Anchored Sport Cruiser Ends Aground in Protoras Cyrpus

An anchored but also swing moored sport cruiser of eight meters in length ended beached in Protoras beach, Cyprus on the morning of Monday thirty June.  According to some Facebook chatter the boat anchored in the beach the day before.  Rough seas on Monday dragged the sport cruiser and beached it.  The sport cruiser was recovered three days after the accident by a crane and taken to a boat yard for repairs.  The story was shared by Pantelis Kolocoudias, and then shared on Boating in Greece.
The boat in this accident is a Chaparral Signature 27 second generation as produced from 1992 to 1999.  The second generation Signature 27 was a replacement to the first generation Signature 27, and was replaced by the Chaparral 260 Signature.
