in the spring 2017 was made. At that stage we didn’t know if this would be a one-off boat or a model that we later would offer also to other customers. The boat was produced during the autumn 2016 and was successfully delivered to the new owner in Vasa in June 2017.  During the building stages of the Targa 46 Number one and during the season 2016-2017, there was a lot of interest in this boat. The decision was therefore soon made: to launch the new Targa 46 model as a new addition to the Botnia fleet!  In short, the new Targa 46 can be described as an extended version of the popular 44. The Targa 46 hull is 75 cm longer than the Targa 44 hull, giving the boat a total length of over fifteen meters and a hull length just short of fourteen meters.  In order to be able to customize the boat for the customers specific needs, the Targa 46 is offered with three different pilothouse lengths: standard 44 model pilothouse, T44 plus 40 cm pilothouse, and T44 plus 75 cm pilothouse as the picture above shows. This gives the customer the possibility to choose between a really large aft deck, or a really large pilothouse or a proportional compromise between aft deck and pilothouse as in the 40 cm version.

Improve-it = Botnia Targa 35

Botnia Marin from Finland presents a new Comfort Fore Cabin for its Targa 35 model.  The new CFC offers a totally new level of comfort on board. This alternative layout of the fore deck and cabin features a raised area with secure railing and easy movement. Inside, the CFC adds to more space, storage and head room. In the Targe 35 this has produced two alternative bed layouts; a double drawn to starboard side, or a Vee-shaped berth. By adding the optional toilet in the fore cabin it clearly raises the privacy onboard and flexibility. Botnia decided to develop the Comfort Fore Cabin version after listening to feed back by customers who were seeking more comfort for the interior space and the accommodation. This option is also available in the 37, and 42/44 models which PowerYacht will show you in the coming weeks.
